I was really looking to having all of my rugs replaced but after the very combative disrespectful telephone conversation with Lori the front desk worker at Village Carpets in Santee, Ca who was hell bent on talking over me and being rude in return on the phone.
I for sure will be taking my hard earned money and business elsewhere.
I'm not exaggerating at all this is what is happening:
Then as a reply to this the owner was quick to reply to this review rub it in my face that he gave me a discount
((((for and error his company made and on top of that rub it in my face that he did not charge me for a delivery of the rug that was messed up.)))
This guy doesn't follow the concept some things are better left un said.
Stay tuned for more I'm sure
This is what your in for when you do business with this company.

Spent several $$ on a project with Village Carpets-Flooring America, and we will not be working with them again. Below is a summary of why. TL;DR I suggest to continue your search and use one of the many other flooring companies/installers in San Diego instead of Village Carpets.First the good - the two installers did good work, and were very friendly. Also Marty, one of their employees, is fantastic. Marty answered some early questions for us at the start of this new project. I would love to work with Marty any day of the week . He is knowledgeable, friendly, responsive; we used his prior company (Casa Interiors) for a job before and that work was stellar - no complaints.Sadly, I cannot say the same about the current administration, Village Carpets. We worked with the new owner, Sean, on a recent project and had a very different experience.- Among four options who bid the job, Village Carpets was the highest. We went with them based on Sean's perceived professionalism and prior good experience with Marty. We put down a deposit - immediately after we gave them money, things declined.- The job had complexity: one door transition was complicated, and flooring would be installed over 1960s tile with asbestos mastic (adhesive). No one knew what the condition of the tile would be like until the installers ripped up the carpet, which would then determine the next possible steps. We explained this in detail to Sean over phone calls, texts, and during his visit to the house to measure. We were assured Village Carpets had the resources and knowledge to deal with the situation, and that the door transition would be no problem.- Day of the job: Installers arrived, and asked where they were supposed to install the floor. They did not know where in the house it was being installed, where it was supposed to end, or critically what lay beneath the existing carpet - the 1960s asbestos floor. I asked if Sean or the office had given them much info, background, or direction on the job - the answer was no. It appears a note or memo was never sent to the installers, as we had to walk through the full details of the job with them day-of, when wife & I should be working our day jobs.- During installation, multiple, sizeable areas in the old floor were found to be chipped and missing; the plan was to install right over it with no patching. (I have done this before, and the results are not good). Had to insist to please patch these areas. After completion, talking to Sean about difficulties of the job, poor communication, and lack of guidance/installer awarenesss, the professionalism and resposiveness disappeared. The story also changed on the complicated transition - quote from Sean: "it would be too much liability" to adjust the adjacent room's floor pieces. This was never told to us, in fact the opposite was said beforehand. Village ended up giving a discount of 4%, something I feel is not adequate. When paying a company this much for work they specialize in, a reasonable expectation is: competence, good communication, customer service, honesty. Village Carpets violated each of these four during our job; we will select a different installer for any future work.

Not recommended. Communication through out the project was difficult, with major differences between information from the office and the field.I was left with a job where, having had the whole house recently painted, I have had to scrape and repaint old caulk lines. Floors aren't level throughout the house, which I knew but is a more complex issue.A pre-walk through would have been very helpful. I was out when they showed up and had already moved all their equipment into my garage which I did not want. I had a large side yard for that.Clean up was haphazard and sloppy, leaving me with quite a bit of things to dispose of

I worked with Lori Drake and MyRemodelAdvisor.com for a full kitchen renovation, garage renovation and all new windows and front door for my home. I simply cannot state enough how fantastic Lori is as a Senior Remodel Advisor, and as a person. She was with me every step of the way, as promised. Lori came to every appointment and consolation, expertly guided me on choices, looked for the best possible pricing and was a complete joy to work with. Lori truly made a somewhat stressful undertaking, a wonderful experience. Using her years of experience and vast resources, Lori wowed me every step of the way. I cannot recommend Lori highly enough. You won't be disappointed!

I had the carpet replaced in our living room. I wasn't happy with the way it turned out. The seam stuck out like a sore thumb. But I was very happy that Village Carpets stood behind their product and were able to makes things right to my satisfaction. Thank you Jahna for all of your help and to Tom and Kim as well. It may have taken a little time, but I am happy with the way things turned out. Thanks Again - LeeAnn

Jahna was a real pleasure to work with in finding our carpet. She sent home a small sample and ordered a much larger please of the carpet that we were looking at. The larger piece helped us decide on that color. We returned it and ordered our carpet. The carpet came in just over a week and an appointment was set up to have it installed. The two gentlemen appeared on time and moved our furniture and the carpet was installed in just a couple of hours. They then moved the furniture back and were on the their way. Both the product and the two men that installed our carpet were wonderful. We are very happy with our carpet and the men that installed it. When we recarpet another room in our home we will return to Flooring America and would encourage others to do the same.

Lori spent a lot of time with us, helping us choose the best type of carpet and helping us pick a color. I'm terrible when it comes to decisions like this so it was very helpful that she was able to come to our place, with samples, and set them up against the walls so we could get the best idea of how it would look. We love the carpet that we have. We also looked at vinyl plank throughout and once again, Lori found a fabulous one.

Don’t waste your time or money with this company.I set an appointment in mid November to get a bid for flooring work. Everything seemed professional and cordial so I set aside the time to meet their representative. On the appointment day No one showed up at the agreed time, no calls or explanation, just silence. It is now a month later I still have never heard from them. No we’re sorry, can’t make it, can we reschedule……. Absolutely nothing!Consider this, If they “Forget” their clients and commitments before the work is done what will happen if there is a problem with their work?? Why risk it, use some other company for your flooring needs. I am.
