The treatment of the disable is deplorable! Simple, I was sending my employee down to pick up some items I wanted since I can’t walk. And I was told that I can’t use the annual membership card I paid for that I have to be there to use it. I even offered to send my ID and my debit card to show it’s me and offered to verify via phone call. Ironically this particular Barnes and Noble is not very Noble they are always trying to find any possible way to make it impossible for someone home bound to get items they need or want.

Sunday Staff was friendly. It was nice to walk around and see all the different books. Of course love the price points of the clearance section. Starbucks is a bonus for sure.

Jaime and Beverly were both very knowledgeable. They were able to make solid recommendations for a good read based on my interests.

My first ever bad review and it is my pleasure to say it is because of the 2 managers at this store, Laura and Trisha.
I carry my own bag so that I don’t need to purchase one, and have never had issues with my putting books in my bag, until today.
I was treated like a thief, yelled at and then followed around the store by both of these two clowns. I’d use a different “C” word, but I’m sure my review would be removed.
As I would have expected a manager to show some decency and let me know that it’s against store policy, which I would have absolutely understood and apologized for my mistake, I was wrong to assume such managerial qualities from either them.
I am/was a proud member of Barnes & Noble, as I like to give my business to anyone other than Amazon, but now am refusing to give them my business because of Laura and Trisha’s poor behavior. With this review will be a cancellation of my membership and a call to corporate to inform them of the disappointment of their hiring standard.
The other staff were pleasant and I’m sorry for my rudeness.
As for Trisha and Laura, I hope you have the life you deserve.

Amazing surprise. They still have an amazing book store with great selection, great service and Starbucks. I was so happy to see. I have been in a few locations recently that were so stripped in inventory and service. Not here. I had a great experience. Thank you!!!

It lacks a larger section of books in Spanish. Otherwise, it is excellent and pleasant.

So many childhood memories here, the nostalgia and fresh book smell can’t be beat.
I wanted to buy a few books to keep me occupied during spring break. Saw a coupon on the website- 30% off Hardcovers. Big surprise, it didn’t work for the one I wanted.
The hardcover I picked up was $29.98, the paperback was $22.98. That’s almost $55 for 2 books. No thank you!
I spent 2 minutes to walk to target. Same exact hardcover was $16.98, and the paperback was $13.98. Same Target price for these books on Amazon as well, with free same day Prime delivery, by the way. There are so many options besides B&N to buy physical books. So, I paid $30 for both books, earned target circle points (their rewards program is free unlike B&N), and saved $25 that I used for some needed groceries.
Childhood memories at B&N are great but why would anyone pay double the price. I’ll be sorry to see you guys go in the near future, I’m sure, but you have to adapt to survive. Maybe we will finally get a Whole Foods in Santee in the big empty space that B&N currently occupies.

They have no problem following customers around but won't ask if they need any assistance. Only found one of the books I needed. I'll be shopping at grossmont Barnes and noble for now on
