Adam is amazing, I went to other shops and they all tried to up charge me but when i came to Adam at karoomi’s he was straight forward and gave me the real price and didnt try to do extra things to take my money which is what a good mechanic should be like. Amazing customer service

Honest, good work, accommodating to last minute requests when they are able to. I always feel comfortable recommending people to come here. I have never been unsatisfied. They always are willing to take accountability for their work and if a problem persists they make sure to check it again. Very friendly

If I could give this mechanic zero stars I would. I went in to get my knock sensor fixed - and on my way home from getting that fixed at Karoomi's (not even 2 miles away and not on the freeway), my car caught on fire and was eventually declared totaled.
I'm not sure what they did - but I'm pretty sure it directly impacted my car catching on fire. Thank God the kids weren't in the car with me. As soon as I got out of the car (after seeing black smoke billowing out of the hood), the doors locked. I would have been trapped along with any kids in car seats. It could have been so much worse. Not only that, but we pursued legal action and discovered that the shop had a lapse in insurance coverage at the time that my car was serviced. Why did they have a lapse of coverage? Because they didn't meet safety standards. So not only did we have to buy a new car in an awful market for car shopping - but we weren't able to be compensated for the damages and trauma that we experienced as a result of what should have been a simple fix.

The auto repair shop I patronized for 3 years damaged my AC last month, and refused to correct the problem, leaving me without AC during the Sept heat wave. I checked out several other repair shops, but didn't feel confident about any of them. Then I came upon Karoomi's. With no appt, the young man behind the counter immediately brought my car in, charged my AC and added the needed freon. He got my AC working great again, and I was so pleased with the quality of work and wonderful customer service, I returned today to have my brakes replaced. I am relieved and grateful to have found an honest, expert auto repair service, and will be a loyal customer of Karoomi's from now on.

Karoomis was my go to for my oil changes, so I sent my son there when he was looking to buy a car and have it inspected. A very quick inspection was done, but I didn’t think anything of it, because I trusted Karoomis. Turns out there was more wrong with the truck than what was stated. My son did go there to have some of the things fixed, like the brakes. He just had an issue with oil coming out onto one tire. He brought it in to have it checked out since it was believed to be the brakes, and those were still in warranty, and because the family’s mechanic was busy at the time. They said it was brake fluid leaking and told him what he needed. My son was able to get in to see the other mechanic a couple of days later, and he said that Karoomis definitely didn’t even take the wheels off in order to properly inspect the issue, and that if they had, they would have seen what was really wrong. I said that there was no way they didn’t take the tires off and do a proper inspection, so my son called on speakerphone and asked if they had taken the tires off. Sure enough, the man who saw my son said he didn’t and that he could tell just by looking at it. Even though my son has a warranty, he didn’t feel safe bringing his truck back there and it looks like he’s going to have to pay, just to have fixed what should have been inspected and properly done in the first place. I’ve told so many people about Karoomis, but I regret that now. Mistakes with brakes can have huge consequences, and this is my kid we are talking about. Yikes.

This mechanic provided a truly disappointing experience. Despite charging me around $500 for a supposed fix to my oil leak and engine issues, I ended up visiting the shop six times with the same problems persisting. Each time, they promised to rectify the issues, but I was constantly met with additional charges without any resolution. It's clear they took advantage of my lack of automotive knowledge, as a young female, and I ended up spending over $3000 without any real fixes. I'm currently pursuing action with the Better Business Bureau. Save your money and avoid this place at all costs. Consider yourself warned of this place.
Later Update: I followed the instructions provided in their response below and emailed them immediately. It has now been a couple of weeks without any reply. It appears they are not interested in resolving their mistake or issuing a refund despite acknowledging the issue.

I brought my car here for an ongoing issue. They told me they could fix it and got to work. They called two days later and said it was fixed. I didn’t even make it back home, because it broke down for the same reason. WORST mechanic ever, and they don’t fix their mistakes.

You won't find a better shop! Adam and his team are the most honest and skilled auto mechanics I have worked with. They are not afraid of a challenge and will never give up on your car. They always work with the customer to give you the most affordable and quality options they can. No surprises. I took my Volvo there for about two years until I moved out of the area and I still recommend them to friends!
