Ken is THE BEST! My husband's had a lot of issues with his car and it wouldn't pass the smog test. Ken worked with him and got everything fixed and charged him much less than another mechanic quoted him. He will work with you and not talk you in to fixing things that aren't really needed just to get money out of you like so many others do. We will never take any of our cars to anyone other than Ken at Kean's!

I've always done my own repairs but occasionally, over the last 15 or so years, I've used this shop when I didn't have the time or the inclination to do a job myself. My wife's car developed a stuck open thermostat and wouldn't reach full operating temp. Not a check engine light problem but still a fault condition, the A/C wouldn't work. I had the parts but not being a big fan of working with anti-freeze (we have cats) I stopped by the other morning and asked Ken how much to change the thermostat. He quoted me $50 to $75. That sounded very reasonable to me so I left the car there all day. Late that afternoon I picked it up and he showed me a bill for $260!!! Sensing my outrage and his lack of a comprehensible explanation he took a whopping $30 off. In my mind this was just a Band-Aid on a bullet wound. Adding insult to injury, driving home I could tell the cooling system wasn't acting right. After things cooled down (me included) I discovered the air wasn't bled from the system, a fairly simple procedure that I did myself, and I’m not even a “professional” getting $130/hr. If left unchecked this could have permanently damaged the engine. I don't know what's going over there but strongly suggest buyers beware. Kean has been my mechanic for well over 30 years. He is the most kind, honest mechanic you will ever meet. I cannot say enough good about him. Always Super helpful. He deserves 10 stars!!

charged me $100 didn't do scan. came back, charged me $300 to install battery. cars dead, thank god it's in driveway. used this guy before, now he's scamming. beware of his scan price and make sure he does it. i paid and still got screwed.

I don't recommend anybody going to them to get their car "fixed". Unless if you want to get robbed of your money.

My dad and i stopped by today 7/2/21 i bring our own oil change and ask how much for labor. he reply back $35 and i ask if you can give $30 (i'm previous his customer) he start upsetting and told me if you want to do just do it if not "i don't care" because this place is not negotiable. don't go there if you dare be my guest.Service: Oil change

My car broke down on the fwy and I had it towed to anyplace AAA would tow it to. This other place quoted me a completely ridiculous amount of money to fix my car! A friend of mine recommended Keans auto and told me of their wonderful experience with Kean, and promised me I would not be disappointed. I had my car towed to Keans auto the following day. Kean was extremely honest, professional, reliable, and informed me of exactly what was wrong with my car. He kept the old, broken parts to show me what had gone wrong...and on top of everything else positive, he was extremely reasonable! I'm so glad my friend recommended Keans Auto to me. I trust him...he's both an honest mechanic (which is hard to find) and extremely reasonable with his prices. I found my new mechanic and will be referring friends to him from now on.

I admit I hold grudges and do not forget when I receive bad service. Fortunately, I do not have to do either of these when it comes to Ken at Kean's Automotive. My family has been bringing our cars to Ken for more than 20 years and we are all pleased with his work ethic and honesty. He treats us fairly and is pretty quick with the repairs. He also is very good about accommodating our work schedules by letting us leave our car overnight for service the next day or pick it up when we can following the work. Sure, over the years, there may have been a time or two when he had to pinpoint an issue that was not completely fixed, but he would jump right back in to diagnose the problem and make it right. Honest mechanics are hard to find, but I found one.

I have brought my cars and motorhomes to Ken for years. He is a good honest man. I find few like Ken in the automotive industry these days. He is always taken great care of my families vehicles. His prices are fair, service is prompt, and he tells me if the problem is critical or not to worry about it for now. He has NEVER tried to upsell me or repairs I don't need.
