They close the whole building down for lunch for an hour when most people are trying to do their banking because the banks are closed when they get off work they have usually one to two tellers and the bank is full of people I've been with them since the name of the bank was Sonoma Bank I'd say back 2004ish and now they've changed my free checking account to an embark account and my one free cashier's check I would get a month to pay my rent is now $12 this is like the worst bank in America I thought Chase was bad I thought Wells Fargo was bad I have been proven wrong

Staff knows my name. My business checking account has great consideration in service, that make it easier for my Coaching Co. to keep afloat in turbulent times within and without. I get sound advice , when I want trusted financial, on-the-spot backing in unexpected performance on the go.

I used the College Ave. branch pretty much exclusively to auto-pay recurring household bills for a home I own nearby. I use two other banks and neither of them demanded I make an appointment as the College Ave. branch did before they closed. Last week I received four checks, three of them refunds on my vehicle insurance policies and a fourth from DMV that I took to my new branch on 4th St. When I got to the door there was a sign "CLOSED FOR LUNCH 1PM-2PM." I expected when I got back to the branch after 2pm that there would be a minimal staff but that was not the case. When my check supply runs out I will not be ordering any more. After posting this I noticed on my deposit receipt "Let us know how we're doing" with an IP address for a survey. That's next...

So I agree with many of the others. Although less rude and more just inept at customer service. With the current pandemic it is even worse. First our bank in Healdsburg closed a year ago now we have to drive to Windsor; which is now closed due to the pandemic. I have to drive to Santa Rosa and this is super inconvenient because we are a small business that has to make regular deposits and staffing does not always allow us to do so, but I did and things were going fine and then one day I show up and am told I need to make and appointment. How about notifying your customers of this change. Skip a few weeks; I call to make another appointment and then they try to tell me to do it online. I do not have time for this BS. They used to be a good bank, I have had two mortgages through them. I get that everyone is getting cranky but if I treated my customers the same way I would be out of a job. Skip ahead again and to the reason for this post. I call to make and appointment press 1 to leave a message or press 0 to reach a customer service department......NEITHER prompt recognized. Seriously!

Horrible service!!!! They want to nickel and dime you to death... past tellers always waived cashiers check fees during tax time.... all the sudden "it's no longer policy".... my account has over $60k in it... how much are they making in interest on my money? I'll be taking my business elsewhere. This place is GARBAGE

Rude personnel & not helpful. Not one friendly face & last rep had people skills. Whole staff should be retrained on customer service skills

Probably the slowest service every. I wrote this review while I was waiting in line just to show how much time they take. About 7 minutes in and still waiting.

I was very disappointed by the customer service today. I waited awhile, which is ok with me. I felt uncomfortable when I left. The bank teller did not say "sorry for the wait", or have a good weekend/holiday. I said " sorry to bother you". I felt unwelcome, and like not even coming to this location anymore.

Called this bank because of business reasons. Employees are not knowledgeable- they paused for a good while after I asked my questions because they had no idea what I was asking (they could have asked me to explain further rather than holding this long awkward pause). I was transferred multiple times; each time I have to repeat the whole story but not surprisingly other employees also didn't understand what I was looking for. Only after couple transfers, someone finally understood what I was looking for. Even that, she was slightly aggressive and wasn't willing to help further. If I were in the states, I would rather not have a bank accounts than having to deal with employees who have no idea what they're doing.

Why does a bank require employees to answer the phone with the following “Thank you for calling Umpqua Bank, the greatest bank in the world This is an absurd assertion. I was originally a Circle Bank customer which was bought by another bank which was acquired by Umpqua. The employees are friendly but the services are below average. I have had numerous issues over the years with online banking when upgrades have been made. I travel internationally on a regular basis and have consistently had my debit card declined due to the bank vendors antiquated fraud system. Even when I notify the bank which countries I will be visiting. I'm planning to switch banks.
