When it comes to ordering a cake for an event I have to say I will never order anywhere but Stater Brothers Bakery in a Simi Valley. I have ordered at least 8 cakes over the last 2 years for large events and extremely pleased everytime. I actually give them an idea of what I want and say surprise me and have hit the mark not only on design decoration color but also on flavor. The cake always seems soft moist and fresh as if it was made morning of (which it probably is) not frozen or stocked and just absolutely delicious. Here are 2 examples of cakes I have said surprise me and they did. One was for the birthday of our drummer and the other a double grandma blingy birthday Excellent cake makers

Shopped there today...Jesse the produce manager was amazing at customer service! He told me some of the rarer items they carry that I might enjoy. He also personally went to the meat /seafood department and had them put together a marinated salmon for me that he thought I might like! We need more people like Jesse in life!

I was having such a bad day and, having just moved to Simi, decided to try a new place. I'm so glad I did. The store was amazingly clean, the aisles are refreshingly wide, the prices are second to none. I almost felt bad taking something off the shelf because everything was organized so beautifully. I can't stop telling everyone about it. This will for sure be my new grocery store.

Store is always clean. Meats are so-so, Costco & Green Acres have great meats. Produce department is small but convenient. Bakery is marginal and pre-made selection is marginal too, but works in a pinch. The WORST part of the store is the sushi by Fujisan, simply the worst sushi ever and I was thrilled when they were replaced at Vons. Yes, I only buy market sushi in a pinch, but Fujisan is not even worth in a pinch!

I went to this location out of convenience. I usually shop at Costco or Trader Joe's, but was in a rush. I picked up two chuck roasts and two tri-tips due to the price. That should have been the red flag that something was wrong. I spent about $90 for what I thought was quality meat. The chuck roast made both my husband and I sick. And, don't even get my started on the tri-tip! One looked as if it was growing something, and the other one we purchased was completely rotten in the middle. I will never shop here again. Please be aware of what you're buying, the meat from here is going to cause someone to get extremely sick!

I left out one of the most important parts! I wanted to say that every time I have called, their genuine kindness and friendliness makes it a joy to speak with them. Definitely appreciated. I will recommend Stater Bros. Markets to everyone I know.

Been living in so cal for 30+ years watching stater Bros commercials on TV but never lived in vicinity. This is a terrific market in the west end of Simi Valley. It is full service deli, hot food, seafood, and fully stocked shelves . They carry items/ brands I've had problems finding at Vons or Ralphs in Simi. The check out clerks are super nice will help you with your bags . With the drive to the other side of town , which means like 4 minute drive in simi . My new market!

Went to Stater brothers on 12/20/21 to get a ham for christmas, I will say I was not happy the last time I went there, now I am sure as hell not happy this time. I understand shelves are empty, you get a pass for that, but what pissed me off today was that the meat looked like something a zombie would love, The chicken looked terrible, and so did other bits of meat. Went to get a ham it was not priced, It was a Smithfield ham, they tried to charge me and ignore their sale of $1.29/lb, when I brought it up to the guy they were argumentative about it and not polite about it. They upcharges me for another ham that they cut. The meat department needs new management, they are getting way out of control.

My go to grocery store in Simi. Everything is always clean, fully stocked, and their meat selection is wonderful. I love talking with Tracey and Monique at the registers - everyone is so friendly here.

I wanted to share my great experience today at Stater Bros Food Market in Simi Valley, CA. I often visit this market, especially the meat department, and today I received great service from Anthony. This is not the first time. He is helpful, always in a great mood and is smiling with his eyes - because of the co vid mask. He is very knowledgeable and makes great suggestions when I am thinking of my next great dinner experience. When visiting this market, look and ask for Anthony, the meat department manager. He is top notch and easy on the eyes!! I will be enjoying my rib roast tonight with garlic and rosemary seasoning with a touch of steakhouse spices. Thanks Anthony.

Bad attitude at the meat counter. Ignoring and if ya get someone's attention indifferent, pathetic, rude service. It's really changed. We miss the kid with the Navy captains hat. Solid, appreciated service.

Several disappointing experiences with the meat department staff have caused us to rarely shop here anymore. This morning was yet another example. It's 11am on a Saturday in July, no customers waiting at the meat counter, only one jalapeno hamburger patty sitting in the display, so my wife asked if there were any more patties available. The first employee gave a snotty reply of "not right now!" while another called out from the butcher area "it's going to be a long time!". The attitude from both was completely unprofessional. It's sad, because when this store first opened, we were so excited to finally have a Stater Bros near us. We love to BBQ and had always heard great things about their meat. The staff when they opened was fantastic and all the reviews of their meat proved to be true. Unfortunately, they just don't seem to care about customer service anymore.

I tell all my friends about this market. The staff are friendly and helpful. Yes, it is all about the meats, but it offers so much more. My husband jokes that the butchers are my new best friends. They are knowledgeable and accommodating. You want thick butterflied pork chops? They follow your specifications and work with you to make your meals a great experience! We stock up when Rib-eyes go on special! They also have a good wine selection when you are looking for a cab to pair with your steak. The Simi Valley store is our home store. We have folks from Thousand Oaks and Westlake drop by just to stop by Staters after visiting. Love this market!

This is one of my favorite stores to shop at. Since we live in the great crater that is the San Fernando Valley it's not alway convenient to shop here. We try and hit it up while passing through on our way home from many Ventura County trips. Why do I like it? They have very good produce. The isles are wide for getting around. Everything is well stocked. The folks that work here are super friendly and not in a fake way. Meat! Meat! Meat! The meat department is awesome. They put great cuts of meat on sale all the time. Things I have bought here you can't find anywhere else- 2" Thick cut 24 oz Porterhouse Steaks for $5.99 a pound Brisket Point cut for slow BBQ Bone in Chicken Breast and Thighs for 0.99 a pound Giant 7 lbs. Roaster Chicken for $1.05 a pound Corned Beef for $1.99 a pound. That's dinner tonight! They have real butchers here. I had them cut me a 10 lb, rib roast for Christmas last year. Really, they are the best!

It's a ritual at this point. Every week my little one and I put our masks on and we go get our favorites to make at home. From the Cowboy steaks to the fantastic wine selections. We almost know the butchers by name.
