I specifically told the vet Dr.singh not to scrape my pets face because that wasn’t where she had a sore and he completely ignored everything I said and continued to cut open her face and her front left leg when I asked him to look at her back right leg. And when I asked why they intentionally cut her face when I told them not too they wouldn’t give me an answer. DO NOT COME HERE.

I have a 7 year old German Shepherd that can be dog and people reactive. They were absolutely great with her! They trusted my judgement and my suggestions on how to handle her. I am beyond pleased with this Vet and will continue to take my babies to them.

Went here because most of the reviews are good and most importantly pricing and care are at my upmost consideration. My cat had a tooth removed and was told the swelling that was there prior to the tooth removal would go down but never did. I also thought it was a tooth removal but after asking for the tooth that was removed apparently it broke into pieces. After that she seemed in great shape but the swelling never went down. I took her back for an annual visit, she was 15. All was good by the test results but she slowed down her eating, they didn't seem as concerned as I was. I asked again for a recommendation for increasing her appetite and was given something but it did not help. Her legs gave out one night and by the next day at 11am she passed, October 26th 2020. I called Mast the night her legs gave out and they said to bring her to the closest hospital but did not say with urgency. I should've just taken her, asap. After doing my own research I found that when this happens to your kitty you can only prolong the situation. Just remember to give her your love as much as possible because others won't care as much as you do.I recached out to them again and about what could've caused such a quick turn of events after a "healthy checkup" from the doctor and was finally given a response 2 weeks after from a vet assistant then the doctor but it did not explain why, only what it could've been... Then got sent a condolence card with a bunch of signatures and responses from people who did not interact with Cleo or myself. Only one I saw was sincere since she was the person who I met and spoke to. I found it difficult to trust a place that you never see the main Vet and half hearted responses are worst than just not saying anything.

Was with Mast Blvd Pet hospital for years but recently something has changed. They charge for unnecessary exams and their customer service is lacking at best. Took our senior dog there for euthanasia and despite them knowing about his age, heart issues, and arthritis, required an exam and consultation. The whole appointment was awful. My dog was stressed and in pain, something I’ve never experienced in similar prior situations. I was left feeling like I really let him down by taking him there. On top of it, they charged $400 for the ordeal. Save your money and your pet’s dignity and go elsewhere!

Nancy TMast Vet (Santee)...Dog went in spry and peppy. Thinking there were benign fluid filled tumors again that needed removed. Misdiagnosed first saying she had arthritis. 10 minutes later, Vet runs out of back door and jumps in reddish SUV that had pulled into gas station next door. THEN told by office person that she had to be euthanized immediately or I could try a vet hospital (which they were) but told she would probably die before being able to be helped. TOTALLY distraught! Less than a minute after she was euthanized they started peddling the cremation boxes! She came home in a box. Please check other comment areas , like yelp. There are some posts of loss, anger and sorrow! #tears#lost love

I went here for years and my last experience with them leaves me never wanting to go back. My dog became lethargic one day and stopped wanting to really eat or drink. So I immediately took him in. They started asking me questions on if he had fallen or been injured somehow and I told them no. My dog is always with me so I would have seen it. They insisted after bloodwork and X-rays that both looked normal and that it had to be an injury. I told them I didn't believe that but that I'd tried the prescribed pain meds. He didn't improve and I was in panic mode as he was declining. The front desk staff was always so rude, I believe her name was Priscilla, and would be condescending when I'd call with concerns. I tried calling after I was concerned when he was getting much worse and they put me on hold and left me there until they closed. I tried to call back and sent me to their after hours voicemail. When you're in the line of work of saving animals and caring for them, that should be your priority. Not clocking out by 8 and ignoring scared pet parents because you don't want to have to stay late. You are in the wrong career. After that I rushed him to La Mesa's emergency hospital and begged them to see him because Mast did what they did. They admitted him and he was in such bad shape we ended up having to put him down. I even told Mast that his eyes looked so lost and they said his eye sight was fine. The emergency hospital told me he had gone blind and that he likely had a brain tumor or liaison. I was at mast for 2 hours and $800 in and they told me nothing useful. I was at the emergency hospital for 30 minutes and they were able to provide me answers to what was happening. This all was in a matter of 36 hours. I'm so heart broken that getting off the clock was more important than trying to help a patient. This overpriced uncaring place will never get another dime from me. Find a different vet that actually cares about your pet and not just the money they can make.

If cost is a factor, don't go here. They charged me $1600 to spay my puppy. Once someone warned me that I was being gouged, I called El Cajon Animal Hospital, Cuyamaca, Judy Vet Clinic, and El Cerritos. All estimates came in at way less than $800 including anesthesia, pre-surgical exams, and bloodwork (as well as including an umbilical hernia repair). While I am sure you will get competent veterinary services here, you are going to pay about double what you will pay anywhere else. Call around and get other comparative estimates and I am sure you won’t go here.
