Friendliest staff- they always point me in the right direction, no matter what the project is I am working on. I love the feel of this store, it is a true old fashioned hardware store with all the modern needs. Plus they have the garden section where we get our seeds for our planter boxes and plants every spring for our garden.

Super helpful folks, I can talk to them for hours. I have to admit, most of the times I really don't need to go, but I can't help myself, free 🍿, knowledgeable staff, quality goods, a lil of everything.

Some items on the higher price side but it's in a tourist area so that's expected. Have a great selection of things for RVs.

I stumbled upon this store when we took our dog to the vet. I always went to the Ace Hardware store in Solvang. Like the ads say...."Ace is the place with the helpful hardware man!" I hate shopping for specific screws nuts and bolts. A nice nan helped me to find something that was even better for my specific need. A $1.50 sale... and they treated me as if I bought a complete new set of tools. I'll be back.

There is a really grumpy elderly man there to avoid if you can. It's fairly high priced and kinda messy but nice to have in a pinch.12-2023; I haven't seen grumpy in some time(: Well maintained and stalked. Nice and helpful attendants, and friendly at the register, too. Love their spring/summer flowers, trees, and plant selections!

Terrible customer service. I bought paint, the person who mixed it added way to much of another color that it wasn't the color it was supposed to be anymore. But because it was black, they tried to say that after 4 coats it would be fine. First of all I wouldn't put 4 coats of paint on an interior wall, secondly it wasn't at all black it was purple & not even a deep (could almost pass for black purple), but rather a brownish purple. They wouldn't refund or exchange even though it was incorrectly mixed. Then, while I was speaking to the manager, he put me on hold to talk to the guy in paint, then the phone went dead, I though we got disconnected but no, he just left for the day. There's two Aces in the valley, go to the Solvang one.
