Horrible and rude customer service. I thought this was a family friendly place and the woman working with dark curly hair was extremely rude to me and my young son. We simply needed flea shampoo and was reprimanded that my child should not be more than 1 foot away from me; then was told there's no ticks in California and shown the door out. I had obviously asked for flea shampoo not tick shampoo and my son had never left my side. If you don't want customers, why are you even open? Can i give Zero stars?

Absolutely rude owner. I called to see if they carry chicken feed and her response was "I carry a lot of stuff, you can come and see for yourself." I asked if she carried just chick starter or actual chicken crumbles because not all pet stores carry it and she said ,"I'm not chicken expert and I'm not being a smart@$$. You can come or not." I was in the area so I stopped in anyway despite the rude exchange. As soon as I walked in she barely glanced up with me with a dismissive "hey". Anyway, she continued talking to a customer and I could overhear her giving medical advice, "don't put him on gabapentin..." it seemed like she knew what she was talking about and it was cool to see she took the time to care and talk to her customers like that. But as I didn't find what I was looking for and it was obvious she wasn't to be disturbed, I walked out. She yelled after me "what do you need?" I responded that I was fine and she literally chased me out the door and yelled "I don't need you anyway! Get out of here!" This store has great reviews and she's supposed to have a lot of knowledge. But she was either having a bad day or people just find this type of customer service acceptable these days. I hope she's okay.

I called today to ask if Pet Pantry carried Dr. Harvey's pet food and the woman who picked up (I'm assuming is the owner based on other reviews) said, "you mean Dr. Marty's" I said no, I've heard of Dr. Marty's but I'm looking for Dr. Harvey's. She said she has been working in the pet food industry for 20+ years and has never heard of the brand... (sorry to break if you, but things are constantly changing and evolving in the Pet Food Industry) I told her I was looking for a specialty brand that would help with kidney health... she proceeded to guilt trip me and said that had I fed my dog adequately, she wouldn't be having kidney problems. What? My dog is 16 years old. I have never had issues with her health until now and it is because of her old age. She's 16! Of course her body is going to wear and tear. She then proceeded to say, I'm not trying to put the blame on you. (Well you just did...) This woman was rude and sounded a little off to me. She said she's a pet nutritionist and also said that dogs need to chew kibble so that they don't lose their teeth. Huh?! She needs to go watch Pet Fooled. There are way BETTER pet shops with better customer service... with people who actually care about helping you find a good product for your pet. You are BETTER off finding a different place.

First of all if you haven't come here yet you should. Patty is amazing and so passionate about her store and her furry customers. She makes sure all food is the right food you should be feeding your animal and her knowledge is one of a kind. My cat was sick after throwing up blood and she gave me the cure to help her naturally. And no joke my cat started to feel like her self after just one night of implementing a few new things in her diet. We also saved so much money from the vet hospital by getting plenty of great advice from patty. After getting our cat love bug out the hospital we stopped by the store and patty went above and beyond and gave us free cans of food and a whole bag of dry food along with a few other things. Her generosity and passion for animals is one of a kind. You'd be amazed at all the things she knows that can really help your animal and their quality of living. If haven't had a chance you need to go here! Thanks patty ! See you soon !

Best pet store. Patty has helped my Black lab mix with both his nutrition and a flea issue. Started with Nulo, went to Voctor, and now I'm using Next Level. All three are terrific, but Next Level wins out. My pup is healthier than ever and his coat got shinier.. oh, and patty helped out my pup with a tape worm he got from the flea issue.... no harsh medicine needed. Ty Pet Pantry.

Tried to go early to get something for my animal. The crazy old lady wouldn’t let me in when the store was open. I’m never going to this place again. Petsmart is right down the street.

Upon entering the store, I was greeted by a cold and unwelcoming atmosphere. The owner, who was the only staff member present at the time, seemed disinterested in assisting customers. I had a few questions about pet supplies hoping for some guidance, but the owner's dismissive attitude was disheartening. When I finally mustered the courage to approach the owner with my inquiries, I was met with curt responses and a lack of patience. It felt like I was bothering them, and I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable throughout my visit. The overall customer service was far from what I expected, especially when dealing with a business that caters to pet lovers. Moreover, the owner's behavior wasn't limited to just me; I overheard them interacting with another customer, and the tone was equally unpleasant. It's disheartening to see someone in the pet industry, where empathy and compassion should be at the forefront, behaving so callously.

Very very very helpful & Carrington staff. It becomes obvious that their #1 concern is the PET. VERY REASSURING. I had been to PETCO, WALMART, CVS and was running out 9f hope and then I drove by and they looked like they could help me. And they did.

This is the best pet store I have ever been to. Patty is someone who is very passionate about what she does (a true advocate for animals)if you have thin skin and don’t want to know the harsh truth on how to better your dogs health. This is probably not the place for you. I appreciate all the years of experience and research, it really shows when you speak to her; she has endless knowledge about all all the products, she sells and all of the ingredients in them. She can really break it all down for you. Pet Pantry only supplies, the best of the best. If you ask her a question, she will answer it in the most truthful way, and there’s a lot to gain from someone who speaks with only the truth. I read some comments on here, that mentioned her customer service. So I thought I should leave an honest review.I stumbled upon the pet pantry a few months ago, I was on my way to Costco to buy my dog food. I saw the pet pantry and decided to stop by. Patty greeted me and asked me what food I was currently feeding my dog I told her the Kirkland brand she proceeded to tell me all the ingredients that are in that brand. She then pulled out the receipts lol (list of ingredients). The list was scary. We see a lot of these ingredients and most of the time we can’t even pronounce them. She read them to me and told me what they were. I appreciate her taking the time to do that I will never buy my dog Kirkland again. She also took the time to ask me questions about my dog, to recommend the best food for her. Her recommendation was spot on. Luna’s (my dog) energy completely shifted. She’s a 10 year old pitbull and her energy levels were really low. It was beginning to concern me after I made the switch. Her coat has gotten a lot shinier her energy is a lot better. She is playful now back to he do normal self (: Thank you Patty 1 million times over and over again you’re the BEST IN THE BUSINESS & I trust you more then I trust my Vet.. ???
