Chronically understaffed, especially on obviously busy days like Friday. This problem has been an issue for years, and clearly management doesn't feel like ever changing it, so it's best to walk away and shop elsewhere if you're fed up with it.

I was just at this Vons this evening and when I got home I notice my potatoes were wet and I thought my son’s juice just spilt on them . Come to my surprise the potatoes were rotten and full of maggots.i have never had this happen and when i called all they said was that’s disgusting and to come in for a refund but i couldn’t drive back today. And I told them I ended up throwing away all my groceries . Because when I bagged my food I always put it in the same bag!!

I just was shopping at this Vons about an hour ago. I had trouble with self checkout. The young lady working the area literally ran to my assistance when I asked for help. She fixed my error then entered the code for the bell peppers that I was purchasing. I told her that I was impressed that she knew the code. She told me that she knew all the codes! Enthusiasm like this is hard to find.
Sorry for not getting her name but I am sure she is well known in the store.

Worst customer service ever! Waited over 35 min for bakery department and no one is there and even if you ask other employees. They reply that we don’t work there and leave you!
This the worst store ever! Don’t go there at any cost!

I am short and disabled, having difficulty reaching top shelves is always a problem. The staff was friendly and quick to help. Had a really good shopping night thanks to them.

Yesterday my 2 year old son had an accident due to the cart locking system at the door ( which i’ve never see in any store before ) and not of the employees seemed to care.
A female employee said she was going to get help, but she got a second lady who just wanted to fill out a report.
Never offered ice for my sons head, no I hope he is okay, not a single concern. Once she finished the report she said I could leave.
First time at this store and never coming back. Bunch of heartless people.

Amanda in the floor section was wonderful
I had a terrible time finding a bridal bouquet that was affordable. All the floors wanted $250 and I want a man that made for me was only 30. She was patient and kind and made exactly what the bride wanted

Love the Santee store and have been going to it for 24+ years. However, today a man outside had a table set up selling Trump hats. UNACCEPTABLE!!!!
You just lost an extremely loyal customer. If you allow Trumpsters to sell his merchandise outside, I’m done and will find another store.

03/19 at 10:00 pm, worse cashier's I've ever seen, one lady told a girl she needed to come back tomorrow to issue a refund because she was too busy, a customer walked up asking if there was anyone available for assistance, and the other cashier told him not really. I also bagged all my own groceries while the cashier was done scanning and she just stared me down the whole entire time I did it. No offer for help to speed up the process. They shut down the self checkout registers as well. Like how dare I get groceries at 10pm. I work nights, just moved to the area, the service was horrible, and it's not like it's 10 minutes before close, they close at midnight. Make it obvious they hate there jobs.

Not my favorite grocery store. It is clean and well stocked. The workers are pleasant enough. Just always feel like I have to pay more for everything.
