The service department at Simi Valley Chevrolet is my favorite group of down-to-earth guys. I normally hate taking my car into service at the dealer because I'm always waiting for an upsell. I don't get any of that here. I'm able to check my emails while I wait (with a free coffee!) in a quiet, clean waiting room. It's a win all the way around.

Really friendly and very laid back. I didn’t feel pushed into anything. Best experience I’ve had at a dealership.

When I made my appointment, I specifically asked to have my car inspected for an upcoming weekend trip. I emphasized the importance of having the tires looked at. After not hearing back, I had to text Edward for an update on my car, and then received a sudden phone call saying that the car was ready. When I asked about the condition of my Tahoe's tires and mentioned my long trip, Edward simply told me that I needed new tires and that I had 20 minutes to pick up my car. This level of service is unacceptable and I am extremely disappointed with the experience.

Came here to look at corvettes. They had a couple used ones and a new one. They didn’t let me test drive the car and they expect you to buy without test driving? Also they don’t really negotiate compared to some other high volumes dealers. Just bought a new c8 from another dealer close by who let me test drive a c8 and gave me a great price!

I went there from Sacramento, everyone was very welcoming and friendly. I got a good deal compare to here. It’s my first time trying Chevrolet, I hope I won’t be disappointed lol
Gabe was above and beyond, because of him I’ll definitely refer other people, thank you.

I originally had 2 issues.
First being the radio started acting strange and that impacted the engine stop and accessory off functions. On one occasion, the display was acting very slowly with the Android Auto map so I pulled over and was going to turn the car off to reset the radio. In park, I could not get the engine to turn off. It took multiple attempts to get the engine to turn off. I opened the car door to get the accessories/radio to turn off and nothing happened. I was trying everything and combination of everything to turn off the accessories. I rolled the windows down, got out of the car and closed the doors and walked 50 feet away from the car with the key in my hand and I could still hear the radio playing. Back in the car, everything finally shut off after some combination of button pushing, I don't recall exactly what got the car to shut down.
Then one day I got in the car and before going anywhere, the volume on the radio would only go louder regardless of what button you pushed. Turning the car off and back on did nothing to allow you to turn the volume down. I had to disconnect the battery to reset the radio and it began working correctly.
Very odd because after this, all of a sudden I had automatic headlights that had never worked in the last 10 months. I never knew the car had that feature or how to turn it on or off.
Second issue also radio related was the sound system quality. With any station playing, using the balance feature, the left front speaker sounded normal, the front right was a little quieter, the back right was a little more quiet and you could barely hear the back left speaker.
Visit 1 The only thing done to the car was a software update. This was suppose to fix the volume control issue. I have not had any issues with the radio acting slow or the volume sticking. However, now my phone will not connect the with Android Auto. The phone will connect but not to Android Auto. When I mentioned this to service, I was told it is probably my phone. Also, no change in the poor quality of the sound system.
Visit 2 They replaced the radio to fix the phone connection issue and the sound quality. I got the car back and absolutely nothing had changed. Android Auto does not work and it still sounds like crap.
Visit 2 I was told they tried swapping speakers with left to right and that it made no change but they were going to order new rear speakers and the tech could connect to Android Auto.
Well, there is now no sound out of the left rear speaker and I still cannot connect to Android Auto. Now you are telling yourself, It is this guys phone! Well, in the following week I ended up in 2 different Malibu's, one from Hurtz and one from Enterprise and my phone connected flawlessly to both. I took a video of it so I would not hear the excuse about it being my phone again.
Visit 4 Better but far from a home run. Someone finally figured out it was not my phone but an issue in the car regarding the ability to connect to Android Auto. They didn't tell me what they did but it is now working and that has to be good enough.
About the quality of the sound, they put in 2 rear speakers. Now the rear sound the same, crap.
The left front sound normal, right front is muffled, the rear are more muffled.
The final answer for the sound system from service. I have a car with a very low end sound system.
That is an understatement.
I asked the service person if they would be ok with this sound quality and they said they would never buy a car with a low end radio system.
So GM is willing to make and sell a car that there own sales people would not buy.
Keep up the good quality but I will stick with my Toyota Tundra Platinum 4X4 that at 150k miles has only need LOFs, brakes, and tires. I will be working to convince my company to move to a Toyot
