We decided on this place for lunch, no reservation needed per yelp and website, wait time said to be 5 minutes. We were a party of 4, once we walked in we were told they were fully booked for the day, mind you that i Only saw two tables taken, however after speaking with the chef/owner, we convinced him that we wouldn't take more than 40 minutes to eat once the food was served and that we were exited to try some of their dishes, finally he agreed. We ordered several glasses of Jorden imported red wine and several dishes, the chicken kabobs were delicious, the lamb stew was also nice, the bean stew was very bland. It's not a big menu what you see on yelp is no longer there. I guess it's good that they don't over season the food, the fermented chilli sauce they provided did wonders to everything it touched! , we also got a mushroom dish that was hefty and delicious also Dungeness crab dumplings along with the other veggie dumplings. We were trying to rush because they were expecting several parties to arrive. The service slowed down after we got our food and as time passed we noticed other walk ins were getting seated with no hassles? Bigger parties than ours? I mean the owner came out to tell us we couldn't sit till we convinced him, so why was it that these other customers didn't get turned away as well? Anyhow after witnessing this I mentioned to our server that we were ready to pay so that we could clear the table, it was raining hard and still the place had several empty tables, this had me feeling some type of way, uneasy... Not the welcoming environment a good business would give. To be honest I've never experienced something like this. I'm glad I tried the food but the treatment in the beginning has me doubting to ever go back or to even recommend it to visitors in the area. Our server was friendly after he got to know us a little and so was the other young lady that was helping. One recommendation I can make is to please update the reservation status to: reservation only. No walk-ins, to prevent uncomfortable situations like mine.

Love this place! Great food and wine in a cozy, European rustic setting. Service is very friendly and on top of it.

Food was tasty, but very small for the price. And we unfortunately had the worst service I've had in a long time. We got seated right away as we had reservations and the restaurant was not full. We got menus and then we waited. And waited. And watched three tables that sat after us get their orders taken. Our server finally came over and asked us if we were "ready to rock and roll". After a confusing round of questions about wine and whether we needed more food we got our order put in. And then we waited. We watched every table around us get their food. People who came in after us. People who ordered after us. I finally called our server and pointed this out to him and he said, "our restaurant is packed tonight." But that he would check. Gentle reader the restaurant was busy but we counted 16 empty seats. Server came back and said our ticket was in last place but he had kindly put ours to the front. I said "but why is our ticket in last place?" We had at this point been there 45 minutes. He said "I don't know how the kitchen works." Our food came out after that, and it was so small. $6 for one flatbread. $15 for three dumplings. $16 for 5 bite sized pieces of eggplant. It was tasty enough but certainly not worth the wait or the price. Nobody came back to ask us if we wanted more wine. When I ordered another flatbread because ours had come before the meal and not with the meal the other server said okay but we make them to order and it will take a while. So, bad service, a long wait, tasty small food at crazy prices and an automatic 20% service charge. If someone had apologized or given us a free flatbread or something I'd be inclined to try again. But from start to finish they made us feel like it was either just bad luck or that we were being unreasonable. Not going back.

we just got home from Piala. we had 3 dishes that were recommended. lamb stew was tender as butter. dumplings have a savory filling. then a baked dish in a film type flaky crust filled with spinach and and a nice cheese. they also have a sauce to put on the food, tasty not hot. as this was our first time the gentleman explained each dish. the place is clean and welcoming. quiet pleasant music. we felt really welcomed.

This place was amazing, we were greeted right when we came in by the staff as well as some guests, it was such a warm feeling for us. We were a party of 6 for my daughter's birthday don't know how she found this place but I'm happy she did !! I don't know what to expect with the food though it might be bland but luckily I WAS WRONG, THE FOOD WAS SO GOOD everything the veggie plate is a must and, of course the dumplings , I'm not a wine drinker but had a glass of Rose ALSO AMAZING!!! I cannot wait to go back we are planning to church them out in the summer seems like it will be beautiful!! P.S we had 2 veggie plates, lamb stew ( it's not a head don't worry), beef n lamb kabobi, chicken n pomegranate Kabobs, wild Mushrooms dish, pork belly, masa n cheese cakes and, dumplings we took alot home.

EPICCCCCC. On all levels. The food is DELECTABLE. The ambiance is next level -- candle lit, fresh flowers, authentic Georgian vibe with great music every time. The guy who owns the place is basically the waiter & bar tender - very friendly and a clear foodie. Huge variety of specialized unique wines. The pistachio cake is my fave dessert of all time -- can't wait for it to come back on the menu. Otherwise, I can't pick what to recommend because it is all SO good.

Looked on Yelp and thought - eh ok, not many choices on the menu. Drove up and thought - eh, located in small strip mall. These are all red flags for my - I was actually blown away by this place. I love trying different regions cuisine and this puts a check mark on Georgia - located in the South Caucus region of Eastern Europe. Two weeks ago they did not take reservations so we got there a little early (PRO TIP: they now take reservations and you should make them). We were able to get a seat - really tight seating on the small tables against the wall, you will definitely be on the back of your neighbor. Cool homey interior with a Retail Wine Sales room. We started out with the small eggplant rolls - wow! Amazing! The flavors burst on your mouth - one of my favorite dishes. Next were the dumplings - wow amazing (PRO TIP: put some of the red sauce on the table on them - super good with a little kick). I tried the bean soup - a little flavorless but the dumplings are really good. Mushrooms were amazing. Both deserts are great. I definitely put this on my list to come back to - see you soon Piala!

TLDR; really good quality food, everything is consistently good.We came here for dinner (no reservations) because my aunt raves about this spot all the time. It’s a small place so expect seating to be tight and to bump chairs against other tables. The food was really really good. We ordered the chicken skewers, bean stew with cheese cakes, mushrooms, the kale dumplings, a plate of pickled vegetables and several flatbreads. The stew, skewers and dumplings really stand out - highly recommend getting these.

The kale and ricotta dumplings are exquisite! Don't pass them by. The melted cheese, greens, and herb pie as well as the masa cheese cakes are absolutely delicious.

We had dinner at Piala last night. It was a great experience. Nice looking place, with great, friendly, helpful and knowledgable service. The food and wine are Georgian and we knew nothing about it. Our server suggested a red wine that we enjoyed. We ordered 4 dishes ( and took home food). The pickled vegies went very well with the other food. There were plenty of vegetarian dishes for me too. We had dumplings, masa cheese cakes with bean stew, and the wild mushroom dish. All were very good to great. We will be back.
