HIDDEN FEES!! $16 for parking at a hotel with not a ton of businesses around it. It’s not as if people not staying here are using this parking lot? There was tons of parking available. In other words they are mearly ripping off the public. Done staying here.

Bathroom was very dirty. Whatever this was on the cabinets was disgusting and the counters were left dirty with the tinfoil lid from someone’s toothpaste. The refrigerator in the room froze my yogurt, eggs salsa. I told the front desk and they gave me no discount or no money back for destroying my food and leaving me with a dirty room. Nowhere when I booked the room did it say I was gonna have to pay to park in the parking lot. $16 is a rip off. I asked them why I said is it because you are not doing business well and the new guy behind the counter cannot answer my question. All these years of traveling, I’ve never paid to park in a hotel parking lot. Not impressed.

Rooms are old, My TV didn’t work, and they charge you $16 dollars a day just to park your car. Just not a fan of bait and switch pricing, not a very good hotel for the price I have spent half as much and gotten 2x as

I'll start by saying I gave This hotel a 1 star review based on customer service and physical interior condition. Simply put the management needs to be replaced. Vincent first, the little claw handed guy who sticks a finger in the mashed potatos from scary movie. Then next Thomas the 150k/yr manager who over charges for everything.Cons: hidden $15/night parking fees for giant empty parking lot, mold in cielings, leaks water from rain, rooms are old, furniture is ancient, my bathtub had a hole it in. dirty finger nail and hair in drawers, sconces falling off wall, dust clogged hvac unit gave me sore throat.i stayed here for almost a month and its basically a motel 8 with a few palm trees, a nice view, a decent lobby, and a heated pool. there thats the pros too.after staying here for 3 weeks, they'll shut your room key off if you checkout late, they wont call you, and then policy is have security escort you around after that. terrible customer service, expect motel 8.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Vista Hotel in Simi Valley, CA, and I can't help but share what a fantastic experience it was!

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Vista hotel on Christmas day 2023. This was the 3rd or 4th time we stayed here throughout the years, so my expectations were not high. The hotel location is conveniently located to the places we visit in town. This stay (which will be my final stay ever at this property) was the straw that broke the camel's back. The hotel is an aging property (built in 1988) that has not been maintained or upgraded (last renovation 2004) over the years. The TV in the room looks like is about 24" and seems the size of a computer monitor. The room refrigerator is so noisy, I had to disconnect it to get any sleep. The furniture is old and spongy, and the bed was soft and unsupportive. The linen did appear clean, however. The soap in the bathroom was about the size of a credit card and barely 1/4" thick. The bath towels and washcloths were rough and worn, and the bathmat was so small and thin, it was useless. The water pressure and temperature were good, but the toilet could barely flush. The room floor was sloped -- which is something I had never seen in a hotel room before -- and I have travelled extensively (US, Canada, The Caribbean, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and The Middle East) in the past 40+ years. There was also a constant dripping noise that was coming from the A/C unit from the room above. To make matters worse, the Grand View now charges $14.00 to park in their parking lot. Parking has been free at this hotel for 20+ years. This "new" fee is not mentioned anywhere on their website.I would NOT recommend staying at this hotel. There are much better hotel choices in Simi Valley and surrounding areas.

This has been a nice place to stay while visiting our daughter. Reasonable price for the area with a nice restaurant and a decent pool! The interior is on the old side but it's a clean facility! Good place!Rooms: Decent, comfy rooms. The beds are comfy with plenty of big pillows!Nearby activities: Arenas is a sports bar next door with live music and screens for games.Walkability: You can walk around the place and a business park for exercise.Food & drinks: They have an on-sight restaurant and a small store with snacks and drinks.Noteworthy details: They have a great view of the mountains over the highway. Beautiful view in the morning!

Typical american-style hotel; the rooms are not dirty, yet sometimes do require repair. No food: the breakfast they offer is not edible, at all. Good and comparatively big pool.

Now, where do I even begin with this dump? Let's start with the ambiance, or lack thereof. The place looks like it's stuck in a time warp, probably from the era when disco was still a thing. I half-expected to see bell-bottoms and polyester suits at the check-in counter. The rooms, my friend, are a different level of disappointment. I've seen prison cells with more charm. The decor? It's like someone raided a thrift store from the '70s and thought, "Yeah, this'll do." The bed felt like it was salvaged from the Titanic wreckage, and I swear the sheets had a thread count lower than my IQ.Now, let's talk about the staff. I've met more helpful vending machines. The receptionist had all the warmth of a snowman in a sauna, and don't even get me started on the cleaning crew. I wouldn't trust them to clean a pet rock, let alone the room I was supposed to sleep in.And don't even get me started on the so-called "amenities." The pool looked like it hadn't been cleaned since the dawn of time, and the gym equipment seemed like it was salvaged from a garage sale where all the good stuff got picked over.Oh, and let's not forget the pièce de résistance—the view. If you're a fan of staring at a parking lot that could rival the excitement of watching paint dry, then congratulations, you've hit the jackpot. To top it all off, the cherry on this disaster sundae was the Del Taco down the street. I wouldn't feed their "food" to a starving raccoon. I've had more enjoyable meals in a school cafeteria during a health inspection. In conclusion, if you enjoy throwing money down the drain for an experience that makes purgatory seem like a beach vacation, then by all means, book a room at the Grand Vista Hotel in Simi Valley. But if you have an ounce of self-respect and a shred of sanity, run far, far away. It's a one-star rating because zero stars wasn't an option, and that's probably the most accurate reflection of this pitiful excuse for a hotel.
