Jeff (the owner) is a great guy. May take him a while to get to your vehicle because he's so busy, but he always does quality work. Its hard to find trustworthy mechanics, I would never take my vehicles anywhere else

We have been a long time customer of Jeff at Paramount Motorworks. They are simply the best mechanic shop in the area. However I'm saddened to leave this review. We brought our Subaru Forester in the shop in December (yes December 2021) and we have not heard from anyone at the shop since late January. An estimate was never given, and as far as we know, repairs haven't been made. The shop appears closed now, with our car in it. We have sent many emails and called many times over the past 2 months, and visited the shop multiple times during working hours, but it has been closed every time. All we can think is that something terrible must have happened, and for that we are sorry. We've made every effort and have been patient. But we still need our car. We don't know where to turn for help. The El Dorado County Sheriff says this is a civil matter. The Bureau of Automotive repair says that since nothing has been repaired (that we know of) then we don't really have a complaint. Our only option is to hire an attorney, and sue the business for breach of contract and for the return of our car, and as you can imagine, this is expensive. If anyone reads this and can help us get our car back, please let us know. We can actually see our car parked in the back of the shop, behind the locked gates.

We have been taking our fleet of work trucks/vans and our personal vehicles to Jeff for several years (8-10+ ). He is VERY knowledgeable and his price is good. The funny thing is the different dealers he used to work at will actually recommend you taking your vehicle to Jeff when they can not figure out the source of a vehicle problem ( even when your vehicle is under warranty). I highly recommend! Having a good mechanic ( and a HVAC) company you trust is the utmost importance. ?Services: Battery

If given a choice, I would never take my car anywhere else. For the past ten years, Jeff from Paramount Motorworks has kept mine and my family's vehicles in safe and working order. Never has there ever been a mishap, an overcharge, or a miscommunication. 15/10 would recommend to anyone looking for an honest, informed, and quality mechanic.Services: Engine repair

Had to replace exhaust manifolds and fix an oil pan leak. Jeff was responsive, reasonable, and ultimately repaired my vehicle per his commitment. He even worked on the weekend to get me the car on time.

Jeff Peters is responsive, reasonable, and honest. I had a pretty major repair (exhaust manifolds, oil pan leak, air conditioning charge) and he diagnosed everything correctly and was transparent for labor and parts. He showed me my failed manifolds as well. He is someone that you can trust if you don't know too much about cars.

I took my car there because the A/C wasn't working. The owner diagnosed the problem in 5 minutes and gave me a reasonable estimate. I was able to get my car fixed within 3 days. Jeff was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly during the whole experience. He even had my car washed, detailed, including the engine and added window washing fluid. He went way beyond my expectations and I recommend him to anyone with a vehicle problem.

Jeff is the man. Always does a great job for a fair price with a quick turn around. Taken a vehicle to him 5 or 6 times now for various work/maintenance and I have been extremely pleased every time.
