Unfortunately, my experience at this gas station was most disappointing. Like other unhappy customers, I was the victim of a scam orchestrated by the boss himself, as soon as he realized I was a tourist on vacation.
After authorizing an $80 transaction on the payment terminal, in accordance with standard practice for foreign bank cards, I was unable to put gas. The counter staff admitted their mistake and assured me I would be refunded within 48 hours. I was then asked to repeat the authorization on the payment terminal. To my great surprise, the amount authorized was only $75 instead of the $80 I had requested. I refueled and headed back to Yosemite Park the next day.
However, despite several days having passed since the transaction, I have not seen any refund on my bank card. So I contacted my bank for explanations. Unfortunately, due to the different payment amounts and the fact that I entered my PIN twice, my bank informed me that there was nothing they could do for me.
This experience has been frustrating and disappointing in many ways. I feel deceived and exploited as a tourist. I strongly advise against this gas station for all travelers looking to avoid scams and inconvenience.

The rating for this place is negative.Last Saturday, the 21st, I passed by this gas station to fill up my car and went in to ask a question about paying directly at the pump (really silly!), there was a middle-aged man (I don't know if he works there or if he owns it) who, upon realizing that I was a foreigner, was extremely rude, shouting in an attempt to intimidate, even saying that he wouldn't waste his time with me and that I should leave the place.When I saw that the citizen was completely out of control, I left. As I was leaving, another person approached and asked what was happening and I heard him swearing.Unfortunately I didn't see the rating and the other comments here, I strongly recommend that you avoid this place at all costs if you don't want to have a bad experience!

I was staying at the casa Madrona and walked to this place to grab a pack of cigarettes. As I purchased them the clerk says to me "You're not black." I was confused and retorted that I most certainly am of African American decent and realized he was making racist assumptions based on the Newport brand cigarettes that I had purchased.

**STAY AWAY*** find another place to stop. The man who is the possibly the owner is dangerous and per the police is very difficult. We stopped to get gas and find a restroom, one of the only places in the area. Purchased our gas and our men went to find restrooms since there were none. As soon as the men left the owner came out and started circling our car. And then when he told us to leave because we were blocking cars he started to tell my friend who was a woman to shut up and get the fuck out of his shop called her a bitch and got in her face like he was gonna get physical with her. All while our men were not around. I had to interfere because he was literally chest to chest with her. Then when the guys came back he still kept on and decided to call the cops probably cause we were darker skin. We stayed to defend ourselves and tell the truth. Even when the cops came they said he was difficult and just kinda appeased us. He has no business licenses posted, he has no air/water for auto cars and clearly a low mental capacity. This business needs to be shut down or they need to change their personnel asap. Bad look for such a pretty city.

Walked in to pay for gas and too used the restroom. The old man at the counter didnt even looK at me. I stood there for a minute too get gas and he would not acknowledge me. Then it dawned on me that he was watching Israeli news and I was wearing an Islamic cap and and I'm Black American. He was displaying his Anti Black, Anti Shemetic, and Anti other Semitic people attitude. I have nothing against anyone, I have friends in all walks of life. If he was Jewish, he was a bad representation of such great people.
