If you or someone you know is wanting to learn the art of float making, absolutely come see these fine folk. They are warm and welcoming. They will teach you everything, and in the end, watching the decorated float glide down the street into the morning light is super satisfying.

From Sierra Madre Rose Float Association

We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to entering a float in the annual Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade©. We are a totally “Self-Built” float – we design, construct, decorate and raise the necessary funds to produce our float every year. Funding is achieved through donations, memberships and local fundraising activities. The community of Sierra Madre is one of the oldest participants in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade, having entered a float since 1917. The 2023 entry is our 90th entry into the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade. Today, the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association designs, builds, decorates and completely funds the community’s annual entry.
