Friendly staff, great pharmacy and well stocked store. Our community needs our local Rite Aid.

What a great experience I had today. My med was ready and Penny found me a discount. She was so patient with me. I told her she was the best. Being sick and sounding like a witch and still she helped me. Best service ever!! Thank you Penny

Sherry at this pharmacy is the most unhelpful and unkind person I’ve ever met. She doesn’t care about anyone or any struggles. The pharmacy NEVER has prescriptions ready. The pharmacist doesn’t care and none of them take their jobs at all seriously. I will never recommend anyone here. We are transferring.

This pharmacy is probably the worst. They’ll say your prescription is ready and then you show up not even 40 minutes later to pick up, wait in their abnormally long lines (drive thru is permanently closed) and then they tell you your prescription isn’t ready.

Probably the worst pharmacy experience, not just once, not even twice, but almost always. And I live out here, so that's saying something in terms of how often we have to use this place. I was actually denied my medication by the pharmacist because he didn't agree with the medications together, even though they were written by THE SAME DOCTOR, the same day. I understand some medications can be harmful when taken with certain others and getting medications from different doctors makes this a real issue, but this wasn't the case. He thought it was overkill. He is not a doctor and needs to stop acting like one. Thankfully, my doctor called and told him I needed them, and wasn't very nice about it (probably didn't like being questioned by a pharmacist lol) but guess what that did? Made them magically "run out" of the medications I was just being counseled on (he had both of them in his hand before the phone call!) I had a similar experience a few months back. One of the pharmacist assistants was being extremely rude, so I gave her the same respect. About 5 minutes after our little verbal "dust-up" she flung open the side door and rudely scoffed "we don't have your medications" and slammed the door. Myself and two other customers who were waiting started laughing in disbelief and then we all heard the assistant call out "****** from back behind the counter. Sadly, the pharmacy isn't my only issue. Now the store itself has taken a hard hit when it comes to stock. I'm not sure if it's bad ordering, or bad drivers/workers, but items just aren't on the shelves. The feminine hygiene area is almost always empty. As were most of the diapers (baby's lol). Toilet paper and paper towels were hardly stocked as well, and I understood during the Pandemic, but it's 2023... No excuses now. A couple of the front store staff are wonderful. Over-worked, but helpful. But most of the workers simply don't care. We stood in a line of about 12 people with one girl working two registers while calling for someone to come help; a younger male casually strolled up, *on his phone texting*, and took his time opening a third line. He checked out 1 to her 4, because he was still texting while we waited. The group of people I was in line with were baffled. When I was working retail, man, I would have gotten chewed out by my boss! But where was his? Food for thought (especially after reading all the reviews, which are almost all 1 star); Start fresh at this store. Managemant included. This store is a disgrace to the Rite Aid brand, with the exception of the 1-3 good employees. this store rates a 0 on many locals lists. Bad training breeds bad workers, so it needs to be ripped out - root and stem. There are so many people looking for work right now, and much of them would probably work better and harder than what's been displayed at this location. When you take your job for granted, the store suffers. Get your s*** together Corporate. This store needs your attention

Divan who works in the pharmacy is not only completely uncaring but gives inaccurate information. When I told him I was switching pharmacies because he told me my other prescription would be ready in 20 minutes which wasn’t true, didn’t even have it in stock. I said I was switching pharmacies because this wasn’t okay to give inaccurate information he sneered and replied “go for it” complete j**** One of the WORST customer services ever. I’d have fired him right then if I could have. Ridiculous. Walgreens on lake is much better and prescriptions can be feivered to your home. Rite aid in Shasta Lake is trash.

Awful, awful store. Drive thru has been closed for MONTHS even when there’s five or six people behind the counter in the pharmacy. Prescriptions take FOREVER to get filled. This place is a serious joke. They do not care about customers. Other Rite aids keep their drive thrus open with less associates than this one always has!! But I guess that’s too much to ask for, so let’s slap a sign on the window and ignore people who can’t easily come inside. Ridiculous.

Avoid at all cost. RX takes days to fill which is totally unacceptable. When ever this one gets filled it will be my last with them.

Oh my goodness the pharmacy is so bad. I wouldn't go unless you plan on getting your patience tested and you wanna get ticked off. I went for drive thru COVID test, got there a few minutes before my scheduled time and gave them my confirmation number and email. Waited in my vehicle for 30 minutes just to have the rotund woman tell me to go home and call a 1-800 number. After reading all the bad reviews waiting in my vehicle I really realized I made a bad choice coming here. Told the rotund lady I don't want the phone number and their pharmacy really sucks. Rotund lady calls me an A#$ hole and I go back home after wasting an hour of my life. So just don't go here it's as bad as everyone says it's kinda sad and hard to watch. Something is really wrong here don't do it lol.

The staff is extremely rude. I have to call in my prescriptions more than one time before they fill them. When I ask why they tell me I can go somewhere else.

This is my pharmacy, I switched to Rite Aid when CVS took over Owens (I loved them) Candace is the best individual pharmacist I have had! She is knowledgeable, fast and friendly. Always courteous and helps in any way she can.The pharmacy itself is WAY UNDER STAFFED !! I find myself taking on what I can do on my end with my refills and doctor communication to try to take some of the burden off the staff. But I don't mind and I do that on my own.

In the 8 years I have lived in Shasta Lake not once have they had my prescription ready when I've gone to pick it up. It should not take days and days and multiple calls to the Dr's office to get my medications. I'll go to Walgreens from now on. Rude little j*** at the counter too.
