Overall the facility is adequate and they have areas for varying activities. The resistance training areas are a little cramped at peak hours and the clientele is not well versed in weight room etiquette. So, bring your earplugs for the weight droppers and prepare for long waits when people "camp" on a piece of equipment. The air flow could be better especially in the Covid era.

My sister Lynette has been coming to the YMCA for several years now. In that she was born with cerebral palsy, she has limited mobility and requires low impact pool workouts to aid her with her strength & mobility physical therapy. She started coming to the aqua fit classes and fell in love with being back in the water. She not only has gotten herself stronger, but also has made some new friends! From the moment she walks through the door, she has been greeted with smiles & warm welcomes from the staff which helps her feel extra special! I'm grateful to the YMCA for being here in the Santa Ynez valley & playing a huge part in helping my sister maintain her independence, mobility & for being a positive part of her life!! I also am a member & love working out here along with being in the pool my sister and helping her with her pool physical therapy. We even have been nicknamed the Mermaid Sisters We highly recommend becoming a member of the YMCA and enjoying everything it has to offer!!

Been going to the YMCA for years now and enjoy it! When you walk in you're approached with a warm wlecoming from the front desk receptionist including Andres, the membership director. He's great, along with the other members of the Y.

Super clean gym with everything you need! Machines and cardio in a separate room from free weights which makes it very convenient for your goals. Staff is very nice! Andres especially was very helpful and I love coming here anytime I visit!

Great gym, great pool. However COVID-19 protocol seriously lacking. Often, people are working out with their mask not covering thier noses or around there chins. Staff seem to ignored the issue and never ask them to properly wear thier mask. I have mentioned to staff and i am ment with an "oh well"

7:15am UPDATE: Very nice lady who runs the ymca here turned my experience right around. Doors opened promptly at 6am. Very kind morning crew of locals checked in and then she checked me in for my visitor pass. $20. Very accommodating. Pointed out all areas of the Y and even walked me back to show me the outdoor weight area. She apologized for the hours being incorrect online and told me to never trust the Apple Maps hours of operation. GTK Masks required indoors, even while doing cardio (which seems like a health hazard if you're on the stair master or treadmill). Facilities are VERY nice for a ymca. Two weight rooms (machines and free weights) + the bonus outdoor weight area, large lap pool, basketball court, spin class, etc. locker rooms are clean. ***there are no towels for you to use here, so bring your own!*** At the end of the morning journey, this place and these people were a very welcome reprieve from the other experiences I had today. Thanks YMCA! I'll definitely be back. 5:30am: Wrong hours posted online. Lacking customer service. Showed up at 5:30am. To be greeted by a lifeguard who was opening the facility. "We aren't open till 6" - oh dang. The hours on your website and online say 5:30 "Sorry" Proceeds to open door and close behind him... apparently ending our conversation. Hahaha. Side note: I've had a string of bad luck with gyms this morning, including a bunch of people who don't seem to be very happy. Maybe these folks need better caffeine sources? Update: a woman showed up at 5:45 AM. On her walk in, I asked her if I could buy a day pass to the gym. As she walked hurriedly toward the entrance, she replied "Yep. And it's 20 bucks". Will report back if I actually get a chance to work out this morning at this gym.
