I was having trouble with my car radio. I recently just changed the battery and the anti radio theft activated but unfortunately I had sun spot damage on my radios screen and I couldn’t see my code to reactivate it , so i contacted Val strough service and I talked to one of the employees named Ryan, he was a huge help and he helped fix the problem in under 20 minutes. Great service and I just wanted to shout out Ryan for being a good employee.

Get rid of the AI system for service. It promises to call you back and doesn’t. If you go back to a real person answering the phone I’ll change this to a 5 star review.

Absolutely amazing experience!!
My sister and I inherited two vehicles when our mom passed away suddenly, and decided to trade them in to go in together on a hybrid SUV. We were low-key dreading going through the car buying process because everything is still pretty emotional, and let's face it, car buying is rarely a stress-free experience...but everyone we dealt with at Val Strough were just incredible.
Our salesperson Tina was funny, knowledgeable, and THROUGH. She presented all our options and let all three of us, (my sister, husband, and me), really feel out the cars we were looking at. We barely had to look around at all, because she led us right to the vehicles that fit our specifications. She was excellent at cutting a deal, got us a good value for our trade-ins, and gave us what was *hands down* the most pleasant and low-pressure sales experience I've ever had.
Sales manager Jeremy went above and beyond totally of his own accord to spare us sales tax, (our honda will be living in Oregon). He set up a delivery driver to meet us across the state line on *our* schedule, handled all the paperwork, and all-around made sure we were taken care of completely. When we told him that we were depending on one of the trade-ins to haul stuff from our mom's to Goodwill, he provided us with a massive Subaru to use in the meantime, totally free of charge.
Bruce drove our new car to an Oregon notary, and delivered it to us fully detailed, with a full tank. Got everything signed off, and sent us on our way. The process couldn't have been smoother, and we LOVE our new Honda.
As if that weren't enough fantastic service, we accidentally left a painting that had belonged to my grandmother in the back of the borrowed Subaru, and Tina took the time to find it, and ship it to us. I can't say enough good things about this dealership. Thank you again and again for all your help and kindness. I wouldn't hesitate to drive to CA to buy a car from you folks, the next time we're looking to buy.

I’m writing to express my concern regarding the condition in which my vehicle was returned after recent maintenance work.
The first time I brought my car in, I noticed there was oil left underneath the vehicle. I chose not to make an issue of it at the time. However, I had to bring my car back again for additional service, and unfortunately, the problem repeated itself. Not only was there oil left underneath the car again, but I also discovered that the red paint had been scraped.
This is very frustrating and disappointing, as I expect professional care to be taken when servicing my vehicle. I would appreciate an explanation of how this occurred, and more importantly, what steps will be taken to address the damage and prevent similar issues in the future.
Please let me know how you plan to resolve this matter.

My daughter is a student at CSUMB and had an unexpected car problem. I made the initial contact with Val Strough Honda and then they dealt with her directly. They were very kind and explained everything to her, which eased her nerves. They were able to inspect the car and determine the problem (thankfully an easy fix) and made the repair in a timely way at a fair price! As an out of town mom, I truly appreciate how Salvador and everyone else communicated with her and helped her feel and BE safe in her car again!

John in the service department is a legend. I was vacationing in the area and noticed an issue with my Accord’s wheel. I brought it in to this Honda dealership and John took care of it quickly and at a fair price. I will definitely return if I need any service. Thanks John!

Parts department employee is never there,stand around for 20min,nothing.
Two grouchy old guys in the front of the service department seem put out any time you ask a question.
Don't answer phone calls.
Not sure how you can run a business like that🤷♂️

This review is for the service department, and specifically for David, the tech I interacted with. I had an excellent experience. I reached out for several quotes via text and got quick responses. Their prices were a couple hundred dollars cheaper than another Honda service center near me. Booking the appointment was easy through their online portal. I waited at the dealership and they had a nice waiting room with a latte machine (a big plus for a coffee lover like me).
They completed the repairs which resolved the safety system issues I had been having for months that other service centers were unable to fix. David even let me know that they went above and beyond to fix another issue, free of charge. Then I later realized that they filled our of our tires for free (one of our tires had a slow leak at the time), which is a small thing, but they didn’t even mention it. They also gave me a quote for new tires even though it was the end of the day.
As someone who constantly feels worn down by how expensive everything is and who has bad previous experience with getting my car serviced, they seriously restored my hopes a little bit! I will definitely take my car back here with any issues. Shout out to David and the service department, you guys rock!

Went in last Monday to look some civics, staff was welcoming and friendly. Roman did a well job of answering my questions and we eventually compromised and got a decent deal on a 2024 civic . Would say they do not have the best customer service post car purchase as I have been having trouble with getting in contact with them again to resolve a technical issue. I have called to ask for some assistance but they keep telling me they will me back but never do :/ .
