We bought our 2021 Subaru Forester Limited from Shingle Springs Subaru in February 2024 even though there are other Subaru dealers closer to where we live in Roseville. We are completely satisfied with the experience and with the way Tim and Jeff handled the whole transaction. All our questions were answered and we will definitely be visiting them again when we need another car. Omar handled the finance end of the transaction and we are also extremely satisfied with the way he walked us through finalizing the purchase. We can't say enough good things about Shingle Springs Subaru. If they are a little further away from you I can tell you they are definitely worth the trip! Update about Service Department 3/26/24: We bought some window deflectors online from Shingle Springs Subaru and I included a note that we were going to schedule a service appointment to have them installed. I scheduled a service appointment online for 9:00 AM today to have them install the window deflectors and included a note their parts department had them on order. They were done and we were on our way by 10:15 AM. Mike, the service advisor was super friendly and helpful and made the visit overall a successful visit. We are very happy with their sales and service and will be bringing our car there for service from now on!

I purchased a 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness from Shingle Springs Subaru a couple of weeks ago, and I am very pleased with this dealership. I decided to "upgrade" my 1993 Ford Explorer (that's all I've driving since 1997, I'm on my second one). I wanted a smaller vehicle, better mileage, that I could still go on the Forest Service, National Park and BLM roads I take the Explorer on. The 2024 Subaru Forester Wilderness version - geared more for off-road - was a good fit. The buying process from Shingle Springs Subaru was a surprisingly easy experience. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, easy going (not pushy or high pressure). I started the process via their Internet Sales person, got a price, drove there and they honored it without lots of upsell attempts. Before you leave with your new car, one of their staff goes through EVERYTHING the car does, so they know you understand your new car before you leave. They followed up shortly after the sale to find out how I was doing with my new Subaru and if I had any questions. And two weeks after the sale, their "vehicle specialist" contacted me to find out if I had any questions about any aspects of my new car. Great customer service!. Oh, and no added security system upsell - the stock Subaru security system is great.

I'm a bit disappointed in old boy Ernest and his inability to effectively communicate with customers. I was in the market to sell my Outback and I went through all the headaches of getting dealers to provide appraisals, and I was working with Ernest on this sale. Dude is a hot mess, but that's okay. Interpersonal communication is clearly not his strong suit. But, okay. He does an appraisal of my car and says "I don't mean to be disrespectful BUT your car is beat to hell. My manager is not interested." I'm not sensitive anymore, so I just shook his hand and walked away. Six different dealers did the same appraisal and not a single one felt the need to be a jerk-off. But, old boy Ernest doesn't have manners and he's unable to use his melon to think long-term. Allow me, sir. A 2021 study confirms that 72% of Subaru owners buy another Subaru for their family. Buying used cars doesn't seem to be all that sexy, but it's a means to an end. You buy my used car, simply so I come to you when I am in the market to buy again. It's simple math, but Ernest seems to have trouble in this area too! The 2 stars are for the service department. I had two relatively uneventful experiences with the service team, but Ernest just confirmed that I will go elsewhere for my next Subaru purchase. All in all, I am happy that I was patient and I got a great price from Carvana. They understand how to interact with customers.

In the past 5 years, I've made multiple purchases from Shingle Springs Subaru, including an STI, Outback XT, and an Accent. Throughout these transactions, everything went smoothly. Trevor, the salesman who assisted me, was exceptional. He possessed extensive knowledge about the cars and inventory, and he never pressured me into making a decision. Trevor was always willing to go the extra mile to ensure my satisfaction. Although I had one negative experience with the dealership, it was a minor miscommunication on the maintenance department's part. I went in for an oil change and opted to wait for it. However, they unintentionally left me waiting in the waiting room for 3 hours without starting the work. Once they realized their mistake, they promptly began the work and discovered an issue with the oil pan gasket. Despite not having the necessary part in stock, they ordered it and offered me a rental car while they completed the repairs. This level of service exceeded my expectations, as no other dealership I've dealt with has shown such dedication to customer satisfaction. Additionally, they provided me with a free oil change and tire rotation on my next visit, demonstrating their integrity and loyalty. Just last week, I accompanied my brother to the dealership to explore the new Accent models for his family. Max served as our salesman that day, and he was excellent. Although my brother didn't make a purchase at that time, he was impressed by Max's professionalism and knowledge. He even mentioned that he would specifically request Max as his sales representative and ensure he receives the commission when he does make a purchase. If you're in the market for a Subaru and prefer a dealership that avoids high-pressure sales tactics, I highly recommend asking for Trevor or Max. They truly excel in their roles.

I wont go to any other Subaru dealer! From Tim, in Sales, who we bought the car from, to the service writers (Chuck), the repair people and the waiting room. All excellant, they actually act like they care, that they know you are important. Friendly , good service, and fair prices, and they are pet friendly. I would highly recommend this place whether your buying a car or having it serviced. Its worth the round trip 25 miles run for me knowing im in good hands.

