This is a warning to anyone who rents with Budget. This is a review of corporate because this is who you will deal with if you have any issues There will be no help from corporate. They are hard to reach, they do not return phone calls, and rep. who calls and claims to be supervisor can't resolve the issues, and they have the power to put a hold on your credit card. We finally had to hire an attorney. Here is story Rented car with full coverage with 2 drivers so my son (29) could drive the car. Car broke down. Car replacement broke down this time in a parking garage at midnight. They called towing service # on car key and towing wouldn't give a time estimate to pick up car. An hour later garage was closing so they left and took Uber home. ($100.) Next day was told car was towed. Three days later told Budget called, they couldn't find car and it was our responsibility. REMEMBER-we had full coverage that included theft? Couldn't get hold of supervisor, no return phone calls from Budget for days and only after days and many many phone calls, nobody could help and it still isn't resolved. Hold and charges on our credit card. HOURS and hours trying to sort this out. We have a recording of towing company saying they towed the car. We have recording of Budget putting us on three way with towing and being told "Yes. car was towed." Budget said no because they couldn't find the car and we were responsible because my son left the car in the garage. He was with his fiancé in deserted garage at 1 am being told they had to leave by garage security. What was the alternative? We still are being charged for a week rental and there is still a hold on our credit card. 3 weeks later. Any help ideas are welcome. An aside that is aimed at store in TO where we rented: first car had 43,000 miles, dirty, scratched up, and 3/4 of a tank of gas. Broke down. Car #2 was filthy with dirty fingernail clippings on the floor. Pictures upon request. This car wouldn't start in a parking lot at midnight. A dangerous situation.

Fabio is awesome! He always does a thorough inspection and is so friendly! I was running a bit late one time because I didn't realize their hours changed and he was so kind about it! I've seen him interact with many customers and he's great!

Don't even bother. Rented a truck online several weeks in advance even received an email confirmation a couple days prior. Then I got a call the morning I am supposed to pick up the truck letting me know that won't have any trucks till the following week.

Please save my most recent review of Avis Car Rental which I initially thought was Budget Car Rental, however apparently on Yelp they are listed as Budget Truck Rental. Epic fail guys

Avoid this place at all costs. Will not help you and will hang up the phone on you because "they have a lot of things to do"

They were trying to guage me on different fees even though i told them i had a reservation. They never stated that they charged $20 late fee per day on top of an additional day. I called a few times and no answer.

I'm literally stranded at the pickup location right now. I come to the pickup location, here, the representative has me sign the paperwork, charges my card, gives me the keys. I go to the truck and try to start it. It doesn't start, the battery is dead. I tell the representative, he seems shocked and surprised. He tries to start the truck, it doesn't start. He tells me that my only options are (1) I can either cancel the reservation and go find a truck somewhere else, (2) have him jump start the truck, which doesn't charge the battery, or (3) I can go by a battery myself and they'll reimburse it later. Remember, this is all happening at the pickup location. It's Friday, end of the work day, and I don't have any other options, I have to move my family across the state. I've been trying to talk to someone at their hotline for the past 2 hours. It's not just this location, Budget is the problem all across the board. This is my first and last time renting Budget. Go with a U-haul, folks.

I had read the negative reviews, but (foolishly) thought, how bad could it be? I made a reservation for 5/31, yes, it was Memorial Day, but the reservation was accepted, and in addition to the confirmation email I was sent 2 more emails about the upcoming truck rental. I arrived in the morning, the sign on the door says "closed for Memorial Day", I called the reservation line, I was supposed to be called by the local dealer to cancel (which did not happen). My son found an alternative (thank you Home Depot), so I told them I was cancelling the truck (which was not available) reservation. I was told there would be a $75 cancellation fee. Because I do not swear, I said "you have got to be kidding me", it was eventually waived. Believe me, they ARE that bad.

This place is a joke. I'd give -10 stars if I could. These people don't even know how to wipe their own a*** Do not plan a vacation while using this company. They will screw it all up. I was charged full price paid upfront for a discount. I get a call not even 24 hours before I leave for my vacation that they couldn't find a van I needed. I had to rush around looking for another company that had a van. Wait 10 days for my money back, pay another $600 while I wait for the return. Total crap sh*t show STAY STAY STAY AWAY.....

Always great to work with. If your doing something that requires a truck in CA come here. Better pricing then Uhall, enterprise truck rentals, budget, etc offer worse vehicles for more $.

Horrible, horrible experience. I went to rent a car at this location for the 5th time in 2 months. All other rentals, smooth. This time I prepaid my rental online and was told to sign up to FastBreak as it gave me perks. I went to the counter to pick up my car (took a $14 Lyft ride there) to be told the deposit for incidentals was increased from $100 to $250. Yes, $150 more than before. So I kindly asked the gentleman if I could pay the $100 deposit like all the previous times and was told there was no changing the NEW deposit policy. Ok, I understand. I was then told to call customer service to cancel and that due to their cancellation policy of not cancelling within the 24 hour window I would be charged the entire cost of the rental non refundable. So, I have no rental car but being charged the full amount. I didn't think to call and verify because the previous 4 rentals my deposit was $100 and refunded after returning the car. Now, I am out the rental car cost of $90 and paid for a Lyft to and from which was $28 and YEP, you got it, no rental car for what I needed this weekend. Out $118 dollars.I am not only highly disappointed but in a very hard spot with where I need to go! I guess I will always call and verify everytime now and NEVER rent from Budget again. Their customer service is horrible for someone who is an avid renter!
