Its the ONLY place to go if you cant take loud voices while trying to relax! She is good, the place is clean and relaxing. Of course she is always booked!! (I dont understand why people give less than 5 stars, because they cant get an appointment? Its because she is good!!!! The other places could learn a lot from her practice!Service: Manicure

Millie's salon and work are both outstanding. After my nail tech of over ten years retired, I tried most of the salons in Scotts Valley. Millie's salon strikes me as the brightest, cleanest, and best organized. Millie does nails as well as waxing. I have had both manicures and pedicures by her. Millie has the gel polish and regular polish separated into two different areas and they are organized by color. She has a lot of options in both gel and regular polish and it was easy to find a shade I wanted. Millie gives you a laminated price list that describes the basic manicure or pedicure and the "extras" you can add. She also lists the different scents of lotions and scrubs, so you can choose what you want. At my most recent visit, I had the basic pedicure with an added scrub and added nail art. Millie does a beautiful job with skin care on the hands and feet and with the polish. After my most recent pedicure, the skin on my legs and feet looked and felt very smooth. The cuticles were cleaned up perfectly. The polish was mirror smooth. Millie will also do some nail art. I like polka dots and she is very artistic varying the size of the dots. This is Millie's salon. She works by herself. What other Yelpers have said is true--this isn't a salon where you can walk in for a quick mani/pedi. What I can say is that it is well worth it to call her and make an appointment for four or five weeks from now (which is probably when she next has availability). If she doesn't answer, leave a message; she will call you back! Then, make an appointment for your next visit before you leave that first appointment. If you can plan ahead for your nail care, Millie is absolutely worth it. There is plenty of parking in the lot where Millie's is located. She only takes cash or check.

I can only write about trying to make an appointment or getting through on the phone. I left a message when trying to make an appointment and left a phone message and could make it in a month. I asked if she was taking new clients--she replied yes. On my appointment I had a difficult time finding it. Tried calling multiple times to find out how to get there--line busy. Finally I found it 15minutes later--the door is locked I knock and see someone inside continued knocking and the owner came to the door. I explained the situation she told me she had another client in 15 minutes and I should reschedule. Then she said I always call my clients the day before to remind them of their appointment--I said I never got a call and I checked my land line message center when I got home--no message. GOOD LUCK getting an appointment.

Millie is my go to for a quality mani and pedi. She always does a beautiful job and since she only sees one client at a time, I feel very safe going there. I highly recommend her.

Millie is a pro. It is true you need to book ahead as she works on her own, but the peace and quiet and relaxed atmosphere is the best ever, and there is always a relaxing nature show on the screen to bliss out with. She does an excellent job on both mani and pedi, and her prices are very fair, especially given the time and attention you receive in her very clean, very professional nail salon.

The shop is so clean and they do a great job, BUT they don't take walk-ins and it's very difficult to get an appointment. :-(

Nice salon and great quality, but she never has available appointments. She's the only one working in the shop. If she has a full roster of clients, she should stop advertising that she accepts walk-in's.

Clean and friendly but there are never any open appointments. I'm thinking a week in advance would be a good idea. Very frustrating that it's hard to get it.

Millie has a large selection of polishes to choose from and her technique is excellent! Currently it's a challenge to make appointments because Millie is the only one working in her shop she can not always answer the phone. You may or may not be able to leave a message because there isn't always an answering machine. Being the only provider she doesn't have much availability.
