I love this SLT store and the staff are both helpful and knowledgeable. Most of my cookware I buy based on their advice and I have not been disappointed.I only wish dealing with their corporate online service reflected the local stores because their customer service is terrible. Don’t bother to call the online support line. All you get is an AI response and it is difficult to get to a real person. If u do it is a useless call center. Shop locally and avoid online.

I came in looking for a cookie cutter because my great-nephew is coming for Christmas and he wants to make ginger bread cookies. My wife called before I stopped in to see if they had them and the woman on the phone told us they had four left. I was having trouble finding them so I asked the woman behind the counter for some direction and she proceeded to be very rude and then tell me they didn't have any. I am glad I decided to believe the first person we spoke to because another employee actually helped me find the last four left. I also decided to purchase a new shun knife and while I was there the same woman that was rude to me kept giving me dirty looks the whole time. I don't know why she took such a dislike to me and while I know they are stressed this time of year, I was very polite and just trying to find something for our family’s visit for Christmas.I am a chef and my family and I have purchased at least 2000 dollars in kitchen knifes from this store and I am seriously considering finding a different store for my supplies in the future.

sweet greeting at the door from 'heather'. wanted a paella pan but she said they were out and suggested a lecreuset braser. she said great things about the pan and with the curved sides i would still get the crispy bottom all around and i could use the pan for lots of other items. i bought one and the line was a little long but went fast. the hot chocolate was very good. samples of peppermint bark was given to everyone in line so i bought one of those too. the cashiere told me where i could get good recipes for my new pan. she was nice thanked me for buying local and invited me back. nice customer service. thank-you,

The staff really go the extra mile to help you find what you need and answer your questions! Lovely, clean storefront with welcoming and positive vibe. I could get lost in there for hours. Great experience, will definitely be back!

Wow. Just leaving my local store… won’t be going back. Super rude floor staff. I’ve never posted a negative review, but again, wow.

This review is for Heather, the General Manager, and Kate, who is the expert in their pans and various other merchandise they sell. I recently bought a cast iron enamel skillet and was challenged by cleaning it. Heather was so good at understanding the problem and immediately referred me to Kate as that was her area of expertise. Both of them were patient and thorough in explaining the different ways to take care of the pan that I loved.Without their guidance, I would have been hesitant to use the pan again. Next time I want to buy a kitchen item, I'll check to see if Sur La Table carries it rather than going elsewhere.

They were good about answering my questions in regards to my Expresso machine. However, they couldn't advise me on where I can take it for repairs. Only could say that parts were hard to come by

My husband and I had decided to have a cooking class date night and we chose the Bold Tuscan Flavors class. We were seated with some amazing people! The energy that was at our table through the night made us leave the class with lots of positive emotions and great memories. Unfortunately the class was not as good as our table mates. The strip steak with chianti pan sauce was 1/5. The stake was completely cold by the time we had a chance to try it because we had a break right after cooking it and it was bland. It had no flavor at all which was a big disappointment. Potato gnocchi with basil pesto was 5/5. The best thing of the night. Had a super rich flavor and a nice texture, plus it was my first time trying it and now I want some more of it. Arugula salad with lemon-parmesan dressing 4/5. Nothing special but I liked it. Mint chocolate chip gelato 5/5. Yum! Super tasty. I was a little disappointed that the chef put all the gnocchi ( from both tables ) into one pot and cooked it, so you weren't sure if you were eating the ones you made. Our chef was a nice lady but she was wrong when she said avocado oil has low smoke point and couldn't be used as an alternative to canola oil. We even googled it to make sure and we were right. We didn't get a chance to make gelato even tho I was looking forward to it when I booked this class. They said it needs hours to get done in the freezer, which makes sense but still. They do offer a 10 percent discount on the entire store if you participate in one of their cooking classes, so that's a nice bonus. Their prices for the cooking classes are lower than any other classes around. The actual store with all the kitchen accessories is pretty expensive tho. Overall the people that were there definitely made this experience one of a kind which makes us want to try another cooking class. But you can't rate the actual cooking class based on people and the energy you were surrounded by.

Beautiful store. Helpful staff. Having only been in the Seattle shop until now, it's a very different experience. Clean and fully stocked. Fun to see they also offer cooking classes.

Husband and I took a cooking class here with Chef Maria. It was so much fun. She was so kind and patient. She taught us how to make brick chicken, lemon risotto and mint-lemon sorbet. Everything was delicious and we had the best date-night. Cannot wait to make these recipes at home and on our own. We definitely recommend taking classes here and loved our instructor, Chef Maria!

Took a cooking class at Sur La Table on a Saturday evening with work friends and let me just start off by saying that it was super fun ! The chief is nice and really knew how to wrangle in a group size of 16! We learned how to make empanadas , a corn salad , and then finally a steak sauce! There were 4 stations with 4 different groups each with their own set of kitchen wear. They allowed us to bring a bottle of wine to share . And of-course at the end we dig into what we made. They offer 10 percent discount in their store so if you used something you liked you can buy .

Wow. Met with the most unwelcoming customer service today. Never had a bad experience in here until now. I felt like such a inconvenience as I tried to make an exchange and purchase more items. Heavens I ask where something is or ask to wait to finish my transaction as I saw something else I wanted to grab. The woman who helped me didn't have a name tag so I unfortunately can't identify her other by describing her by looks. Older woman with very long natural colored hair and today a grey zip up fleece.

We recently took the Parisian cooking class and it was delightful. The food was excellent, the menu was manageable yet impressive. I already have plans to host a dinner party with the Coq au vin recipe. Heidi was fantastic and very helpful. I will definitely be coming back in the future for more classes.
