Saturday July 13, 2024. I was followed by a Security Guard and always followed by multiple AP (Asset Protection) who are so obvious that it's pathetic. Very annoying and upsetting. So they deserve all of the thefts they get everyday, from people who look like them, that they don't profile and follow all around the store. ZERO STARS

If they want to price match they would. The old lady cashier at customer service was rude neither very helpful. while electronics was much more helpful and were able to price match when online it states you can.

As a San Diego native and black male, I've always steered clear of Santee and El Cajon for the most part. Most in my demographic would agree - no explanation needed.
I purchased over $500 of Zevo bug spray, both green and purple cans. I resell and it was an item for business. I checkout at self-checkout pay for everything and bag up. Upon exiting, a young, white, female employee, quickly walks over to me and demands to see my receipt. I'm blown away. I'm thinking to myself - Are you not aware that I'm the only black male in here, every single kiosk is occupied, there is a line, and for some reason (racist reason), you come straight up to me and demand my receipt? Insane. Like a deer in headlights, I initially just froze in shock and stared at her. I snapped out of it, and without saying a word, I attempted to maneuver my cart around her. She physically jumped in front of me and got on her walkie-talkie requesting security to the front. Shocked and humiliated, I relented and aggressively put my receipt in her face and called her a crazy B. I remember feeling so defeated as I have been experiencing racial profiling to a degree that some would probably jump off a cliff. Another older, Asian male employee witnessed the whole thing and walked me out while profusely apologizing for his coworker's behavior. That did make me feel a little better, at least someone understood what I was feeling. I came back in to speak to a manager. He was a white guy who somewhat mocked me and didn't seem to care as he smiled while stating, "I just got here so I don't know what's going on." This was pretty foul.
I deleted the original post because at some point you just want to forget it, but I'm so fatigued at this point. This happened back in late 2021 or so but it's still fresh in my mind. I'm actually looking for counseling - can't do this anymore.

This store is over crowded and under staffed. It's also extremely hot! It was about 75 degrees in that store. Horrible experience I will not be back

This place is going downhill fast. To the woman with the salt and pepper buzz cut who was allegedly "assets protection" why on earth would you stand directly behind me and stare at me when I am trying to get into a parking space? What assets were you protecting by blocking my vision, basking in the nonexistence of your self-proclaimed authority? I was simply trying to park to collect my prescription from CVS...what were you doing? You did nothing but fixate on me and obstruct my vision while I maneuvered a deadly vehicle. Then when I finally navigated around your interference and parked my car--you promptly left. Surely, there were more pressing tasks than monitoring me. Perhaps addressing the scattered carts that hinder parking in the first place would have been more beneficial? The rapidly declining standards at Target is so disheartening. It's pretty much Walmart now. Target, why are you allowing your employees to menace the parking lot? You are capable of better standards. At least, you once were.

I love target! I work here and everyone is so kind here. The Starbucks team is amazing maya, Kiley, Luna have best customer service and recommend shopping here. A few rude customers. It’s always clean here and we have security that makes this place safe. A lot of discounts which I love and the front of the store is great. If you need a cashier come to my line my name is Ciara

This Target is rediculous, i came in to purchase a infant baby car seat. On the way out, the (Lady) security stop me and check for the receipt. I happy to show it to her but I don't understand why only me got stop? But not everyone else at the moment (bunch of customer walk out with full shoping cart and bag). Lolz just because i am a asian and walk in the store with short and sandle? I thought this is 2024, but i could be wrong

This person must hate her job. I asked if I can get a receipt reprinted because the machine printed half of the receipt. She told me verbatim I should've picked out a better self check out machine as if I was supposed to know what works and what Doesn't. It Was condescending and unprofessional. I think target needs better. Customer service training for their employees, however, I will command the manager on duty, which he used exemplary customer service and use the proper verbiage, addressing the issue. I don't remember his name, but I can't say he had the skeleton tattoos on his hand.
