Don went above and beyond to transform a model boat that was unpainted into a boat ready to go into the water with a motor, the name for the boat, and other exceptional details. From day one, the customer service was caring and responsive. You are treated like a family member when you bring your project here. Race Prep Hobbies is the best!

It's a small R/C Shop and its really the only one relatively close by and one of the only ones in Simi Valley. I couldn't find what I needed and the stock is kind of low but the owner is extremely helpful and I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

I popped into this store today with a friend. Don was so helpful, he spent well over an hour talking to us about converting our Slashes to drag. He was so knowledgeable a wealth of info! I called Don up asked him if he has some parts I needed. He said yes. I drove over from Calabasas to Simi. By the time I got there, it was almost 430. He closes at 4, but said come in and got the parts I needed. Don did not have to do this, but so grateful he did! He has earned a costumer for life! Thank you so much!!!!

Very helpful staff and owner. Took my sons Traxxas in for a new motor. The owner was knowledgeable, helpful and had the parts in stock. This will be my go to RC spot in Simi.

I was actually surprised the owner asked me if I needed help when he had two other customers. I'm surprised because most stores I walk into don't like me maybe because I look a little intimidating. Needless to say I spent 1000 dollars here for that very reason. I like being able to walk in and support a local business anyway. He helped me one other time on some soldering and doesn't mind matching anything you may see on Amazon or what not. Highly recommended.

Great local R/C shop! Don is always very helpful. We have bought a couple of R/C cars from Race Prep. The first time was for my son's 9th birthday, and when Don thought the shipment wasn't going to make it on time, he drove out to another shop and made sure my son was able to receive his R/C car on his birthday. My son is always breaking parts on his car and Don is always very helpful in showing him what parts he needs and how to fix it himself. We highly recommend Race Prep!
