On our trips to Wine Country from Upstate NY we always stopped at Mark's Gallery. One of the most delightful experiences I have ever had. Mark was a wealth of knowledge and accommodating and our purchases were always shipped safely and timely.

Friendly seller, we got two amazing prints. I can’t wait to frame them. Ample variety of different genres ranging from TV/film, sports, music, world history, and landscape.

I purchased a 16 x 20 Michael Jordan "The Last Shot" 20 years ago. It came with a Certificate of Authentication and a Mark Reuben Lifetime Guaranty Certificate. I decided that NOW was a great time to look into selling it. Totally by happenstance, the 83 year old man who's name and number was on the Certificate of Auth, he told me that it was a FAKE...TMLSS, I contacted Mark Reuben and he said "well you've been able to enjoy that beautiful piece for 20 years"...and then he said he had no money, he was going out of biz, just after telling me that he was open for drive-up pickups. The topper..."I'll give you $200 for it" he said.

I popped in here after a bicycle trip from SF to Sausilito on our Summer holiday. I love vintage photos and this shop had a great selection, especially sports. I live in Dublin so I was unsure if I could ship them home. The owner, I assume Mark Reuben, suggested I go to the post office just down the road. So I bought 3 photos and left my friends and family as I walked down the road. Not sure what his definition of 'just down the road is' but it was over 30 minutes walk, so I was gone for just under an hour as I got a Uber back. When the photos arrived I ordered frames for them but it was only when the frames arrived and I unpacked the photos that I saw how badly the gallery had mounted the boards. They were totally misaligned and not flush, which meant they were longer and wider than they were supposed to be and so didn't fit the frames. I wrote to the gallery and I got the most dismissive response, no sense of regret or apology for the poor workmanship (all three were the same so I doubt it was a one-off) and certainly no sense that any financial restitution would be appropriate. I would say avoid this shop or at best use it to browse for a cool photo and then buy it online! Everyone is going to make a mistake but it is how you respond to the mistake that makes or breaks a shop and Mark Reuben failed miserably.

Quaint shop that provides patrons a window to the past. I personally enjoyed the photographs of early 20th century authors and the pictures of "old" San Francisco. I would definitely go back because there are so much to see.

We were heading to catch a ferry back to San Francisco when a large, framed, black-and-white photograph in this gallery's window stopped me in my tracks. The dramatic image showed an earlier-era Cliff House in San Francisco perched on rocks with a black cloud overhead and a bolt of lightening brightening the sky. I went inside to determine what the cost would be unframed and to look around. I found a wonderful treasure trove of large, matted, black-and-white photos, originally captured years ago. There were entertainers, such as James Stewart (autographed); politicians, such as the young Kennedy brothers — Bobby, Ted and Jack — standing together; and evironmentalists Teddy Roosevelt and John Muir in Yosemite, taken in 1900. Sports figures ranged from boxing greats to track-and-field personalities. Other genres included history, landscapes, prohibition, women in history, the West and the list goes on and on. I especially liked the wonderful vintage photos of San Francisco and thought that all that I looked at were of high quality.I was greeted soon after entering the store and invited to look around. There was no pressure to buy. About five others wandered through the small area at the same time. Alas, I only could stay for about 10 minutes because of the ferry schedule. But I noted that photos can be mailed, and I can't get the Cliff House out of my mind.

Mark was extremely helpful with information not only about the pictures but also the history of the Bay Area. Lots of options for any decor, pricing extremely reasonable when you consider it is already matted and ready to frame.

Found this place while out exploring Sausalito. My coworker and I browsed through so many pictures while we were here... everything from early 1900's baseball to Nascar. Even found some authentic signed Babe Ruth baseballs! Definitely worth a visit.

I could spend an afternoon here. Everywhere you look you see matted /framed black and whites of Cities, movies, sports, and music. I was not alive when most of these photos were taken but this place makes me feel like it was there and a part of the history. $75 for one print 3 for $200. (Matted Photos)

How does one acquire all of these beautiful photographs? The clutter makes the shop all the more intriguing. It feels as though I have walked into a time-warp, though I am able to pick and choose what decade I want to explore. We need more galleries like this one; I could spend all day in here! Though I would LOVE to purchase some of these pieces of art, they are out of my price range :( Can't wait to come in again and discover what I missed!

Walking into Mark Reuben Gallery was like taking a step back in time. The variety and quality of photos were a great selection. Finding Christmas presents this year became easy for me. Having these photos to look through and buy for a great price was a treasure to find. I would recommend Mark Reuben Gallery to anyone looking for that perfect picture in history to hang in their home.
