My first time trying Reformer Pilates. I snagged the amazing 5 class deal on Groupon and haven't looked back since. They also provide new clients with a bomb first month package. I've taken Gabi, Marika, and Brenda'a beginner classes. They were equally challenging and enjoyable. They are patient to explain what movement we are doing and easy to follow along. I always look forward to class and leave feeling accomplished

Simply the Best!I have been going to Seal Beach Pilates for 5 years. I have tried other studios and workout facilities and I have to say nothing beats Pilates for an all body workout.Seal Beach Pilates studio is clean, easily accessible, and offers a great variety of classes and class times. The instructors are knowledgeable and keep the workout interesting and fun. Marika, the owner, is friendly and always inviting to newbies. She has created a very special place.If you want to try Pilates, this is the place.

My favorite pilates studio! Marika's reformer pilates classes are effective, fun, challenging, and fruitful for both body and mind. The blend of personal attention and group social enjoyment is great. Highly recommend!

The instructor's name is Marina and she has an amazing personality. It was my first time doing Pelates and I really enjoyed it. I recommend trying this at least once in your life, it really is an amazing type of exercise and the instructor will take care of you! Go now!

I discovered Pilates 4 years ago at Seal Beach Pilates and has been the 1st and only studio I've used. I have never had a reason to try other studios as Marika (the owner) is an amazing person and that carries forward to her business approach; so very concientious, supportive and kind. She has chosen her instructors very carefully takes the time to know everyone who steps inside her studio, this policy is also present in all the instructors, they take the time to know your particular needs. SBP has a variety of classes, all of the best equipment and the website makes scheduling your workout a breeze. Each class is small enough to have the feel of one-on-one. I cannot imagine my weekly work-out regiment without my time at Seal Beach Pilates. It has made all the difference and is so much better than an oversized congested gym.

I've been taking Pilates reformer classes here for four years and I love it. Of all the studios I've tried in So Cal, this is my favorite. Several types of classes are offered (e.g. private, semi-private, jumpboard). The cost per class is very affordable. You'll be hard pressed to find the same value anywhere else.Marika, the owner, is incredibly sweet. The inviting nature and decor of the studio are an extension of her warmth and charm. I've taken classes with every instructor and have always gotten a good work out. Brenda's classes are my favorite. She's so friendly and knowledgeable. What I really appreciate is that modifications are provided based on skill level and injury. The instructors make sure you have proper form and don't injure yourself. I've been dealing with one injury after another all these years (e.g. knees, wrist, hand) but am able to keep doing reformer classes without additional injury or pain. In fact, my physical and occupational therapist have said that Pilates has really helped me rehab faster. Don't have to tell me twice. I'll keep doing it.

My review for the way the business is run is a 1/5, but the instructors themselves 5/5. I bought a Groupon and I reserved a class online (which by the way is a website that is not user friendly). In order to do this, you have to great an account. At first, I was able to reserve a class without putting down my CC information. However, the second time it wouldn't bring me to the same screen, so I was forced to enter it. After entering it, I decided against it, and deleted my information, but what do I find out? That the website saved my credit card information and then used it to charge me a late fee for the 2nd class I did not show up for. I understand the studio has to reserve a spot for the person etc, but saving my information without my consent is unacceptable. They made it so difficult for Groupon users, so I definitely do not suggest this place. Also the owner was very rude when I emailed/called her and stated that the late fee policy was hidden away on the website. (Which btw you have to uncover by clicking thru AFTER you paid for the class IIRC). Then after showing up for my first class, I find out that Groupon has also DEDUCTED 2 classes from my voucher for 5. So they not only charged me $12 for a late class, they also deducted my class credit/voucher. DO NOT RECOMMEND. So many other pilates places that conduct their business much more ethically. Side note: the instructors are very nice and creative with their routines, to no credit of the owner.
