Called Smart Madness, asked for help from (ART) that I was having problems with my 2016 Smart 453 - ABS, bouncing the car all over the road. Told Art I spent $300 with Mercedes Covina to be told no can fix or what was the cause. It took Art 5 minutes and no dollars spent to diagnose the problem and how to fix it. All over the phone. In a no responsive world SM is my go to for all my Smart Car Needs Thanks Art.

I ran across this company when I was looking for a replacement part for my 2015 electric Smart car. Someone had smashed into my rear corner and their insurance co had sent me to some autobody shop that had to order the panel. I waited literally 6 months, and they still didn't have it. I have a friend who I figured could help me swap it out if I could get the part myself. The body shop had quoted me around $1000 (which the other driver's insurance was going to pay). In the end, I had them send me a check. I called Smart Madness, and they told me they could have the panel in a few days! It was around $200, which seemed totally reasonable. When I went to pick it up, Eric showed me step by step what I needed to do to remove the old panel and attach the new. He also supplied me with links to several youtube videos, and told me I was free to call with any questions if I ran into trouble. He was super helpful and it ended up being a breeze! I had to call him again today because my son left the lights on all night and the battery was dead. I was afraid the car was toast because you can't let an electric Smart completely run out of charge. He was very helpful with suggestions and everything turned out fine! Very grateful to Eric and Smart Madness!

Smart Madness is a great company with great customer service. Recently, I tried ordering a part online and I made an error; I had only bought one piece of it instead of the whole unit. When I went to return it so that I could get the money back to buy the whole part from them, one of the guys said that if I just covered shipping, he'd send me the entire part for free (I just had to cover shipping)! That was so kind. It made my day. Good people still do exist.

My ignition key got stuck in my Smart ForTwo Electric Drive, but Art was able to fix it in 10 minutes! Thank you, Smart Madness! See you at my next scheduled service appointment:)

I've been bringing my ride to them since I bought it in 2017. They have always been and still are outstanding people that give you honesty. They won't try to service your ride with trying to get $$ of you. They have always an still are my to go shop for anything my smart ride will need or required. I recommend them to any smart owner in the South Bay Area

When my 2008 Smart car with a custom twin tailpipe muffler needed replacement I didn't hesitate to contact Smart Madness. They know this car and I've been to this location before for service. When I came to their shop Jan. 2022 they explained that my current muffler was no longer available and that the replacement muffler would require new cuts in my bumper. They quoted the cost for total parts, paint and labor and made an appointment for 2 months later. I had originally wanted my new bumper painted to match my car color, but decided to save the cost for painting and stick with the standard black bumper. Originally I thought the repairs would take 4-5 hours, took the day off from work and arrived in the morning prepared to hang out in their customer lounge. Art immediately started working on my car and within 1.5 hours my new muffler was completely installed. Evidently he had heard me take a phone call from my employer and my response that I thought wouldn't be available until the afternoon. Thank you for your great customer service, follow-up and installation. I will share my experience with other Smart Car owners I know here in HB & Newport Beach. So glad I no longer have to deal with the MBZ Service Departments. You guys rock!!!

I brought my car in for service today and I am so impressed with the service and repairs! Eric and Art are always super helpful and kind. When I drove off I immediately felt the difference in my car. I'm definitely going to continue coming here for any future repairs or service. These guys are awesome!

Forget the dealer or any other shop.....Smart Madness is the best! I am an original Smart owner and have been going to them since 2008. They have never disappointed. Art, Eric and the gang are smart, helpful, kind and have always helped me in more ways than I can list. They go above and beyond regular customer service and will usually give options (more expensive vs less expensive) for all of the work I have had done in their shop. They have done repairs, regular service, installations, body work and more. I have always been 100% satisfied with all of their repairs, advice and service. These guys are like family now and I am so fortunate that I live close to their shop, although if I had to drive a few hundred miles to use them, I would.

Good service for our smart car brakes changing. I would not do anything minor here since prices are higher for small stuff you could do by yourself or at local small shops.

Horrible service! They have nothing in stock and when they finally do ship your order there's parts missing. Good luck doing business with them. I know I learned my lesson. Never again!

Update #2: Putting this one at the top but I'm not redacting the experience that led up to this. Art, the manager at the Long Beach location called me this morning, the comments on Yelp about his customer service baffled me because he's a nice guy. I didn't agree with everything he told me but he didn't try to BS me either. This experience was also good. He called, apologized and explained his self (wasn't really his fault anyway), and he is going to make it right for me. The guys at the Long Beach shop are literally the only reason I have decided to keep this and would ever consider doing business with this company. I ordered an air intake in September of last year. Mid-February it arrives. It is missing parts and a representative from the company had told me that they were sending me extras because I had to wait so long. Almost five months and I still don't even have what I ordered. Emailed Boris, the owner of the company last week when my part shipped and they hadn't notified me. An auto response said they would get back to me in 48-72 hours. Here I am a week later, emailing again, getting the same auto response. Still haven't heard a word from Smart Madness. Extremely disappointing experience and terrible customer service from the owner. They claimed several times that it was COVID related but my company does international shipping (not to mention all the other parts I've ordered from overseas for my Smart) and we build entire kitchens. Doubling a lead time for safety doesn't bother me, but five months is insane. The order is still wrong, the representatives won't respond, and they blatantly lied to me about rectifying this. Be wary doing business here. Nice people in person but you're screwed if you think you have to order anything. Thanks for reading. Hope you find a better solution somewhere else. Update #1: Boris' voicemail is full and no one is answering the phone. Sent another email requesting a refund. Now awaiting a response from three emails sent to three addresses associated with the company as well as a voicemail also requesting a refund.

When I lived in LA, used Smart Madness there, they were outstanding to deal with - much better than the dealer - very knowledgeable, great service & prices. I live away from LA now, but have called a couple times for tech info trying to do a repair myself - they could not have been more helpful and patient!!!! Super friendly, helpful service - six stars if I could!!! ***Highly recommend - thanks Smart Madness!!!!!***

I'm a newbie to the smart car world. I've always loved the cars, and finally decided to purchase one. Unfortunately, all of the Smart centers/dealers around the area are now shut down for whatever reason, and became full on Mercedes-Benz dealers. I was searching for a reliable shop where I could have my car serviced without having to worry if they knew what they were doing or not. I stumbled upon Smart madness via google, and decided to stop by to check them out. Unfortunately, I'm horrible with names and don't recall the name of the gentleman whom I spoke with for about 20-30 minutes about what it is they do there. He was very knowledgeable, kind, and reassuring. I'm definitely looking forward to bringing my 451 in the near future for maintenance/customization

Any local shops around the general Los Angeles area that service Smart Cars? They closed the Cerritos dealership. Beverly Hills Mercedes (over priced) and Smart Madness in Long Beach with terrible customer service where they insult the customers. Is Beverly Hills Mercedes only the option?
