If i could rate zero i would. My mom bought a washer. Waited at least 2 weeks for it. Her decision was not quick and easy. She wanted to make sure she found the best appliance for her to use. Home depot has a 48 hr time frame for the customer to use the appliance and availability to return the product. My mom didnt use the washer. My mom is 85 and didnt see in the instructions where to put the liquid detergent and liquid fabric softener. This washer does not have the agitator in the middle of the tub. The instructions say to put directly in the tub. Most of us know that doing that will most likely stain and damage your clothes. Bottom line, home depot would not take back the washer even though my mom didnt use it, yes it was beyond the 48 hr time frame. The customer rep i talked to from the 800 number believed the store would take it back, maybe requiring a restocking fee. No customer satisfaction here at the simi store. My mom paid close to $1000 for that appliance just to be stuck with something she doesnt like.

Just a shout out to Mark in plumbing. He was helping me, walking down the isle, and we passed a lady who he asked if she needed any help. Nothing big right? Well, in all my times in Home Depot, this is the first where an employee approached a customer, and not vice versa.

Most of the younger Cashiers here are more interested in making customers wait or acknowledging us while playing on cell phones on company time. Jonathan at the ProDesk had his phone propped up behind his scanner gun. He was having a conversation with a co-worked that was clocked out behind the register.

My business partner and I are renovating our new store here in Simi. We visited the flooring department at Home Depot and were helped by Paul. He spent a lot of time helping us find something within our extremely tight budget and placing the order for us in a way that it would be delivered and easier for us to handle since we are installing it ourselves. Thank you Paul for taking care of us. We really appreciate it and will be returning for many more projects.

If you’re a veteran just go to Lowe’s. If you don’t have an account they’ll still give you the military discount. Home Depot is still the worst.
