I was floored to find Indian and Middle Eastern groceries in this Shell gas station.I had stopped by when I noticed I was on Empty, then went in to get a Frappucino. I was delighted to see all the stuff they had - sumac and zaatar, shelves upon shelves with real Middle Eastern/Greek olives and oils and baked goods and couscous etc, etc.I'm going to go back soon!

In and out. Better than Chevron across the street.

I visited this market at the suggestion of a friend, who said they have an excellent selection of Indian grocery items. What a treat! I was able to purchase Indian spices and seasonings at low prices, and they had almost everything I needed. The young man working in the store helped me find Hing, a seasoning that I couldn't find elsewhere. He was friendly and encouraging about my interest in Indian spices and food. I'll be back but not for a while, as our kitchen is now well stocked.

Had to be in the area during covid. Stopped at this shell station thinking I would grab some crackers or such. Walked in and the hot case called to me. I was hesitant, but the folks are super nice and were just putting out fresh made. Chicken was crispy and hot. This saved me. Will stop here again when in area when all is open again. Great spot for a take out meal.

Had the best chicken at this Shell Station. Cooper's Chicken is delicious and I highly recommend you stop in for a quick lunch or even to pick up dinner for your entire family. I know I'll be back soon and often.

I have been going to this store gas station for 20 plus years. The last few times I have been in the store at night the cashier has not had his mask over his nose and mouth. I have asked him to pull it up. I don't feel it's my place to have to do that. I am a senior and I am scared to death of the virus. I will no longer be going there to shop or get gas.

Yep, this is the Shell gas station just past the Molsberry supermarket that sells the locally semi-famous fried chicken to go. But I came here to browse the 3 aisles of Indian groceries. I recently took a 3 hour cooking class with a private Indian chef. She directed me to this place for my future culinary ingredient adventures. The selection in the 100 square feet of package goods, frozen goods, bottled goods is not utterly comprehensive, but adequate to prepare a modest Indian meal. The impressive selection of many different rices in 20 - 40 pound bags is eye opening. I walked out with 10 items. Mostly grains, lentils, chickpeas, etc.. A bag of crunchy snacks, some frozen breads and samosas. All the items are imported, surprisingly a couple of items are made in Canada. Prices are moderate. Be aware that no fresh produce, meats nor fishes are available. The folks are friendly. Oh, the fried chicken looked and smelled delectable. When I come back without my health conscious wife I'll eat some.

It's a novelty experience. Fun friend chicken, small tables outside to enjoy your meal immediately.

Only local place I've found for Indian groceries in Santa Rosa. Small selection but good products at the back of a convenience store (plus gas station). Frozen foods such as Samosas, Indian snacks, Papadums, Methi Gota and I discovered Muli Paratha - all great Indian appetizers for a party. Also have my staples like mango chutney and spices. Saved me a trip to Cotati or Berkeley. Helpful people but a really busy store so you basically have to know what you're looking for.

This food had promise but suffers from some fatal flaws, not least of which is service. But first the food. Tried dark meat meal, mashed potato and gravy, and fed beans and rice. First the chicken. Would have been delicious if only the frying oil (which was also wafting in a great cloud in the store) hadn't been used many many times. Dude, it's not a car so don't wait 6 months for a change. The beans were undercooked - almost crunchy - and the gravy... as Marge Simpson would say "The secret ingredient is salt." As for service, first off, don't order the meal. It comes with one (1) biscuit which never made it into the bag. Second, never watch what's going on behind the counter, not if you want to keep an appetite. Watching her wrestle lids and containers, with ungloved hands, using her pink manicured nails to pry them apart, running the surfaces under nails that were hiding godknowswhat - it makes me vomit a little just typing these words. She went from containers of food to the heat lamp to her face and clothes without even washing her hands. So much contamination. Add to that the piles of dirty dishes, the grease in the air... I've been to Asian night markets that are far cleaner. So yeah, unless you're into dare eating, I'd stick with Popeyes.

Tasty but just ok overall. Better to order ahead so less wait time. This is food to go.
