If I could give zero stars, I would. we ordered a standing rib roast for Christmas dinner. we went to pick it up Christmas Eve and they had lost he order, but treated us like we never put in the order. We will not shop there again, even though it is the closest grocery store to our house. They're too big and they don't care about customers.

Some skinny old lady from the deli got mad because I didn't wanna pay for my items then and there. I told her I was going to do some shopping still and she said she'll keep them up there. I told her it was fine I'll take them she then proceeded to throw the sandwiches at me. I let that go but then she proceeds to follow me around the store! For what?? We paid for everything. I came back because I forgot something and I walk in on her talking out of her ass being hella racist and saying we looked suspicious because we where walking around. Like excuse me wtf am I suppose to do it's a grocery store. She kept talking and asking people if we paid for our items. When I came back to talk about the situation no one seemed interested on helping. They just expressed that's how she is. Like y'all just let your customers get harassed. Very disappointed.

Small store, generally not my go-to for grocery run but had a terrible experience yesterday, not only were they out of stock of most items I was looking for. the employees I talked with were less than helpful. They shrugged off my concerns and just wanted to be done with me. I went to buy a salmon from their counter, and the African American gentlemen serving me was less than thrilled I was there. He kept sighing and rolling his eyes and didn't answer any of my questions and I could tell he just wanted to get rid of me! They need to treat their customers better and not act like it's such an inconvenience to help me. I will probably not be returning ever.

If you look at the reviews on here it's clear there is a problem with this store. Same kind of things being said for years. Poor management, poor customer service, rude employees, and innapropriate interactions or things being said on the sales floor by management/employees. I've worked in customer service and the grocery business for 25 years, there's something very wrong with a store consistently having the same issues. Things being out of stock happens, prices going up happens, a random bad encounter happens, but constantly the same complaints about employees professionalism is a higher up problem. Possibly more training or higher standard requirements. No one should be listening to music in a checkstand. I've seen comments about the sane issues being addressed for years and no change, so what is being done? Instead of an apology, how about changed behavior. I've spoken to the managers at this store in the past about the issues, no change. I stopped coming to this store during the pandemic and recently thought I'd give it another shot. Worst experience yet. Homeless laying by the door when you walk in. A few clerks in the parking lot with friends, sitting in their cars hanging out. No one at all was in the Starbucks box. The store manager was standing at self check playing on his phone. There was a clerk taking a call on an aisle. I didn't think it could have gotten worse then a couple years ago, but it most certainly has. I'm done with Safeway, and most definitely this location

If I could give this store zero stars, I would. I watched the most innapropriate situation with the store manager and an associate. They did not realize I was right there and were speaking with profanity and making homophobic comments about another customer. The things I witnessed were not something I'd expect to hear in a high school locker room, rather in a professional setting of a store, by the manager. This store lost my long time business and I plan to seek upper management for Safeways attention on the matter. Completely unprofessional.

This has to be the most poorly stocked Safeway I have ever seen - and I realize there is stiff competition for this dishonor. Items I need are never in stock, shelves are in such disarray I have to search for a while to figure this out, and no one seems bothered enough to make any changes to their supply chain management. Here's a tip, manager: If you're ALWAYS out of something, it's because people want to buy it - so stock more of it.

The worst customer service. I have been standing at the customer service desk for 20 minutes. I have been told by 3 employees they don't know where the manager is and they don't work in that area to help me. All I am trying to do is drop off a package for FedEx as instructed on their website. Hey Safeway, if you don't want to accept packages then don't commit to FedEx that you will. My already low opinion of your business has gone even lower. Shop Oliver's or Wholefoods where they actually care about their customers.

Today I needed to send money through Western Union. Sending money is done through the customer service kiosk. I was helped by a woman named Joanna. She was very nice and had great customer service. I really enjoyed talking to her. She is the right person in the right place, seemed like she really enjoyed her job. Thanks Joanna for having an awesome connection with me today.

Just have to add to my comments about the Bakery in the 4th Street Safeway. This Safeway team has "pride." Ordered another custom cake in COVID times and sure enough, the product they produced was like being in a small town in France--friendly and they aim for perfection. Why is this extraordinary? Because most essential workers these days are risking their health to be there for you! On a personal level we are celebrating our milestones and when you find a match where the product they give you says that they want to make you as happy as possible, it's amazing. Go Safeway on 4th Bakery team!

Pick Up Review... I've used pick up at Calistoga Rd and 4th Street. The 4th Street location is hands down better than Calistoga Rd!! I thought I'd try 4th St because it seemed Calistoga Rd was always 'out' of many items I'd ordered. 4th St has always got my order correct, almost completely filled (except Diet Coke which is out everywhere) and the employees are so much nicer!! At Calistoga Rd the employee pushed the cart to my car and said here it is and walked back inside (more than one trip) on 4th St they always say just pop the trunk and they'll put the groceries in and are very polite and conciseness of how things are put in. Thanks 4th St! Keep up the good work!!

These contractors have been working while not correctly wearing their masks and spitting on the floor for over 3 weeks. I talked to the manager and was told to shop elsewhere if I didn't like it.

Sorry to say, but all of the Santa Rosa Safeways are terrible! While the orientation, food, and quality is similar at each store, the lines and staff are not so great. Don't bother using their restroom in a pinch either, you will thank me later. If you need a quick in and out with the self checkout, you are good, but standing in line is brutal during peak times. Sad to say as well that no matter what location I go to, their produce is not good at all! I will say though that other Safeways in nearby cities tend to be a much better selection, so not sure what's up with Santa Rosa's Safeways...

Zero enforcement of customers whom are not wearing masks or following arrows on the floor. I reported the person not wearing a mask, who I asked to put one one several times times. As it was unsafe, I without my groceries! Safeway 4th Street is unsafe! Customer with no mask and kid walking with her was coughing and posing a danger to customers! Do not shop Safeway 4th Street. Reporting to Public Health! Safeway should be shut down as numerous people on Nextdoor have complained of employees not wearing masks! Shame on Safeway!
