Went to deposit a cashiers check and they told me they were going to send it to collection for 4-6 weeks before it would hit my account. I went to another BMO and they got it in for me after two business days. Don’t go to this bank if you want an easy experience, they’re so extra for what?

Absolutely the worst online bank and most inefficient people in the banking industry. My husband died and had two CDs with BMO. I have been trying for three weeks to secure the funds. Let me clarify that, three weeks since I submitted the required documentation. I was told that I’d be called back twice now and have never received a phone call. I had to follow up personally with another phone call. The first phone representative told me that everything was in order. And that they could send a check to me, but that would take three weeks. I said can you transfer the money to my bank? He said that’s a different department. I’ll have them call you. A week and one day past and no one called. I called them Today and they have no record of any of my documentation and no supervisor available to speak to. I was told that the only option is they will call me back. The worst Customer Service, and the worst Bank. I am actively telling everyone I know not to bank with BMO.

Very helpful but short staffed. I was a little distracted by excessive religious jewelry but they got the job handled. They were efficient and friendly

Zero stars if I really could. Had a car loan with bank of the west. Bought out by BMO. The loan was for my husbands car and despite me adding him as an authorized user multiple times per phone request, email and letter sent, they never ever allowed him to call or request info or make a payment. Cannot Zelle money. All money sent in for the loan had to be wired or direct deposit. Very inconvenient. I always had to three way to intervene and allow payment. They declined his last payment because it wasn't me then it was late a few days and they were QUICK to report to credit bureau. I decided to simply pay off the loan because we preferred not to deal with this bank anymore. We were never given a pay off or zero balance statement. I'm in the middle of the home buying process and my loan won't get approved because BMO won't offer proof that I paid off the loan. Credit bureau already shows account as closed, DMV released them as the lien holder but BMO customer service states proof can be mailed in 9 days or faxed in 4 days. Email not an option despite extensive ID verification. I physically went to the branch to request the pay off. I was informed the loans are not managed at the branch level and that the request needs to be through corporate customer service. So I'm the middle of a short escrow, BMO cannot provide simple customer service to a paying customer. Would not recommend this bank for anything.

Worst bank ever. Charged me fees for money THEY lost due to fraud, which I was never reimbursed for after pursuing it several times. Held my money during an external transfer for multiple days and lied to me several times. Never coming back.

Worst service ever!Elvis or what ever her name is there just for a pay check. She doesn’t do anything and every time I come here she’s unable to do anything that is asked of her, yet other branches are able to get the job done. Elmos was a Very disgusting character. Never coming back to this branch!!!

The banking equivalent of a convenience store. Very Slow service and they hire people with minimal banking knowledge ( one staff there doesn't know the difference between a letter of credit and a line or credit ). Pathetic bank.

Bank of the West 15165 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks Branch racial profile me today because I’m a black man and I receive a business loan. I went there to get a cashiers check for my landlord. I was told to comeback in the morning because the money was not cleared yet. It felt odd, because I checked my account before I got to the bank and everything was cleared. I was later told that they will be closing my account, just because I walked into there bank and needed a cashier check I was wrongfully profiled because of the color of my skin. When is this gonna end.

I don't know too much about this branch, it's fairly slow, but I'm writing this to inform you that they racially profiled me (a former bank employee) when they saw I had two large checks. Manager (Cheryl) accused me of bringing in fraudulent checks , and said they were faulty. Mind you they were settlement checks that have been negotiated at bank of the west before and they didn't check to see that. They told me they will take it for collections and will put it on hold for 2 weeks or longer because my checks looked "faulty." I guess a young black man bringing in two large checks set off a red flag in there heads. After I decided to take it to my other bank and leave , one of my former co workers calls me and tells me my account has a fraud alert on there. So not only did they decide to call my checks faulty, she decided to put a fraud alert on my account which disabled me from viewing my accounts. I see why some people aren't too fond of banks. After going back into the branch and showing them my settlement paperwork, which I shouldn't even have to do , they took the fraud alert off. Keep your money in the mattress !!! They act like they are the gatekeepers for your money. Judge jury and executioner. Pathetic!
