This is the first time patronizing this establishment. I have a 71 Chevelle and went to this establishment because the shop that originally installed the exhaust system is closed on weekends and I couldn't stand the rattling anymore. After speaking with the service writer at Midas, he talked me out if the mufflers i actually wanted and installed some no name brand and said i would love the sound. I don't like the sound at all! Come to find out the Magnaflow mufflers that were on it were guaranteed for a lifetime. He should have known this.. If I would have checked my receipts, I would have waited and had it taken to the shop that installed them, which is right down the street and they do a fantastic job, and all I would have had to pay would have been the labor.
Also, the weld on the mufflers they installed, is garbage!! I could have done a better job if i had a cheap Harbor Freight welder.
I am not happy and would not recommend them, at least to replace mufflers...Isn't that what they are supposed to be known for?
I have pictures of their work, which is garbage! Did I say Garbage???
What an idiot I was for being impatient... I will not go back or recommend them, at least for exhaust work.

Just returned from this Midas location in Simi Valley and could not be more pleased with the professional and honesty in the care for my car. Jeff Patey, the General Manager, found found critical issues that needed attention. These were not noted by other companies I visited for routine oil changes. Hopefully our Honda Civic will last another 100,000 miles! If you want to be treated fairly and obtain great service for your car, I highly recommend this Midas shop. Plus at reasonable prices!

Please read before you go. Beware of your quote. My son took his car for a catalytic converter and the part was priced at almost $2000. Service person saw he made a mistake and the price was $600 less, still not a good price. A catalytic converter for his truck at auto stores are about $250 not $1400. Be sure to research before going to Midas in Simi Valley. There are plenty of mom and pop mechanics around. Support small business owners.

I came only for an oil change as I enjoyed my experience with MIDAS in Long Beach and wanted to get the same quality of service after my move. I found this MIDAS store near my new place and decided to give it a try. Every time I go they always find things wrong with my vehicle which I appreciate, but the manager’s tone always changes the moment I politely decline repairs and ask if they can just do the oil change and the
complimentary tire rotation. He then becomes condescending with me, and most of the time, I ignore it, but after today, I cannot. If I could give this MIDAS 0 stars after today I would. My partner went to this MIDAS to get an oil change and the manager also found issues wrong with his car which my partner was aware of. My partner politely declined for them to repair the problems as he already has an appt with his mechanic (who is my partner’s father) in January to fix the problems, and was then treated disrespectfully by the manager. The manager called him a “transient” and asked him “why can’t your dad just take care of your mechanical issues”. My partner maintained his composure and explained that his father lives in Northern California. The manager then refused to acknowledge my partner’s coupon for the oil change and refused to rotate their tires.

I've been taking my car here for years. Never again.I brought my car in for an oil change and to have a noise looked at. My car is an early 2000's vehicle and just this year alone, I have spent thousands on repairs. I have taken my car to this specific location every single time. Shortly after dropping my vehicle off, the owner called to state what I needed repaired and quoted me an amount. My husband was shocked and decided we should call Auto zone and ask for the part cost over the phone. Just to give anyone reading this specifics. The owner quoted me $600 for a refurbished part and $800 for a new part. Those amounts did not include labor. Auto zone sells this exact part new for $182. It's literally 4 weeks before Christmas and I still can't believe the owner of this establishment was going to take advantage of me. Especially since I have already spent a significant amount of money there. I understand everyone is trying to make it out there, but in no way will I have this location fix my car ever again. You lost a customer due to greed!

I trusted them to service my truck for just an oil change. When it came back, we noticed that something is not the same. After returning the truck over to them, I was told that there was a broken part that would cost us about $800 to fix. Wow, my truck was working one day and it just happen to brak overnight after they did a maintenance to it? Give me break! Anyway, please don't take my word. Bring your car here and find out yourself if this is a good shop or not. As for me, nah I won't bring any of our cars here ever.

Best place to get your car serviced!! Excellent service --and after my recent service my car is running even better. Dealership told me I needed a bunch of work on my sons car (boot joint) and Jeff saved me a lot because I didn't need all the things the dealer recommended. Honest and trustworthy!!

The best review. This business has been so wonderful and convenient. I accidently blew out my rim, and tge wonderful receptionist drove all the way to Santa Clarita and knocked it out of the park to help me fix my vehicle to allow me to drive home to SFV. The employees are so awesome. Especially Jeff. The best car care service. And I extremely trust them so honest and caring!!!!

The manager of this place is a complete asshole not only to his customers but to his own employees as well. He refused to change my oil because I wouldn't accept his up-sell to the most expensive oil they had. I came in with a coupon for the oil I wanted and he refused to do it, would only service me if I got the most expensive oil possible and they didn't have a coupon for that oil coincidently. Ended up going to Oil Changers in Simi Valley, just a few streets down. Took only 15 minutes, for exceptional service and the prices are unbeatable. Don't waste your time giving this douche bag Jeff your business who will only try to rob you

Manager is a total a-wipe. Many unnecessary and rude comments. Tried to charge me $700 AFTER a "$100 off coupon" for repairs I didn't need after I went in just to get my break pads changed. Women beware Maintenance techs were fast, educated, efficient and helpful. No problem there
