Great service and communication. TV repair for LED replacement but not cost effective in this instance due to parts that would have to be ordered. I would use this business again for other video or audio needs simply because the Manager/Owner was knowledgeable and courteous.

I brought in a semi high-end AVR that had a serious problem. It took some time, and at first, it looked like it would be too difficult to repair. Regardless, Rashid had contacted the manufacturer, but not even that helped. He was persistent, professional, and knowledgeable, and eventually was able to get it up and running again. In a world where electronics have gone from analog to digital, it's intricately harder to repair instead of replace; this is presently overtly overlooked at this date in time. It is so much easier to tell the customer that your component is now e-waste. But if you have a piece that you're invested in and means something to you, Rashid just may be your guy. I applaud him for his undying efforts, as I'll be a customer until he retires ;-)

Rashid is helpful in discussing if a repair makes sense, then also in performing the repair. For me, he worked to repair a vintage (50+ years old) audio receiver and ultimately recommended the receiver was really not worth spending more time to further troubleshoot. He provided options in lieu of payment that worked out great for me. We worked out a trade for an even better vintage receiver that I am thrilled with. Rashid is an experienced tech and stands behind his work. Photo is my 'new' vintage receiver. :-)

I took a Marantz Receiver in for service. I was given a price to evaluate and fix what needed to be fixed. Then I was given a price to fix "everything".I chose everything.When I picked the receiver up, the receiver doesn't work on FM. I called the shop and was then told, "Oh, the price doesn't include repair of the FM receiver". Along with a lot of excuses.WHAT?? Its a RECEIVER!!Also, he told me everything included replacement of all the lamps inside with LEDs. He didn't replace the meter lamps.The amp works great now. Vinyl sounds better than ever. iTunes sounds fantastic. But no FM receiver.I should have known better when the owner asked for full payment in advance. And didn't offer to demo the unit for me when I picked it up!!Live and learn. Ask lots of questions. Get "everything" in writing.Buyer beware!

I'm writing this review because the owner has treated me with the utmost disrespect. Unsure if it is because I am woman or Black woman or he's just a crappy person but I took my Samsung television here to get the backlight replaced. He ordered the part and replaced it however when I came to pick it up, he carried the TV out and broke the screen. His response was that he was glad that it happened there because he would have thought that I broke it. Nonetheless, I did not react to this but he and I couldn't figure out a solution at that moment but he offered that he may have another used TV at his other shop. I declined until I found out more about the tv that I had (e.g. cost, type, etc) since it was a gift to me. I had the tv for only a few years. A couple of weeks later, I called him and asked for $400 (includes the $250 that I paid for the repair plus $150) to settle since Samsung offered a tv for $2k as today's equivalent. I didn't think he should pay $2k and actually found a Samsung at Costco that was on sale for $379 plus tax. It took a lot for him to agree when he's only out of $150 versus thousands. I thought what I offered was fair and equitable. He has been so disrespectful asking me why it took me so long to pick up the check, etc. Well, I have to work and I had some family things to attend to. He is asking these things as if I am trying to scam him or get money from him. I went to his shop to pick up the check and got the same reactions of asking me all these questions until I told him that I didn't have to answer those questions. My question is why didn't he call me since I am the customer. He asked for my address so he could mail the check which I have yet to receive so I called today. He answered and told me that I need to call Samsung and ask about the cost of a screen (which I already had done early on), because he feels that $400 is too much that I am asking for. Well, I reminded him that $150 is actually what he's paying because that's what I had given for the repairs. I told him that he has been disrespectful this whole time and he hung up. I called him back and left a message. He called me back and then said he had to hang up for a customer so I asked what am I??? You hang up on a customer for another customer?? I didn't ask for a damaged tv. I wanted mine repaired and he recycled my tv without even calling, asking or anything before settlement. This is a sham business if you ever have any issues with them such as this one! Take your TV elsewhere! We'll see if I get the check as he states is now in the mail...

I recently bought a very expensive synthesizer/workstation online from a private party and sadly UPS paid no heed to all the FRAGILE labels on the shipping box and the keyboard arrived damaged with a broken slide control and damage to a non-existent circuit board. Rashid was able to repair the damage and now the keyboard is back in action! He definitely saved the day for me!!!

Fantastic! My TV works great now. Such a simple solution, but it took a smart person to see the probelm. My TV was sitting on a pad and wouldn't stay turned off. Rashid figured it out quickly. Wow.

I made many calls to many computer repair places trying to find someone who could solder a snapped off part on my HVAC wireless thermostat. Nobody fixes these circuit boards and from what I can tell nobody does soldering anymore. Then I found Video & Audio Repair center. Almost nothing but 5 star reviews. Called and asked if he (Rashid) did soldering and he said bring it by. It required micro soldering and he had a machine that could do it at his other shop. Two days later it was complete. The repair was not cheap but it saved me close to $500 on a new unit. Even the maker of the unit does not make repairs. They just throw away the item and sell you a new one. I highly recommend Rashid and his Video & Audio Repair.

Rashid refreshed a Pioneer SX-850 for me, and it now sounds amazing. (The real "amazing", actually amazing. Not just an expression.) Surprisingly clean, round, and large. I've now given him a 50-year-old Mac pre-amp to work on. He says the issues are normal, no problem. He's not cheap, but the results support the cost. Recommended.

Rashid was a pleasure to do business with. When our 75" TV started getting lines across the screen he quickly made time to troubleshoot our issue. When he determined that the issue would cost more than the TV was worth he helped us to find a used option which ended up being a newer version of our TV for a great price. Saved us a couple thousand dollars! Thank you Rashid!

I brought in an electronic controller to a PC gaming component that had stopped working properly and the polite gentleman here was able to show me where it had overheated and logically explained to me a few options to getting it working again. I Highly recommend.

Not too many places around offering repair services these days. Friendly service, convenient locations. Went here to get a statement of repair for an extended warranty.
