Ehh food looked good but was extremely salty! We got 3 different dishes and appetizers and everything was too salty. Meat, fish, mussels, and mushed potatoes all extremely salty. I like salty and spicy food however that was way too much. For the the price paid, I do not recommend it!

Went there expecting more like a diner, my misunderstanding perhaps. Odd interior with glassed-in interior section. Blinds were all down, preventing view to outside. We looked at $$$ menu, assessed the odd vibe and left. I could see it being ok if you wish a quieter, costly spot. Had a few tvs with sports on the wall. Overall: Not for me.

Dined here last minute after a long day chaperoning an FRC tournament.Things I loved:- they were able to quickly accommodate our party of 10 on a rainy Friday night.- when some in our party ended up not being able to come, they didn’t give us any gruff about it. We chose to shift our seats so they could break apart the big table into two smaller dining spots- good was fantastic!- started off with the sizzling mushrooms and the Brussels sprouts - it didn’t appear to be a ton of Brussels at first because they were in a single layer on a plate versus in a bowl, but it ended up being the perfect amount, and the sauce was fantastic. The sizzling mushrooms were amazing! Sorry, forgot to snag pics of those two dishes.- fish and chips were great! Tons of crispy, flaky but not dry fish atop a bed of the most interesting fries I’ve ever seen. Imagine a steak-fry-size flat potato “wedge” but curved on both ends reminding me of a flower petal. They were really great and not soggy or floppy at all! I can’t stand underdone fries.- multiple in my party had the gnocchi two ways and thought it was dynamite. They couldn’t decide if they liked the Gorgonzola or the marinara sauce better.- Beef stroganoff and the prawn risotto rounded out our meal. There wasn’t a crumb left- Bread pudding - absolutely incredible! I love bread pudding but everywhere I go people put raisins in it. Not here. A huge chunk that was perfectly cooked all the way through. There were no mushy parts and no dry parts. Definitely some of the best bread pudding had at a restaurant ever.- I definitely recommend going but between drinks, dinner and dessert I easily spent $80 on my dinner.- waitstaff was very friendlyThings I would change:- for the price point, I was expecting a slightly different atmosphere. It felt very much like a breakfast/lunch cafe that got super popular so they started doing really great dinner dishes as well. There were cloth napkins but maybe tablecloths could have changed the vibe a bit more.- our table was sitting out in the middle of the entire dining room, which I understand because we were a larger party, but I felt a little bit like I was in a fishbowl. However, I think it was partly my fault for not requesting something towards the wall. That is just a personal preference issue, though.- not a huge wine selection, options were fine but nothing spectacular and they were out of the only Chardonnay you could get by the 1/2 bottle.Dietary restrictions: Totally accommodated my crustacean allergy.

The service was great at Googie Grill and the service was wonderful. We brought our small dog and were able to sit on the heated, covered patio.Highly recommend the wings. Even the kids spaghetti was delicious.

Out of all the things anyone can complain about (not sure why it triggered me today)… for me, it was the microwaved food. The plates came out scorching hot. Don’t get me wrong; the food wasn’t that bad, but I expected something more “home-cooked” meal to it. ESPECIALLY since I was one of two customers in that big restaurant. To think they would cook the food, nope, “nuke it and give it to him already, we gotta chat,” also, I’m there for almost 25 mins and not once approached for a water refill.Granted I should’ve called them over at that point lol.Ok food, ok customer rep. But don’t think I’d come here again.P.S a side of (small-portioned) rice was 7 bucks. And I mean a VERY small portion. Shooketh!

Biscuits and gravy served with NO GRAVY. Biscuits were cold—actually cold, not room temp, but cold. Ham “steak” is a thick slice of sandwich meat, nowhere near standard “dinner cut” ham steak. No utensils provided. No cream/sugar for coffee even when requested. Paid thirty plus bucks for a meal I can’t eat unless I treat this like a pig trough. The milk was the only thing I can’t complain about. Have to stop typing now because I have to use my fingers to try and eat this wreck.

Our Holiday Inn Express Front Desk clerk recommended Googie Grill. We ordered Chicken Parmesan and it was delicious - best we’ve ever had and huge serving. The bread was awesome too. Don’t pass up this gem!
