Bomb ass Vegan Vulcan Wrap! The very best vegan Sammy ever. Amazingly fresh and super delicious ingredients. I got the habanero chutney and it was awesome. Can't wait to return to this place.

Worth every penny. The menu is so extensive I asked the sandwich maker to recommend one, he suggested the Turkey BLT with avocado. I took his advice and went to the register to pay, the clerk said $20 so I yelled across to the deli to see if they had made a mistake (I didn't look at the menu on the wall) a nice guy yelled back, (turns out to be Davey) this is not just any old BLT it's made with the finest ingredients and it's loaded with yum. I waited as the sandwich maker went to work, carefully toasting my bun and lathering it up with delicious greens, onions, sauces and love. I couldn't wait to eat it! I wandered down to one of the house boat docks and found a chair in the sun to enjoy my sandwich (half then and saved the other half for later) as I sat their delighting in every bite a passerby glanced at me & my sandwich and said; Looks like a "Davey's delicious" I looked up and could only nod.

This is a small sandwich bar in a corner market. The sandwich was really bad. We had a turkey white boy special on Dutch crunch with the "works" which means the VERY basics. No pickles, no peppercini or olives or anything. It had zero flavor. The turkey meat was awful. Tough, chewy dark thigh meat with tendons and such still attached. The only positive was the friendly man at the checkout.

Sandwich was great until I found a thick black hair in it! They also don't wear gloves when making the sandwiches. Please work on your cleanliness guys you could be so much better. Please wear hair nets and gloves when making the sandwiches.

My favorite sandwich shop in Marin. Vulcan Wrap 3-star spicy is my go-to veggie sandwich. Can also be a salad. Call ahead 15 minutes to avoid the line.

Not @ Davey Jones Deli, but @ the Bait Shop.

What a pleasant surprise! We found Davey Jones Deli on Yelp when looking for a quick and healthy lunch on our drive from SFO to Healdsburg. They focus on locally-sourced, fresh, healthy ingredients. We pulled into the Harbor Center and were a little confused. The Deli is located inside the Bait Shop Market. The Market is part Bait Shop, part Liquor Store, part General Store and looks to be the go-to spot for people who live or work nearby on the water. Davey Jones Deli is known for their sandos so my niece ordered the Chef's Ham and cheddar panini - she didn't want all the accoutrements and the staff were happy to accommodate and make her simple sandwich. Her eyes lit up after her first bite and she exclaimed that it was the best sandwich! Two of us were intrigued by the vegan Vulcan Wrap (a bestseller) and the Booty Bowl. We opted for Booty Bowls and we were happy with our hearty, healthy choice! What's in a Booty Bowl, you ask? What's not in it?! Check out this abundant ingredient list: Quinoa, Apple, Carrot, Cucumber, Radish, Beet, Tomato, Pickle, Onion, Bell Pepper, Cilantro, Cabbage, tossed in Hummus, Balsamic, Roasted Garlic and Roasted Red Bell Pepper Sauces I asked for no bell peppers and my sister asked for no dressing. Again, the staff were happy to modify for us. We loved our bountiful bowls and couldn't finish them in one sitting; we each took half home to enjoy later. Note: there's no seating at Davey Jones or nearby in the Harbor Center (at least none that we saw). So plan to eat in your car or take your food to enjoy elsewhere.

I’m a bit dumbfounded. This is where expectations and reality don’t align. Came in yesterday for a sandwich after seeing the rating. The guy working the counter wasn’t very friendly. When asked for suggestions he didn’t know the menu well enough to give one out. His response was it’s whatever you like. I don’t know what that even means or how that response helps in deciding. The menu itself is pretty busy adding to the confusion. And some of the sandwiches seemed slightly redundant. And various options/upgrades that don’t make a whole difference for a sandwich. Cut the options out. Focus on fewer but higher quality ingredients. Keep it simple all around. And maybe they need a clearer menu.In terms of sandwich-the amount of turkey in the sandwich was minuscule and perhaps a bit old. The veggies seemed mushy/wilted. The whole sandwich seemed mushy. Flavor was just ok. I didn’t eat the second half but was still hungry. Just unacceptable especially for the price they are charging.Sandwiches here don’t come cheap, which I don’t mind if it doesn’t seem cheaply made. Also having an Italian sandwich option would be good. It’s probably among the most popular type of sandwich, so for a shop not to have one is an interesting choice. Retraining the employee would be another place to start as well.

The best sandwiches I've ever had!! It's in a convenience store, hence the low score for atmosphere.

Wonderful, helpful staff and the sandwich was great but the cleanliness needs some work. Gloves aren't worn when making the sandwiches, knifes and hands were rubbed on aprons. I had two black "hairs" in my sandwich. I think it was fuzz from the apron and not hair but still gross.

This place is disgusting. The sandwich was made so poorly, falling apart the entire time. The turkey was in chunks inside the sandwich, not evenly dispersed. The customer service was rude!! No one said a single word to us when we walked in and didn't offer any help or suggestions. This place is located inside a cluttered liquor store also, so just know there is no where to sit unless you go find somewhere outside. Most disappointing part was the food, absolutely disgusting. We will never be back.

Davey Jones Deli makes gourmet sandwiches, is available for catering and will prepare food for your events. They were always on time. As for ambiance, they are located in a little corner market that has everything you need to round out your meal.

This deli is a hidden gem. It's one of those places that defines what we love about living in the Bay Area, and one of the things I would most miss if I moved away. Their wraps are so good, they deserve their own name. Just check out the perfection of the ingredients in the Vulcan wrap. I'm not vegan, but it's my total fave!

Please do not come here for the sandwiches. My partner and I made a special detour in order to try this spot (the deli nestled inside the bait shop was touted as being creative, incredibly delicious, and worth even a "4th meal").The staff are not properly trained (efficiency, understanding/familiarity with menu, sanitation etc. - no gloves and frequent cross-contamination) and the amount of meat given is embarrassing. The turkey is not deli meat but rather chunks of actual meat -- which under the right circumstance, should theoretically be *better*, but because it's not stored properly and it's also aggressively dried under the oven -- absolutely inedible :(. Thankfully, the owner accepted responsibility and allowed me to return my uneaten sandwich for a refund. (I took a single bite and promptly spat it out - just to be clear I'm not making up my review and I did have a chance to taste the food.)Davey's is trying hard to be exciting and innovative, but they don't have the basics down, so the result is an overpriced disappointment. A Subway sandwich would literally taste better even though it's much simpler with more basic and "cheap" ingredients.I feel bad for them because they might be understaffed, but from observing them work, part of it also is not having a streamlined process in place. It's why corporations like Starbucks can churn out fifty drinks in 10 mins with almost no error, but their place struggles to keep five orders straight, with people sometimes running into each other, forgetting orders entirely, not knowing what has already been pre-prepared, etc.Better top-down training and storage of ingredients would easily solve these issues. Sometimes less is more, too - a sandwich can be amazing with simply meat, some veg, a pickle, and cheese. Not everything has to be hyped.
