Absolutely unacceptable quality of service: it was appalling overhearing Denver chew out my elderly father for asking too many questions.A few questions about models available was met with exasperation and standoffishness because it was a "low cost" item and the service rep had other things they'd rather be doing.Sebastopol deserves better than these guys.

I'll speak candidly about the poor experience I had with whom I believe is the shop owner. Following a purchase of rather expensive tubeless tires and paying the parts and labor for the tire swap on my Niner gravel, the tires failed to maintain pressure. This condition persisted for several weeks at which time I brought the bike back and was met with strong resistance over their decision to charge full price for parts (sealant) and labor to correct the problem. I was treated like a 'dumb customer' who didn't understand that tubeless tires may, or may not, maintain sealant and pressure. Yet, the DT Swiss wheel set is designed for tubeless tires and the previous tires never had a problem like that. After spending over $200 on tires and the install, the owner rudely pointed out "I have to make money somehow" as justification for charging me twice for what most experienced mechanics would only have to do once. He also suggested that it was my responsibility to watch the tires after installation, as though watching them has any bearing on whether or not they were mounted and sealed correctly. He seemed to have no regard for the fact I had spent close to $50 and then another $38 for installing a pair of constantly flat tires. The expectation isn't for you to guarantee your labor, it's that you stand behind it and at least try to offer the customer a reasonable solution - which you didn't. Good luck with your policy on that :(

Way overpriced and service isn't great. They charged me for something I didn't buy and it took 3 weeks of calling them to get it fixed (and I was given some attitude when it finally happened).

Awesome little bike/rental shop! The bike was $40, it was a hybrid, and it rode like a dream. Highly recommend going out to the coast through Russian river if you've got the legs for the ride, it was a lot of fun. Check their website for fun routes.

So - my friend and I left Sacramento early to do a training ride for the upcoming Gran Fondo- we drove to Occidental, and shortly after we got started, my gears started making clicking noises and shifted on their own. I tried to adjust my Di2 derailleur through the junction box and it was not working. Recalling similar symptoms during a Wine Country Century five or so years ago, I remembered having the hangar straightened at a rest stop during the ride. The mechanic told me he did not have the right tool with him, but could try doing it by eye - never had a problem again, and it was such a relief. So, back to the present day. The only bike shop open that was in the general area was Sebastopol Bike Center. I called the store and the person who answered said there was a mechanic on duty. So we drove there, and the gentleman in the shop put my bike on a stand and fixed it in three minutes! He walked out to the car with us and we are about to part ways, so I asked his name. "Denver," he said. I looked at him again - and remembered that he was the same guy who fixed my bike during the Wine Country Century. When I told him, he said he was thinking about that while he was fixing my bike, and immediately remembered it was me! Small freaking world! He's such a nice guy and does great work. If I lived closer, he'd be my regular mechanic. And, my friend and I were still able to get our entire training ride in! Thanks, Denver!

I've meant to review this wonderful shop for ages, feel guilty! Today was like so many other visits: had an urgent issue and they took me in immediately and sorted me out. Huge thanks to Gino who has helped me like this SO many times, as has Denver the owner. They are always so friendly and have never failed to solve my problem quickly & efficiently. I feel so lucky to have a skilled LBS near me, especially one that always shows so much compassion to riders who need repairs quickly. Please give them your business for parts and service, you will not be disappointed!

Lots of money spent on something I could do myself and no consent was given for the work. Also the issue I came with was still there when I got the bike back, but I got charged $100 for something I never asked him to do, and i could do myself.I want to support local businesses; this was very disappointing.

My wife and I went in here looking for shoes for her. They had a terrible selection, and the guy behind the counter wasn't friendly. He also appeared pretty clueless when we were asking him basic questions. I'm not sure if he genuinely doesn't know very much or if he just wasn't really wanting to help us. Either way, we won't be going back.

I was on a vacation recently in Northern California and wanted to spend time bike riding. This business was recommended and I now see why. Very friendly service, great pricing and I got a well-built bike. The shop is literally on one of the main bike trails in Sonoma Valley. They also give you a map of the other biking trails in the area.

We've had bikes repaired here over the past few years. Sometimes they were quite helpful, quick service, good prices. At least twice I've gone in for a repair and the person working there refused to talk about repairs, only new bike sales. Also, sometimes you can go in two consecutive days and get the opposite advice. It seems like a a great shop, but we won't go back.

Phenomenal service, 5/5 stars. My sons and myself have come into this establishment with our SE bikes several times for miscellaneous repairs. Prices are fair, service is helpful, friendly and efficient. Highly recommend.

I went in for two items that were definitely there in the store. It would have taken about 90 seconds to figure out what I needed, but instead he acted exasperated and tried to tell me that it would have been impossible to figure it out without bringing my bike in, which is untrue. I even had pictures, which would have solved everything instantly, but he wasn't interested in looking. He didn't want to help, he just wanted to charge me to do it, like I'm sure happens with all the rich folks and their fancy bikes around here. Its too bad, because I love small town bike shops and its a really cool spot. I have lived all over the country and try to give LBS's my business instead of buying online, but he seemingly did not want my money. I hope I just caught him on a bad day, because all I can say otherwise is "YIKES".EDIT: In response to the owner. The part I needed was a 0mm IS adapter instead of a 20mm IS adapter. A very common part that would have taken a modicum amount of effort to figure out. I guess that would have been "wasting time", despite the shop being completely empty. The brake pad I needed was just the standard, most common Shimano pad. The "vague description" I provided were photos of exactly what I needed. These things could have been figured out in moments but your didn't want to bother listening or looking at the photos. I get that people come in not knowing what they're talking about, this was not the case here. Everything was there to figure out what I needed except the effort from you. The only reason I thought the desire to charge more money was a factor is because I can not fathom any other reason why you would be so unhelpful.
