My children have been attending Children's Choice Learning Center for about 2 years now, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed with the facility and the warmth it exudes. As a parent seeking a nurturing and educational environment for my child, I found that this daycare center truly stands out for several reasons.
Environment and Facilities: The first thing that struck me about Children's Choice Learning Center was its welcoming atmosphere. The center is bright and colorful, with age-appropriate decorations and learning materials that stimulate children's imagination. The classrooms are spacious, clean, and organized, fostering a sense of safety and comfort. The outdoor play area is equally welcoming, featuring age-appropriate equipment that encourages physical activity and social interaction.
Programs and Curriculum: Children's Choice offers a well-rounded curriculum that emphasizes both education and play. The center incorporates age-appropriate learning activities that focus on development across various domains: cognitive, social-emotional, and physical. I appreciated the emphasis on play-based learning, which is essential for young children to thrive. Ms. Jazmine, Ms. Heather and Ms. Jessie also integrate art, music, and storytelling, allowing kids to explore their creativity while building critical skills.
Staff and Caregivers: The staff at Children's Choice Learning Center are clearly passionate about early childhood education. I always noticed how attentive and engaged they were with the children. Each caregiver is patient, warm, and skilled in communicating with kids. There is a genuine sense of connection between the staff and the children, which creates a trusting environment. Additionally, I find that the staff-to-child ratio was appropriate, ensuring that each child receives ample attention and care.
Communication with Parents: One aspect that stands out is the center's commitment to communication with parents. They offer regular updates about children's progress and activities through the Procare App. Furthermore, I appreciated the open-door policy that encourages parents to visit and participate in various activities. This transparency fosters a partnership between the center and families, enhancing the overall experience for both children and parents.
Safety and Health Standards: Children's Choice prioritizes the safety and well-being of the children. The center adheres to strict health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and secure environment. Procedures for emergencies, allergies, and illness are well communicated, which is reassuring. They also promote healthy eating habits through nutritious meal options, helping to instill good practices from an early age.
Conclusion: Overall, our experience at Children's Choice Learning Center is overwhelmingly positive. The combination of a nurturing environment, comprehensive curriculum, dedicated staff, and clear communication makes it a top choice for daycare services. I am confident that my child is in good hands, both academically and emotionally. I highly recommend Children's Choice Learning Center to any parent looking for a daycare that prioritizes both learning and care in a vibrant and engaging environment.

My child has attended this school for 2 years and we LOVE it. The staff is amazing. They truly love and care for all the kids who attend. They are constantly making investments into the school and students to make sure they have an amazing experience. My child has learned so many important skills socially, emotionally and academically. I can’t say enough good things about this school. If you’re in need of a loving, structured and happy place for your child, I can’t recommend this place enough.

I have tried four different daycare’s for my son in his four years of life and I will not be trying another daycare. This daycare is caring, attentive, understanding, and everyone there is super sweet. They make life easy not only for people with a budget but for kids with behavior issues and working moms, they are just absolutely fantastic if I could give them more than five stars I would!!!

I’ve had my 3yr old twins and 4yr old daughter enrolled here for a little over a year. If you’re a parent like me who was shopping around for a clean, safe, fun, and educational based facility for your child(ren) to tend to, I will say this center is nothing short of amazing.
A few things to highlight:
1. Communication - Ms. Vanessa, Ms. Jesse, Ms. Natalia, Ms. Jesse, Ms. Heather (both of them) Ms. Jazmin… all have a fantastic level of communication. They also have part-time staff who are all currently in school furthering their education in this industry. They are consistent with updates to the facility, curriculum and send lots of photos throughout the week. If there any instances if my children such as bumps their knee, stubs their toe, bites their tongue, I receive a notification via app and email almost immediately & staff will also verbalize this upon my pickup time. In some cases I will receive a phone call if necessary.
2. Welcoming environment - My children absolutely love the staff members, love coming to school and sometimes hate coming home. They are embraced & departed with hugs. At first it was challenging to leave my kids because they were very attached to me, but the staff knew exactly how to comfort snd soothe them which made the drop-off process easily adaptable for my kids.
3. Education - My twins were 2 at the time of enrollment, and since then have learned how to listen and adjust to a group and class setting. All 3 of my children have learned how to be respectful, classroom mannerisms and so far know their ABCs, count to 20, shapes, plants, animals etc. They are often bringing home their school work and it’s so refreshing to see that they don’t just color Disney pictures all day. Instead they are learning sensory play, they bring home tracings of their name in paint, or glued on cotton balls. And they are often working on letters and different sounds.
4. Drop-off / pick-up - this process is so seamless. You scan your QR-code, a staff member usually meets you at the door and will bring your child to you or pick-up your child at the door. If they notice your child is having a hard time letting go of you… (which still happens to me at least once a week) the staff will help you by embracing your child and distracting them while you make your getaway to work. Lol
Overall… my family is absolutely happy with Childrens Choice Santee. Thank you!

REVIEW FOR CHILDRENS CHOICE- cottonwood location This place is amazing! To all the parents out there, i am going to write a detailed review because i feel like Director Vanessa and her staff deserve a high rating. When my husband and i were placed with our foster daughter last month, i was scrambling to find a care center that had an opening in the middle of the year, i searched and searched and everyone was booked. In a last attempt i drove to CCLC and was greeted by Vanessa the director. I feel like she could sense my panic. She calmly told me that she would be happy to take my daughter. She even recommended resources for me as i am new to foster care and they have other foster kiddos at her location. Over the next few weeks as we filled out the paperwork and got everything set up, Vanessa was very kind and thorough in checking in to see if i had any questions. She let me stop by 2 more times to make sure i was 100% comfortable with the facility and her staff. Here are a list of pros- staff is very nice. Vanessa is amazing. Jazmin who is there for the 6am shift greets the kiddos with a warm smile. The other teachers are always cheerful when i pick up my kiddo during afternoon outside play time.- the ratio of teacher to kiddos is good. It doesn't seem like chaos when you arrive and the teachers don't looked stressed out and over worked. - the classrooms are clean, there is a/c. The lighting is calm for the kiddos. - there is plenty of parking.- there is diversity- they use Brightwheel which is a fantastic app. They text you updates and pictures throughout the day and you can always text them and they get back to you quickly. BUT you won't see the staff always on their phones, they are 100% watching the kiddos.CONS- location- i only have one con but I realized what a advantage it is. The facility is small compared to other east county care centers. It is behind a church and in between two condo buildings. There isn't a huge outdoor play structure. I didn't like this at first. HOWEVER, no play structure means less chance of a fall accident. The kids have more chance for imaginative play. They do have small yard like structures throughout. Lots of blocks and basic toys. There is shade as well. I hope this review helps parents / caregivers. I know i was hesitant to enroll based on the reviews but they are older ones. And it seems like Vanessa wasn't the director at that time. Anyway, GREAT JOB!

Never bring your child to this daycare. My child and I have not been to this daycare in over a year. My ex asked them to write statements for a court case and again they did this saying I'm a bad mother with no evidence. Without even talking to me in a year.

Don't bring your kid here If there special needs. My two kids are on the spectrum and one is non verbal. We explained all this to them when we signed them up. We also told them that there would be extra help coming in to help with our kids. Today was there 3rd day and we were told there not welcome back! I will be talking to an attorney for discrimination on kids with special needs! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!
