Let me start off by saying it is my birthday and I thought I would have a great day. So as usual I go to comerica bank to cash my work checks every two weeks. I usually go to the Glendale location , but today I went to the Sherman Oaks location. I don't have to go into detail about why I don't get direct deposit or any other questions. It is my personal choice to walk into the bank and receive funds I have worked hard for. So today I walk into the bank. I tell the teller I don't have a account but I am in the system. I always come cash checks. The first thing she says to me is I have never seen you before. I'm like ok. So I hand her my 4,000.00 check to cash. She examines it and my Id. She then ask me do you work here? I'm like no they are just giving away free money on Fridays. she then said I'll be back she takes the check and goes to the back. She then comes back and says I don't think I can cash this. I said I have never had a problem cashing a check in Glendale. She then says to me then why didn't you go to Glendale to cash it? I'm like ok wait a minute what is the problem here. She is treating me bad I mean she was mean and cold. I told her I am a nurse and I can't believe she is treating me like a criminal. The manager walked over and I told her how she was questioning me like I am some sort of criminal. The manager said she needs more coaching. More coaching? You have an employee that is discriminatory for no reason at all. So she cashes the check and pretty much throws the cash at me without counting it. The manager walks over and counts the funds for me. Then she has the nerve to ask me if I would like to open-an account with them. I mean like what!?. My experience today was aweful and embarrassing . To treat a customer like they are a crook and to question them the way she does was so bad. Like a black woman can't make 4,000.00. It's very disgusting. The employees need to be taught kindness. Like saying happy birthday. Not your a thief and your trying to steal money and use a fake check. I bet if I was treating her family member in the ER and saving their life. She would act differently. People always do. Moral to the story if your black be prepared to be questioned and insulted by the staff. They think we are all criminals.

Beyond inept and rude. We have been attempting to resolve an issue for several weeks and after several calls and emails, there was no response. We finally reached a "supervisor" Kim Saroyan, who was unwilling to accept responsibility for the inadequate customer service. Follow ups were sent to Ariel prior to this with no response. After expressing a great deal of frustration with the tone and deflection regarding the poor service, Kim Saroyan said to me "You need to take anger management courses". I terminated the call, and we will be terminating our relationship with this institution. I will send a copy of this review to Comerica's corporate department. Kim Saroyan told me that the call was recorded. I hope Comerica will listen to the recording to get a sense of how Kim treats your customers.

It is unfortunate the government has chosen this bank to represent and disburse the child support funds. A card was sent to me prior to attachment of my direct deposit. In order to not be charged a fee I had to go to the actual bank. I went to this Sherman Oaks location at the Galleria thinking I could just grab the ATM. Now with the pandemic and many stores closed I parked near the office buildings because I believe the bank to be somewhere in one of them. Nothing is really clearly marked regarding the bank. So I had to take a Freight elevator up to the 2nd floor and regular elevator down to the 1st floor to hit the plaza because the bank was in the other build. I walked to the building got into the bank I had only brought my ATM card. Gabby the teller informed unfortunately there was no ATM and she would have to have my ID tomake the transaction. Since the bank was closing fairly soon I opted to get the address to the studio city branch that had in ATM. This was closer to my credit Union Bank First Entertainment Which I might add is truly amazing their customer service's fantastic their gracious polite and respectful to their customers. I asked Gabby for a validation which she gave me and moved on to the next person after giving me the information of the location of the studio city bank. As I attempted to exit the parking structure the validation did not cover my short visit I ask the attendant for assistance. Where I was told there was a 15 minutes allowance on the validation ticket which was not enough. And I had to go back to the bank to get more validation. Since I was going all the way back to the bank I grabbed my purse with me ID and returned letting Gabby know there wasn't enough validation. Did I get an apology ... nope. What I got was an admonishment that they don't even normally validate especially to non customers, and all I am thinking is the nerve she had to cover her mistake by trying to make me feel bad and wait a minute ... I am a customer! I have an ATM account that manages the child support, ? I didn't choose this bank and by the way never will ... Because of the rude, and arrogant customer service ... but she chose to treat me differently because she didn't think I was a customer or \\\"Banking member\\\". I would say or hope Gabby was a poor representation of Comerica's actual bank standards. I took my cash greatful to never have to return. I bank with 3 different Credit Unions between personal and Business. Gabby doesn't know me well enough to assume something judge or treat me as she did. I can not recommend this Banking institution. From the looks of other reviews I stand in company of other who have been treated the same.

Don't look at the old reviews on this branch they have new personnel there that are FANTASTIC! Art, the Manager and Gayane, a Personal Banker helped me today and they were great in getting my wires out in a timely fashion. They were very knowledgeable and FRIENDLY in what they were doing and gave me the level of customer service that I have come to expect from Coamerica. They are my new go to branch for sure. Great job guys!!!

I had the pleasure of working with Ms. Gayane Tutyan on a loan. I usually don't review anything outside of food places but I believe she deserves the positive feedback based on the reviews I'm readying about this bank. She was very helpful and explained everything to me in great detail, which helped me understand all the terms and conditions of my loan. Definitely go see her when your in there.

I love this bank, don't know what other peoples problems are but I've been with them for about 10 yrs and have never had a problem other than their poor interest rate. Maria, the bank mgr and the tellers are outstanding, couldn't ask for much better

If I could give them no stars, that is just what I would do. I've never been so pestered, bothered, annoyed, discriminated against and handled with by the manager as a client who has separate rules from the rest of the customers. The manager went out of her way to make sure I deposit and take out or cash checks and etc. only from their location. The reason I would go to Studio City's location is because I hated the manager at the Sherman Oaks location so much. She drove me crazy, would call me every morning, would try to make me meet with an investment advisor (I have a CFA, Series 7, 62-64 and once owned an asset allocation business with 244 employees for many years). I do not usually brag like that, but after telling her no thank you so many times, I finally told her my reasoning. She was pushy to say the least and demanded control and supervision over all my funds. She began to not allow me to "bank" when she was not present or took a day off. That is when things got crazy and she threatened that I need to bring my investment account with Citigold, Wells Fargo, TD, Merrill Lynch and Fidelity all over to Comerica where they have terrible commission fees.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! Only one clerk at the front desk. Two in the back. A forth come in and started talking to everyone. The one of the clerks in the back told me to have a seat and wait at the desk. Waited 5 minutes.... and then heard her answer a phone call. While the girl at the front was helping someone else that came in after me. First, you should never make a customer wait. If you tell them to have a seat do not answer your phone. You can always call them back. What happened to customer service. It's really disappointing. All these employees need retraining on customer service and what comes first, the person in your business or the person on the phone. Shame.
