Hawthorne Country Store Santee is a great store with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. It offers a good selection of products and lots of good items for animals, including the freshest hay and Kalmbach feed. The store is very clean, very spacious, and very stocked with practically everything needed for animals and more, even some neat accessories and good jams. It is excellent for chicken and rabbit needs, and hosts helpful events like the rooster round-up and chick raising classes. Customers report fair prices and excellent customer service.

Great store, lots of good product, and some really neat "accessories." Try the jams! SOO good. Even some free horse treats on the counter the other day, and I was on t he way to see my horse, so well timed!
