We have multiple dogs with multiple monthly insurance plans. Let me tell you, JASON came through with getting us in, in an emergency. We appreciate the Dr. that saw our dog along with Jason. He personally made us and our dog happy and healthy by his kindness. Employees like this are what companies should appreciate. The above and beyond is keeping us coming back. Big thank you!

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!They terrorized my little 8 lb. Chihuahua and claimed she bit one of the techs. My dog has never bitten anyone before, and was very nervous because they do not allow the owner to be there with the pet during the shots or other treatments. Then they claimed they had called animal control because my dog was not current on shots, then refused to give my dog the shots she was there to receive. They refused to let me know what happened that caused my dog to bite. They refused to give me my dogs medical history so I could move to a different vet. They refused to offer any explanation or advice on what happens after someone calls animal control on your dog.If anyone has had this happen to them before and know what the steps are, please contact me. The way they said "Animal control will have to decide what happens next" seemed very ominous, but they wouldn't explain any further.UPDATE:After about of month, I have only received one email from Banfield Corporate (who the people at Petco informed me I would be dealing with)... They told me people in the little stand at Petco had tried to reach me... I had no missed calls, no emails... These people are dishonest and untrustworthy. They still have not explained what happened with my dog, and don't seem to be willing to put any time or effort into doing so.

AVOID. I scheduled a first-time appointment with flea treatment for my 8 week old puppy. I used the complimentary first visit coupon and was told the appt was a drop-off and the cost would be approx. $15, which seemed reasonable for a single application without the visit charge. I was also told I would receive a call to pick up within 2-4 hours. By 4:30, no one had called so I headed to the clinic to pick my pup up before it closed at 5. To my surprise, he had not been treated for fleas. I suspect because I declined to enroll in the Banfield Wellness program, which tbh, the sales pitch feels like a hostage situation and it's TWICE the cost of competitor plans. Keeping my puppy without informing me he was ready for pickup and then having the audacity to charge for him "occupying space in the clinic" is a SCAM at worst and poor customer service at best! NEVER again.

Banfield pet Hospital of Seal Beach is like my extended family! They are always very busy and seeing a lot of animals especially since the pandemic but even though that is the case every time that I bring my little Shiloh in they are loving, caring, and give him the best care which I appreciate so much! Thank you Banfield of Seal Beach for all of your hard work and for always consistently trying to make a difference! ??

THE ABSOLUTE WORST!!!!!!I have an 8 pound chihuahua who is nervous. They have seen her before, and have a file on her. I was not given an option to stay with my dog during the visit, but figured they had seen her before and know her personality. Boy was I wrong!!!On my visit today they terrorized her to the point where she bit one of the techs all before performing any veterinary services. Then, they called Animal Control to report the bite. They then called me and lectured me on how I should have given them warning that my dog bites and informed me that "they didn't know how animal control was going to handle it". These people clearly do not know how to deal with nervous animals and are extremely unprofessional. My dog has never bitten anyone, and I can't imagine the terror they put her though to get her into a state where she bit the tech (if she did). Also, being in a PetSmart they very rarely staff the front counter. This is likely so they do not have to spend their day responding to questions about where things are located in the store, but if you have an appointment, you don't really expect to stand in front of an empty counter for 5-7 minutes wondering if they are still in business. This happened on both my drop-off and my pick-up.The kennels where they keep the animals locked up until they are being treated are fairly small, so I wouldn't take a large dog there, but they did seem well maintained. After calling to accuse me raising a biter, they informed me that they would not be treating my dog. This is fair, but they also refused to give me her prescription for flea medication (which she really needs this year), a copy of my dogs medical and shot history, and wouldn't even offer an explanation of what happened when their tech was bitten.I won't be going back, and will need to deal with corporate to get my dogs history.... I stongly recommend you avoid this place.P.S. if you have any idea what Animal Control does with complaints like this or who I need to get a hold of at Animal Control please post it in the replies.

People who complain about not being able to see a Vet when they walk up must not be familiar with medicine. I work at Banfield. Banfield is not an urgent care/ER and the staff is scheduled according to the scheduled appointments. Our priority are the pets that are under our care and we are happy to schedule an appointment on another day for any pet that needs one. Banfield has over 900 locations and many of them will see pets without having you dropping them off. I work at Orange Banfield and we are one of them. Give us a call - we are happy to help.

Took my dog to get a rabies vaccine today. Called in advance and was told it was going to be $30. Had an appointment for 8:45 and when the girl went to take my dog back for her shot she said "come back around noon." I then asked why I needed to leave my dog for 3 hours to get a simple shot and they then said that they could do it while I waited. When I went to check out they rang me up and it was $108. I was never told that I would be charged an office visit on the phone or when I brought my dog in. I paid and called a local veterinarian who told me that they charged $15 for the shot and $45 for an office visit. Never going back to this place. Not only are they double the price of a vet out in town but we also price matched a hand full of items that Petsmart sold against the new pet store in Belmont Shore and they were also double the price. Big corporations with the best pricing charge their customers twice the price of the mom and pop businesses?? No thanks!

Sent the requested info to Banfield and I still have not heard back from them. Not sure if their response was for show or they genuinely care about our experience.

Money hungry You never see the same vet 2x They're never open "due to Covid" but can charge your monthly pet plan like no one's business. Hmmmm. I'll find somewhere else to go and please don't respond on her with your basic message of "oh sorry Emil some random person on our care team" lame excuse

They helped at the end of the day but everybody here seems exhausted & worries me leaving my baby behind with them all burnt out, also brang in my sick pet & wasn't helped first like the sign says, instead I was cut & not backed up at all by the receptionist just to help some greedy big white lady pickup some meds for her dog which took longer than it should have. Annoying start with this Banfield, ill just head back to Signal Hill Banfield, the girls there always have a smile!
