Very friendly employees, and if you're ready to pay top dollar for your furry friends, this place may be worth it. It's the gold standard in terms of pricing, get out your credit card and get ready for a huge bill, because they are very into billing you excessively.

I've always loved the pet doctors. They treated my late pup Darla, and were so loving and caring. I have a puppy now 7 years later and I knew I wanted the pet doctors to be her vet. Unfortunately my sweet pup broke her paw a month ago. The pet doctors have been so attentive and helpful during her visits. My puppy (wini) is always so excited to go to the vet despite the circumstances. She gets so happy when we walk in. All of the techs are so loving and sweet with her and with the care of the pet doctors Wini is on such a great healing journey. I can't express my gratitude enough. Yesterday we were in there and I was told that everyone was cheering for Wini while she was walking in her new cast. I almost cried. The pet doctors love my dog (almost) as much as I do. This will be our primary vet forever

They were super accommodating with all our needs getting Koa ready to travel back to Hawaii and I would definitely refer them to anyone needing to travel

Make no mistake. This clinic values business over the health of your pet. Period. I have been coming here for years but no more. Look elsewhere if you want actual care for your beloved pet.

I think pet dr's is a good straightforward vet. for vaccinations and general check ups. anything that requires more I see spec. now. bc it was a waste if visits tryung to get stuff treated and would never get solved. but I thank them for recommending mash. the best specialty place. together they are a great team.

I have been bringing my pup here for a couple years now! And absolutely no complaints! I love the staff and all the vets are nice friendly.

I see a high rating, but I haven't had the best experience with Dr. Cox. In my personal experience, I find she makes medical decisions without understanding her patient's disposition or ability to handle stress and doesn't rely on the owner for that either. I feel disappointed.

I love that I take Marley (dog) to his yearly visits and they treat him so good although he is a scaredy-cat when I take him for his visits.

I’m saddened to post this bad review, but this facility is only good if your pets are healthy. If there are issues, then it’s a completely different experience. Our cat’s care was grossly mismanaged by the vet team, and we have lost all trust with them. They get two stars only because of their caring and friendly front desk staff and vet techs. I’ll miss them, but nothing else.

Make sure to ask for an estimate before they do everything. The rates are, frankly, insane and they do not explain this until after the checkup is completed. That being said, the service is pretty good.

We've been bringing our pets here for years and don't trust anyone as much as Dr. Cox. She is always thorough , patient and very knowledgeable. Our dog Charli loves her! The staff is also great!

They have some very good doctors there but the Pet Doctors of Sherman Oaks can't help you with any immediate problems as they have way too many clients. I've been with them for 25 years, probably longer than most of their clients. I called today because my dog had an unexplained injury that was bleeding. It wasn't awful but I was hoping to have someone just look at it. I called first thing in the morning but there were no appointments left (this is after I waited on the phone to speak to someone for several minutes). But why? They're my vet and have been. I love Dr. Szanto and Dr. Cox but sadly this great vet has grown too big and too expensive. And if you have any kind of emergency, forget it, they'll tell you that they have no appointments that day and send you to the Animal Emergency Center on Ventura. Sadly, I must now start looking for new vets.

i got a recommendation to come here from a good friend of mine after getting my puppy. ironically that friend no longer goes here primarily because of the same issues but i needed a vet to see him within 48 hours and they were the only ones availabl. it took me 24 hours to get a hold of someone. i was placed on hold for 30 mins total the first day. Actually each time i call im placed on hold immediately. I finally got an appointment and my pup and he ended up needing meds. I was told to come in immediately to get them that same day and they re closed for lunch. Definitely information they should have given me on the phone with them since I am a new patient and your telling me how urgent it is to get his meds. To get there after rearranging my schedule to find out they re closed was the iving on the cake of the poor experience Ive had

I have been taking my dogs to this vet for about 20 years. I have tried a few other vets over the years, (when a few of my favorite vets left) but ultimately always come back to this vet hospital. You can't beat the kindness or care that is given. The front desk/office, as well as the techs have all been amazing, caring and supportive. When surgery has been needed on a few of my pets, I have trusted them implicitly ....and if they felt that the issue was too complicated, they referred me out, as they have done with my husky-recently. The referrals have been amazing, and not once have I needed to question the choices/recommendations. Dr. Cox, Dr. Nellitt and Dr. Szanto are my go to doctors, and have been for many years. Having big dogs with a variety of health issues, they have been extraordiary in their care, suggestions, and directions. When we had to put our 15 1/2 year old lab to sleep last summer, the love and compassion and care shown by Dr. Achenbach, was amazingly comforting during that tough time .

Went here 3 times and don't plan to come back once my pets stitches are taken out. Each time my bill was unreasonably higher then expected. Two visits for allergy's with $600+ to figure out the issue, when a simple allergy shot would have helped. Communication is terrible and they preformed surgery without verifying the issue. So now my baby is in pain and went through a 620$ "foxtail removal" for no reason. They told me we didn't find anything.. what?!? No thank you.
