Veterans of Foreign Wars offers weekend food plates that are very popular and often sell out. The ribs fall off the bone and taste very good, while the fish fry is a solid value. Sides include standard but good potato salad and coleslaw, with excellent yams and amazing homemade peach cobbler. The collard greens and cornmeal on the fish provide a slice of home. The food receives high praise for its flavor, described as really good and worthy of five stars. The business is also thanked for its service.

Bartenders are volunteer and work on tips, but they seem to enjoy it and the people are so nice!
