“Otto’s and sons is the ultimate candy store for rose lovers. If you are visiting on a warm day, I highly suggest bringing a sun hat as the sun blares out here. They carry a plethora of roses ranging from climbers, trees, bushes and mini roses. Majority of roses range between $35-$60. There is a bathroom on site in their warehouse. For check out, you have to find staff as they are roaming around the grounds.
I purchased Koko Loco and Earth Angel bushes. It’s been a week and they seem to be healthy, thriving, and blooming. I look forward to returning even if it’s just to window shop and enjoy the roses.”

“??This is a local nursery with a knowledgeable and helpful owner on the premises. Saul has reasonable prices and has grown many of the plants right on the premises. He is fluent in English and Spanish. I have shopped there for almost 20 years. It’s located at the bottom of the Norwegian Grade as you leave Thousand Oaks to enter Moorpark. It’s on the left just as you pass the iconic Joel McCrea Ranch. Support local businesses??”
“I can always count on DIY Center to have exactly what I need whenever I’m in the area. Whether it’s a standard part or something a bit more specific, their inventory is consistently reliable, which saves me a ton of time.

“I had never shopped at a nursery before and I was very nervous because I didn't know the process, but as soon as we parked, Brandon came right up to help. He answered all of our questions professionally and with good humor and had so much patience with my indecision and rambunctious toddler. The prices were excellent and the plants beautiful, I couldn't be happier with how my garden looks on my humble budget. Will definitely be skipping the big stores from now on and coming back to Sterling.”

“I went to Smith Pipe this afternoon as I needed their guidance to repair or replace an automatic, Champion brass anti siphon valve. The two employees who helped me, made great recommendations and explained how I should disassemble and rebuild the valve. They saved me time AND money. I've always had a great experience with Smith Pipe. I highly recommend them.”

“Easy freeway access in a peaceful setting, near the freeway but not noisy. Colorful Garden Center has everything from 6-packs of veggies to shrubs to trees. I was particularly interested in the 6-packs given that at the time of my visit we were at the 1st weekend of April. They still had winter vegetables as well as summer (tomatoes, squash, cukes) starts. I had questions about fruit trees, and found them to be very knowledgeable, full of wisdom about what size pot to buy if you don't want to wait eons for your first piece of fruit. Great place!”