I have to give a big shout out to this dealership. I bought a new car from Shingle Springs Subaru last year. I have always been buy a used car from a private party to save a few bucks kind of guy. However, since Covid a new car and used cost the same so it's a no brainer. I did all my haggling online so when it was time to purchase the Wilderness Outback the deal was set and under the suggested price. This was one of the only car dealers in my area finally selling cars under MSRP last year. Once I purchased the car there was NEVER a push to bring my car back to them. I was offered a free tire oil change and tire rotation when I bought the car at the 6 month, 6,000 miles. Six months later, I needed to do it again and decided to bring it to them. There was an hour delay because of unforeseen problems they had to service my car. The Service Department Rep was extremely understanding and really provided excellent customer service. In conclusion. I have never bought a car from a dealership but Shingle Springs has been as easy and comforting as it could have ever been. They are real, honest and just good people in my experience. I would highly recommend them.

We have bought two vehicles from Subaru Shingle Springs over the last few years. Can't say enough about the customer service we have received from this dealership. From the salesman Jeff to the GM Tom nothing but excellent customer service and super low key process. NO pressure to buy a vehicle like other dealerships we have been too. I drove off with an awesome new Impreza and Jeff made sure to go over all the new functions this car offers. I would highly recommend them if your in the market for a new car. Jason M.

I highly recommend getting in touch with Ernest Gordon in Internet Sales if you're looking for a Suburu/new car. From the very beginning of my new Suburu purchase experience, Ernest was professional, friendly and accommodating. He communicated well and was very familiar with the features of my new car, taking the time to go over them with me. I left Shingle Springs Suburu with a fantastic new Outback and a deal I was happy with and not pressured into. Awesome job, Ernest! Thank you!

Regarding Service Department- Brought my 2015 Crosstrek in for service (car was purchased at Shingle Springs Subaru). Included replacing CV joints and hatchback locking mechanism and oil change. They had it for 10 days! When I got it back, unbeknownst to me at the time, they had cross-threaded all the lugs on the front right wheel and bent the tailgate just enough to warp the view out of the backing camera when they replaced the tailgate latch. We became aware of the wheel damage when I took the car in to have the tires rotated at Big-O. At my expense I had to have the lugs drilled out and replaced at Big-O as they ALL broke when trying to remove the wheel. Its my daughter's car so I wasn't immediatly aware the backing camera had been worked over as well. Basically after having my daughter's car for 10 days they returned it with additional issues that didn't exist before they had it. One other odd thing was the service sticker they had placed on the windshield said O'Reilly Auto Parts!?! Never going back to that place again. Not for service and certainly not to purchase a car. Very dissappointed. Save yourself the grief.

We had a great buying experience at Shingle Springs Subaru. Our SA Kevin Powell was outstanding. He worked with the General Manager Tom Rockenbaugh to arrange a dealer trade. Kevin kept us in the loop the entire time, giving us updates on our new ride. Kevin introduced us to the service manager and parts department. Everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful. Shingle Springs isn't the closest dealership to us but we found them far superior to others in the area. We highly recommend!

If you are looking to buy a new or used car you should definitely give Steve Summers a call. 530-317-8179. He worked his magic and got me a great deal. Definitely recommend him 100% In today's world it's a pleasure to find someone of Steve's integrity. So take a ride to Shingle Springs Subaru and let Steve put together a great deal for you. If Steve is not there talk to Ernest Gordon 530-677-8771. He works with Steve and is awesome too.

TLDR: Incompetence run amuck. Terrible autorepair operation. Service doesn't talk to parts doesn't talk to cashier doesn't talk to service - who doesn't communicate with their customers. We arranged warranty work and a service for our Outback, our warranty part took forever to come in and Parts refused to call us when it came in - just said to keep checking in. The customer, who is not an autorepair professional, should not have to coordinate Service and Parts departments for themselves. When we eventually got the work done, they never called to let us know it was finished, and when we finally picked up the vehicle no one offered to go over the repairs one last time; and the battery was dead. The car wash guy had to jump it (battery tested good on the oil change paperwork, so that means the dealership did something to drain it while the car was there). These people can't get out of their own way, steer clear and take your car anywhere else.

I ordered a mirror cover for the passenger side (#13a), and was sent the driver side part that is for a different model (#30a). The packaging came wide open for the part, so it had been opened before. When I called to report the problem, they told me that their website was incorrect and I actually needed a different part anyway (#11a) When arranging to return the part, they wouldn't refund the shipping I paid either. I paid $60 for the part, $4 more for shipping, and got refunded $52, so it looks like I was deducted a restocking fee too? Wasn't a good experience and I won't be buying from them again. Order #24849.
