Sea Ranch Golf Links offers a rare, authentic round on the rugged Sonoma Coast. Shaped by the wind, weather, and terrain, the links-style layout pays homage to the origins of golf, blending coastal beauty with challenging play. Designed by Robert Muir Graves and rooted in environmental stewardship, the course honors the natural contours of the land while providing a timeless golfing experience. The course features stunning views and a links-style layout beautifully integrated into the natural landscape, with rugged terrain, winds, and native grasses that challenge golfers of all levels. While some fairways can be narrow and the wind can play a significant factor, the breathtaking surroundings and well-maintained greens make it a memorable destination. However, the back nine fairways could use some attention to match the quality of the rest of the course. Overall, Sea Ranch Golf Links is perfect for those who appreciate a blend of nature and golf, providing a serene yet challenging round in a picturesque setting. The course has a lot of good holes, but some blind shots, and the conditions could be improved in certain areas. Despite its name, it is not a true links course, as it winds through trees and development, though the houses are not visible. It's a fun course worth playing if in the area, but may not be worth a long detour.
The course is playing great. The best I have seen it in the 12 years I’ve been playing here. The new owners are doing a great job. The greens are in the best shape ever.
