It's more typical to what Whole Foods Market used to be about. Healthy minded options every where and a faux health options sprinkled around the store.

Mothers is a convenient natural food store, but their prices are ridiculous. I purchased a garden of life vanilla chai protein Powder from them today out of convenience for $53 dollars. That same protein shake at Whole Foods is 34 and Amazon is 34. Across-the-board mothers products are ridiculously marked up in price. Why is this? Because of that I stick to buying gallons of water juice from the café in an occasional things here and there but their prices are just too high and everywhere else for the same products is cheaper.

Horrible! For 2 days can't get anyone to pick up the phone in the vitamin department. It continually rolls over to the main line, but staff won't go get someone to pick up the darn phone. They just sent me back through the automated phone cycle. I just gave up and ordered my product directly through the manufactures website. My preference is to support local business; they make it unnecessarily hard! I simply wanted to know if an item was in stock, to avoid an unnecessary track across town. Ridiculous!!! A zero is not an option unfortunately!

This place has horrible service and extremely overpriced. Nobody greets you, thanks you and when you ask for assistance, you get very rude and disrespectful responses. On average, compared to Whole Foods, they're about 20% more expensive and compare to like Ralph's or Vons more than 50% higher. I have complained to management on previous occasions due to really bad service - and I was just blown off. .

I expected Mother's Market to be just like Whole Foods, but with more selections of organic, gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian, and dairy-free. Mother's Market is exactly that, but instead of a hot bar area, they have an area where they make meals and drinks. The store itself is very clean and organized. I didn't find anything out of place, but I did find the eating area to be dirty and gross. The chairs were a bit dirty too, but they were comfy. They have tons of drinks on their menu, and I found out they made meals as well. The Sunrise Special was $4.99, and if I recall correctly, it was potatoes, cheese, egg, 2 tortillas, and onions. It was good for the price! However, there were bits of egg shell in my Sunrise Special. At least you know it's made in house! The Creamy Mango was okay, I thought it tasted powdery, but I later found out it was because it has hemp granola in it. I wouldn't get it again, but it was interesting. The store is pretty expensive, but you pay for the quality. I don't think I prefer this store over Whole Foods, but it is a cool store. I have never seen a peanut butter machine so it was interesting!

On a whim I decided to order lunch at work, something I do t do often. I found this place on Grubhub under the "Don't break the bank" category. I have never been more impressed with a first try meal at a restaurant, ESPECIALLY on a delivery order. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with the cauliflower "potato" salad. What a delicious and CHEAP meal! The keto cauliflower version of port was amazing and the chicken sandwich is packed full of tasty ingredients (seriously packed, can barely take a bite this is so big!). The food is high quality and definitely doesn't break the bank. I will be ordering from this place exclusively from now on for work lunch!

Consistently Great Food. Ever since this location opened (maybe 2018), I have enjoyed the food. I would always get the Farmhouse Bowl for lunch that is a fantastic meal. I was always happy to see Janice who has been there since the store opened. Janice is very friendly and remembers me even when it's been many months. While I was sad to see the inside dining disappear, they still have a nice sunny patio. Mother's always has great vegan options and it's my go to place when I'm in Signal Hill.

Not many options but the few they have are not bad at all! This Inferno Wrap is my absolute favorite. It's not nearly as spicy as it sounds, well, it's not spicy at all in my opinion. The potatoes are good too. Some good smoothie options as well.

I do not plan to return. I am a visually impaired person. I was looking for Vegan options. The woman at the deli was no help. I pulled out my magnifier and started to take out items. Everything was stacked together, and a soup fell. I bent to pick it up. It was leaking. The deli woman scolded me like a child. She told me I was making a mess. I tried to speak with the manager but she did not show up. I have called corporate.

Way over priced it’s like a sprouts with less veggies. I love this store, it could just come down 20%.

All-around good shopping and dining experience at Mother's Market Signal Hill. Frequent customer after my daily walk on top of Signal Hill.

Damn, Whole Foods, you'd better just step aside. Mother's Market and Kitchen is one of the nicest healthy grocery stores I've ever visited. I went to the Signal Hill location with a friend the other day (it was my first time shopping there), and was really impressed with the cleanliness of the store, the crisp merchandising, and the prices. Kind of a smaller store, but the selection was outstanding. Again, compared to WFM, it was very reasonable. We shared a quick snack of prepared lasagna, and it was as good as anything you'd get in a restaurant, at half the price. We also enjoyed some delicious peanut butter cookies. I love that they strongly discourage solicitors outside the front door, which was very refreshing. There's ample parking and there's also a nice outdoor dining area. Glad to know they're in the Long Beach area now!

Just went to buy water melon for .79 cents per lbs and Shelby charged me .89cents per lbsI noticed it in the car and already put my groceries in the trunk,I went back to the cashier Sheilby and told her she over charge me for the water melon for 10 cents more and she said to be able to return adjust the price she would need the see the item, I have my receipt and showed it to her and still insist that she needs to see the item to adjust the price,I left not satisfied with the service I got from Shelby.I called the manager right away and told her on what happened and Shelby could have just adjusted the price. The manager apologized for Shelby’s error.
