Great service from the moment I walked in. I was greeted right away and offered help, and the gentlemen overseeing the store was so friendly. At check out he asked if I wanted to sign up, which I did. Hr even separated the gift receipts for me. I’d never been in a 5.11 store before, and it was very cool. I will be returning.

Wish I could have bought everything I saw that I like in this store! Glad that it’s close by. Good customer service, got me some tactical pants 2 pairs cause they fit perfect. They had a lot of cool stuff will definitely be coming back soon.

i was in 5.11 yesterday and today. i just wanted to give a shout out to the nice man who helped me and my mom out(sorry i didn’t get his name) he was very helpful and guided me with my purchases. i usually go to the 5.11 in my hometown(san diego) and they were absolutely no help, so i appreciate the amazing customer service :) i don’t live locally but my family does so i’ll probably be back eventually for more purchases.

my experience at the 5.11 Tactical store in Simi Valley absolutely deserves to be recognized—particularly because of one standout individual: Jake.
From the moment I stepped into the store, Jake made me feel genuinely welcomed. He wasn’t just friendly and polite—he was exceptionally patient, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I found exactly what I needed. This wasn’t just someone doing their job. This was someone who cared.
Jake knew the A to Z of the entire store. Every piece of tactical gear, every detail about fit, function, purpose—he answered all my questions thoughtfully and thoroughly, without ever making me feel rushed. I walked in somewhat unsure of what I needed and left feeling completely confident in my purchase thanks to his expert guidance.
What really struck me was Jake’s ability to strike the perfect balance between being helpful and being human. He took the time to understand what I was looking for and guided me with honesty and integrity. It felt like I was shopping with a trusted friend who just happened to know everything about tactical gear.
