Worked with Salena (and her boss indirectly). It was a 2 hour drive for my family to see the car I was interested in. She had great communication throughout, was very kind to us and although of course she wanted a sale, she wasn't super pushy. Her and her boss were definitely trying to be fair and work with us on price/trade in. We ultimately did not buy a car there because I can't make up my mind but I still had a great experience and would recommend visiting them!

It was a good experience to purchase vehicle here. The sales-Nathan detail introduced the new even before we went there. The whole process is smooth and comfortable, I did trade in as well with a decent price.STRONG RECOMMEND!

Running a business is tough. For that reason, I've never written a bad review on a business, ever. Until now. Supply chain issues, chip shortages, more demand than supply, all of these things come into play when you are shopping for a BMW these days. And so when you finally find the car of your liking, you come to an agreement on the price, you cancel all of your other appointments with other dealerships, and plan to drive 100 miles to go pick up your car, you would expect the dealership to honor the deal made the night before. Not BMW of Monterey located at Seaside, California. Nope.Roughly 3 hours before my scheduled appointment to go sign the paperwork, I get a call from the dealership saying that there's another person coming in to see the car before my appointment. I was told that if "it works out for [this other customer], we can show you our other models in stock." They told me because they had not run a credit report on me, the "car was still available to other customers" despite the "deal" that had been struck. And two hours later, they called me to tell me the car was sold. Given the current environment, dealerships already have all the leverage. And BMW of Monterey has used that leverage to shark on its customers. I do not blame the sales associate that worked with me. It's clear to me that this type of predatory practice comes from the top. Just know, an email from this dealership that says "we've got ourselves a deal" means absolutely nothing. That deal that you think you made will just be used by them to leverage their negotiations with other customers. When you drive a BMW, you expect excellence. That's what the logo is supposed to stand for and is what you are paying for. But when you deal with BMW of Monterey, sadly, you get bad faith. No response from the dealership will change the fact that these guys used manipulative tactics on me, and I caution they will do so on you also. Buyer beware.

John Polli in sales is very excellent and professional. I felt respected throughout the whole process. He drove from Monterey and delivered my car to Sunnyvale. He also helped me with my financial services. I'm glad that I chose BMW Monterey and John for my first car!

I feel bad for the owners of this dealership. Recently I drove down from Gilroy specifically to check out an M850i I had seen they had in inventory. I got there, walked in, no greeting despite a few heads looking up and seeing us as we came in. We went over first to the color samples display off to the right as I wanted to show my wife some of the possible choices. Then we turned around and walked over to the car I came to see - it was parked in the showroom with jumper cables coming out the front - strange - but whatever. For the next 10 minutes (15 minutes now in the showroom), I checked out the car, sat in it, showed my wife a couple of things, she opened the passenger door. . . all the while various employees saw us, some standing, some in cubicles, caught our eyes, looked away back to their desks, etc.If there is a reason I rarely go into a dealership these days, this is it. Online AI could absolutely give me a better shopping experience if a premium car dealership like this CHOOSES to ignore a juicy lead like this they have paid so much $$$ to get to drive down and walk through the doors of their showroom. I was ready to buy. I walked out and drove home.If you want service, this is not the BMW dealership to go to - Stevens Creek BMW up North has an amazing staff - go there. As I said, I feel bad for the owner(s) of this dealership that employ a staff would let a ready-to-buy lead for a $100K+ car just walk in and out without any interaction whatsoever.

With so many dealership horror stories nowadays I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here at BMW Monterey. They speak to you with respect. I approached the sales team with an offer and very easily we were able to reach an agreement. Never did I feel pressured or forced into anything, even when speaking to the finance department. If you are looking for a new or used BMW. This is the place. Sales reps John & Bryan are top notch guys. Get these guys a raise.Don't waste your time anywhere else. Just come here.

I had my car in for service. When I pulled it out of the garage after I got it home, there was a large pool of fresh oil - see photo. When I took it back to the dealer, assuming it was a loose drain plug or filter, I was told that it wasn't their fault. They said the oil pan gasket went bad "all of a sudden". If I were to give them $3,377 they'd fix it! HA!!!!The service "manager", Rick, was beyond worthless, yet well trained in the art of fogging an argument. His only explanation was that "it's an old car". He completely and rudely disregarded my argument that "So, you're saying it is just an odd coincidence?".BEWARE. They will lie, scam and waaay over charge you. Stay away.

This review is directly to "Joseph Grant" I was contacting him via email all morning in regards of the 2015 fordFusion did my application, had my bank approval. My credit was ran for him to be so unprofessional and just email me in the afternoon letting me know the car was sold 20min ago. Why not be professional if you already have someone interested in the car why not follow up with them?

John Polli in sales, Jimmy in financing, Mike Kyle in service, have all been great. Great experiences so far with BMW of Monterey! Thanks!
