This facility feels like a dressed up motel rather than a hotel....rooms are entered from exterior

I always book my in-laws here they love it. They usually visit a couple times a year and the staff always remembers them and their preferences. Anytime I can arrange something for my mother-in-law and she has now complaints, it's a good thing.

We stayed from 10 to 12 July and this hotel was great. The location was good, close to the Reagan Presidential library, and also walking distance to Vons across the road and lots of nearby restaurants. The room was clean, the beds comfortable and the room had a small fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure ensured a nice hot shower. I need to make a special mention to the team members in the breakfast room, who on both days ensured that the breakfast buffet was always filled and the quality was fabulous. The team members were constantly making sure the area was kept clean and well stocked, and were super friendly. I recommend this hotel if you need a stay in Simi Valley.

Great staff, yummy breakfast, clean room, clean pool and cozy new beds. Certain rooms have a jet bath tub. Rooms have a mini fridge.

Extremely rude staff. The bathroom wasn’t working so they came and “fixed it.” They refused to put me into another room. And later that night it broke again and when the front desk clerk came in, he acted like I was purposely breaking things and stated “don’t do experiments” and instructed me on how to use the restroom. What type of establishment is this. Please avoid

We were in town for a wedding at the Historic Park. This hotel was perfectly located for our weekend. The front desk had our room ready by 2pm, and everyone at the reception area was pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the 3rd floor, and very quiet. The blinds work as black out blinds. We had two queen beds. Really comfy and we loved having a bathtub to take a soak. There is a Vons across the street so we picked up a gallon of water and some extra coffee pods. There is a Keurig coffee machine so we enjoyed making our coffee in the morning.
The breakfast was plentiful. I made the pancakes and had oatmeal and yogurt. My husband had scrambled eggs. They have a wide selection of choices.
Daily housekeeping service was the cherry on top! It was nice to come back to a clean room with fresh towels each day.
This was a good value. I saved nearly $100 across the three nights we were here vs staying at the Courtyard, where breakfast is not included.

Stayed here for a business trip, and while the hotel is on the smaller side, the staff was outstanding! I was honestly surprised because, in my experience, smaller hotels don’t always have the friendliest or most helpful staff—but everyone here was super nice and welcoming. The room was decent—nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable. What really stood out was the exceptional service—it made all the difference. Because of that, I’d definitely stay here again & gave them 5 stars!

Super friendly staff and very clean and spacious rooms.
If you have mobility devices, not to worry. You have the option to select rooms that have assistance in the bathroom area. The beds are very far apart to allow wheelchair accessibility.
The site has plenty of parking.
If you need to grab snacks or drinks, they do have that area for purchase.
They most impressive part was the breakfast dining area. Super spacious and multiple tvs.
The breakfast was very delicious and loved the pancake maker. Select how many and push a button. Kids loved it.
Love there is coffee available in the front desk area 24/7.
Highly recommended two thumbs-up 👍👍

It’s rare that I’ll rave about a hotel, but this Holiday Inn Express is stellar! We had a room at the tail end of the building, but even with the extra walk from the elevator, it was still worth it!
Our room was immaculate, comfy, and clearly well-maintained beyond normal cleaning. We arrived late in the evening during the most intense wind storm I’ve ever experienced and the front desk staff were awesome, apologizing for the weather & the impact it was having, which is completely out of their control. They made sure to remind us to let them know if we needed anything, and were quick to get us checked in and settled in our room.
Below are the pros and cons of this property
PROS:
-The BEST “included in the room rate” hotel breakfast. Incredibly friendly and attentive breakfast room staff, hot and fresh food, not the same boring items day after day.
-Clean and well-maintained rooms/facilities
-Spacious rooms
-Numerous Tesla superchargers
-Walking distance to Vons (major grocery store) with a Starbucks inside
-Walking distance to several fast food/casual dining options
-24/7 fitness center (small, but reasonably equipped) and walking distance to Crunch Fitness (on the other side of the 118 freeway)
-Ample free parking
-Freeway adjacent with a signal at the main driveway, as well as easy side street access
CONS:
-Not a fully indoor property. Rooms all open out to a central outdoor courtyard/balcony area, but walkways are all covered.
-This is an older property, so it’s not brand new and ultra modern (still has plenty of great features and excellent staff!)
-Not the most disability-accessible property. There is 1 elevator serving the property, and some rooms are a bit of a walk from the elevator. Those who have mobility issues should ensure they request a room with closer proximity to the elevator if possible.
-Well-maintained pool, but NO hot tub.
BOTTOM LINE:
This property is definitely worth booking, especially if you don’t need all the top-dollar amenities that newer properties offer. Our stay was for an entire week (check-in Tuesday night, checkout early the following Tuesday morning). We had zero issues during our stay besides the high winds causing some minor noise, but that should be expected for a room that opens up to an outdoor area.

Clean room. Appears to be a recent refresh. Service staff were very friendly, always smiling. Only issue was an older room HVAC unit that was noisy. Woke us up each time it kicked on. Great selections for included breakfast and daily room cleaning was an unexpected plus as many places are extending cleaning days to two or more.
