I found dassell's through a neighbor. They are quick, professional, respectful, and a great price. We used to dread filling the propane tank, but now I have a bit of pride every time I see someone in the neighborhood getting a propane delivery knowing we've chosen the right company.

I have two houses, one using Dassel's (almost 20yrs) and one using AmeriGas. I am getting reacquainted with Dassel's since a tenant moved out of 2nd home and was nervous reading the reviews from last winter. I just called to get tank filled and the phone was picked up immediately, I had incredible service from a very nice gal and while they can't deliver until next week, it's okay as it's not an emergency to fill. I will add that our experience in our primary home last winter was horrific. All the negative experiences ppl had w/ Dassel's was the same for Amerigas. Just sharing my experience. I will be keeping Dassel's as my exp over the years has been far better than Amerigas. Maybe look into Mountain Propane? I hear they are great..

In a world of people upset about the poor service they receive from other local propane companies I have to give some praise to Dassel's. During the winter storms this year my generator was burning a ton of propane and I realized one day that our tank was about empty way ahead of schedule. I called the local office for a fill and they had it done the very next day despite how busy they were for that time. Well the generator continued to run and my carelessness to keep a watchful eye on it just prompted me to call last minute once again for a fill and they once again responded to my house in less than 24 hours. Dassel's quick service and friendliness has made me a customer for life considering I've had neighbors and friends that have other "services" who have spent weeks without propane despite repeated requests.

We've been rural Dassel's customers for many years. Six years ago they talked us into replacing our old propane tank with one of theirs (which only they can fill), but for the past few years their service has been awful. We need propane for heat, hot water, and our generator (when the power is out), but getting our tank refilled when we need it has become an ongoing stressfest. Despite many requests, they will not fill our tank regularly, and their lack of responsiveness has required us to periodically live without heating and, on occasion, to cancel scheduled visitors. Their employee:customer ratio is clearly too low, and their profit:customer service ratio clearly far too high. 2023 has been a challenging winter, but it has only exacerbated an existing issue with Dassel's. I like to support companies with local offices, but I think we're done. We've had only good interactions with the actual propane deliverers, but management is a different story.

Impossible to get a hold of. Always a busy signal when i call, when i do get through during business hours, it goes to an answer service. They leave a message with dassels and they DO NOT call back. They add fees and then refuse to fill your tank until you pay. They are over priced and slow.

If I could give this company zero stars I would. Everything about them sucks. Don't believe me, look at the other reviews. You will never reach them when you need them. Even their answering service sucks!

I've had complaints about delivery and pricing with them in the past, but they hit it out of the ballpark today with a short notice urgent delivery in the middle of the California Monsoon. PG&E has left us without power for much of the last 2 weeks so our Generator got way to much use. With a narrow 2 day window before the next weather onlslaught they got us a delivery. Thanks!!!!

I am a Realtor and needed a propane tank and gas delivered to a vacant house I am selling. Dassel's showed up on time, delivered the tank, and the technician, Teresa, went above and beyond to help me get the gas systems of the house working. I appreciate the extra effort. 5 stars.

These people will not even initiate any live discussion with a potential new customer unless the customer completes a lengthy on-line application. This includes a request for credit references. My credit is very good (> 800 on all 3 major services) and my relatively high income should’ve have been another indicator that I would be a dependable customer. However, to demand credit references before even initiating any dialogue is ridiculous. I don’t even know who I would even reach out to as a credit reference — my bank, maybe? My mortgage company? Anyway, too bad, Dassel’s, but you’ve lost this potential customer.

We have been Dassel customers for about 5 years. This morning we ran out of propane. For the first time. I guess there is always a first time for everything. Probably due to working from home. Anyways, i called them at 8am and by 11am Dassel truck was at our gates!!! Wow! They topped it off, checked for leaks and re-started the appliances. This is called taking care of your customers. I'm down to 13% propane. They used to check regularly so I've never been this low before. I've been calling for over one week as I watch my propane go down only to be told that they will deliver the next day. Hasn't happened! I've been told for over a week "next day"! Horrible customer service and totally unreliable. Been with them 20 years--don't understand what happened!

Very bad service. Don't use them if possible. Always have to call for emergency tank fills. Always have to hold for over 30 minutes to get anyone on the phone. Many days you just can't get anyone on the phone...

Well it looks like they just don't work during the winter. Here we are again in December and we are almost out of gas. They haven't delivered since July and can't get them on the phone. They were scheduled to deliver November 30 but we haven't had anything, and now we are almost out. Looks like we will have to change companies - but the alternatives don't look great either.
